Description
この電池セルは、封口板の反対側の端面である外装缶の底面に薄肉部からなる排出弁を設けているので、内圧が異常に高くなると外装缶の底面側から高温・高圧の排出ガスを排出して、封口板側からは排出しない。この電池セルは、外装缶底面に設けた排出弁の開口部に排出ダクトを連結して、外装缶の底面側から排出される高温・高圧の排出ガスを外部に排気する構造として電池モジュールが組み立てられる。
Claims (10)
- 内圧が設定圧力を越えると開弁する排出弁の排出口を設けてなる端面を排気側端面とし、前記排気側端面と反対側の端面を非排気側端面とする複数の電池セルと、
前記電池セルを定位置に配列してなる電池ホルダーと、
前記電池ホルダーで定位置に配置してなる前記電池セルの前記排出口に連結してなる排気ダクトと、
前記排気側端面に対向して、前記電池セルの電極端子を接続してなるバスバーとを備える電池モジュールであって、
前記電池セルの前記非排気側端面の対向位置に、前記非排気側端面の内圧による変形を阻止するストッパを配置してなり、
前記電池セルが、
一端を開口して底面を閉塞してなる外装缶と、
前記外装缶の開口縁に気密に連結されて開口部を密閉し、かつ電極端子を設けてなる封口板とを備え、
前記電池セルは、前記外装缶の底面に、設定圧力で薄肉部を破壊する前記排出弁を設けており、
前記電池セルが、底面を排気側端面として、前記封口板側を非排気側端面としてなることを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項1に記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記電池セルが円筒形電池であることを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項1または2に記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記ストッパが前記封口板を押圧することを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項3に記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記ストッパが前記封口板の平面部を押圧することを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項1または2に記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記ストッパが前記封口板に設けてなる凸部電極を押圧することを特徴とする電池モジ
ュール。 - 請求項1または2に記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記ストッパが前記封口板の外周縁のカシメ部を押圧することを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記ストッパが絶縁材であることを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記バスバーが前記ストッパを介して前記非排気側端面を押圧することを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記ストッパが前記電池ホルダーに一体的に成形されてなることを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載される電池モジュールであって、
前記電池ホルダーを内側に配置してなる筐体を備え、
前記筐体が、直接に、あるいは前記電池ホルダーと前記バスバーの何れか又は両方を介して前記ストッパを前記非排気側端面に押圧することを特徴とする電池モジュール。
