Description
Claims (10)
- 透光性を有する第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板と向かい合う第2の基板と、
前記第1の基板の、前記第2の基板側の面に配置され、光透過性を有する第1の電極と、
前記第2の基板の、前記第1の基板側の面に配置され、部分的に絶縁領域が設けられた第2の電極と、
前記第1および第2の電極の間に挟まれ、前記第1および第2の基板の法線方向から見たときに枠状の形状を有するシール枠部材と、
前記第1および第2の基板、ならびに、前記シール枠部材により画定される空間内に充填され、前記第1および第2の電極の表面で起こりうる電気化学反応により、光学状態が変化する電解質層と、
前記第1の基板の、前記第2の基板側であって、前記シール枠部材の外側に設けられ、前記第1の電極に接続され、前記第1の電極よりも電気抵抗率が低い第1の接続電極と、
前記第2の基板の、前記第1の基板側であって、前記シール枠部材の外側に設けられ、前記第2の電極に接続された第2の接続電極と、
を備え、
前記絶縁領域が、前記第2の電極の前記第1の電極側の面に配置された絶縁部材、または前記第2の電極に設けた孔であり、
前記第1および第2の基板の法線方向から見たときに、前記シール枠部材に囲まれた前記第2の電極の領域内において、前記第1の接続電極に近い領域が包含する前記絶縁領域の割合が、前記シール枠部材の中央に位置する領域が包含する前記絶縁領域の割合よりも高い、光学素子。 - 前記第1および第2の基板の法線方向から見た場合に、
前記第1および第2の接続電極は、前記シール枠部材および前記電解質層を挟んで、相互に対向して配置されており、
前記シール枠部材に囲まれた前記第2の電極の領域内であって、前記第1および第2の接続電極を横断する仮想直線上に、前記第1の接続電極に相対的に近い第1の領域、前記第1の接続電極から相対的に遠い第2の領域、および、前記第1および第2の領域の中間に位置する第3の領域を設定したとき、前記第1の領域が包含する前記絶縁領域の割合が、前記第3の領域が包含する前記絶縁領域の割合よりも高い、請求項1記載の光学素子。 - 前記第2の領域が包括する前記絶縁領域の割合は、前記第3の領域が包括する前記絶縁領域の割合よりも高い、請求項2記載の光学素子。
- 前記第2の電極は、光透過性を有する部材を含む請求項3記載の光学素子。
- 前記第2の領域が包括する前記絶縁領域の割合は、前記第3の領域が包括する前記絶縁領域の割合よりも低い、請求項2記載の光学素子。
- 前記第2の電極は、光反射性を有する金属部材を含む請求項5記載の光学素子。
- 前記第2の電極は、前記第2の基板の表面に設けられる導電層と、前記導電層の表面に設けられ、前記絶縁領域を構成する絶縁部材と、を含む請求項1~6いずれか1項記載の光学素子。
- 前記絶縁部材と前記電解質層との屈折率差は、0.15よりも小さい請求項7記載の光学素子。
- 前記第2の電極は、前記絶縁領域を構成する孔部が設けられた導電層を含む請求項1~6いずれか1項記載の光学素子。
- 前記第2の電極に設けられる絶縁領域の幅は、1mm以下である請求項1~9いずれか1項記載の光学素子。
