図1及び図2に示すように、ハイブリッド車両Vは、基本的に、エンジンENGと、駆動ユニット1と、制御装置2と、補機3と、を備える。エンジンENG及び駆動ユニット1は、例えば、車両前部のエンジンルーム内に配置される。なお、図1中、太い実線は機械連結を示し、二重実線は電力配線を示し、細い実線は制御信号を示す。
次に、図3から図5を参照して、駆動ユニット1に含まれる第1回転電機10、第2回転電機20、及びPCU40について説明する。
回転電機ハウジング50の上面とPCUハウジング60の下面との隙間には、外部から液体(例えば雨水等の水滴)が浸入することがある。コネクタ70のコイル接続端子72やコネクタ端子73に液体が浸入すると、短絡を引き起こして故障に繋がる虞がある。そこで、コイル接続端子72及びコネクタ端子73に液体が浸入するのを防止するために、コネクタ70にはシール構造が設けられている。以下では、回転電機ハウジング50の上面における前側に設けられた第2コネクタ70bのシール構造について説明するが、後側に設けられた第1コネクタ70aについても同一の構成を有する。また、第2コネクタ70bを単にコネクタ70とも称する。
