Further, the back door structure according to the present invention is
In the above backdoor structure
One of the upper member and the lower member is characterized in that, at the abutting portion between the upper member and the lower member, a flange is also formed so as to cover the other end portion .

In the back door structure according to the present invention, since a flange is provided at the abutting portion between the upper member and the lower member to cover the other end from one end, a portion that wraps around the upper member and the lower member is formed. , The adhesiveness between the upper member and the lower member is enhanced, and the rigidity of the back door can be improved.

Further, in the back door structure according to the present invention, since the adhesive easily protrudes from the gap between the upper member and the lower member, it can be confirmed that the adhesive is surely filled in the abutting portion, and the adhesive layer is pinned with voids or the like. Holes are less likely to occur, and the liquidtightness of the adhesive layer can be improved.

The back door structure according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. The following description exemplifies one embodiment of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the following description. Therefore, the following description can be modified without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

FIG. 1 shows a back door structure 1 according to the present invention. The back door 10 is composed of a back door inner panel 12, a back door outer panel 14, and a back door glass 16. The back door inner panel 12 is an integral body made of resin. The back door outer panel 14 is made of a metal plate. The back door outer panel 14 is composed of two members, an upper member 20 and a lower member 22. The upper member 20 and the lower member 22 are divided into upper and lower parts in the middle of the vertical column portion 10f constituting the window frame 10a of the back door 10.

Therefore, the lower ends 20e of the upper member 20 of the back door outer panel 14 are present at two locations in the middle of the left and right vertical pillar portions 10f. Further, the upper ends 22e of the lower member 22 of the back door outer panel 14 are also present at two locations in the middle of the left and right vertical pillar portions 10f.

The back door 10 abuts the back door outer panel 14 against the back door inner panel 12 and adheres to the back door 10. After that, an adhesive layer 18 (see FIG. 2C) is formed in the mounting area 14a of the back door glass 16 provided on the back door outer panel 14, and the back door glass 16 is attached.

2(c))。 FIG. 2 shows an assembly drawing of the abutting portion 30 of the upper member 20 and the lower member 22. In FIG. 2A, the lower member 22 of the backdoor outer panel 14 is attached to the backdoor inner panel 12 (FIGS. 2A and 2B), and then the upper member 20 of the backdoor outer panel 14 is attached. (Fig. 2 (b) and Fig. 2 (c)).

The mounting area 14a of the back door glass 16 is provided on the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 surrounding the back door glass 16. FIG. 2C illustrates a part of the adhesive layer 18 provided in the mounting region 14a. Here, an example in which the adhesive layers 18 are provided in two rows is shown, but other forms may be provided. Further, the adhesive layer 18 is arranged all over the area surrounding the back door glass 16.

FIG. 3B shows an enlarged view of the abutting portion 30. FIG. 3A is a partially enlarged view of FIG. 2B. The abutting portions 30 are present at two locations on the vertical pillar portion 10f (see FIG. 1) of the window frame 10a, but FIG. 3 shows one location. The left and right abutting portions 30 have the same configuration. In the abutting portion 30, the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 are abutted at both side portions 14s of the vertical column portion 10f via the gap 14b. The gap 14b is a narrow distance of about several mm. The virtual boundary at the center of the gap 14b is called the abutting line 14c.

At the abutting portion 30, the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 are connected to the back door inner panel 12 by a locking portion (not shown). Further, the upper end 22e of the lower member 22 is provided with a fitting hole 22h (see FIG. 3A) for fitting with the back door inner panel 12 separately from the locking portion.

The fitting hole 22h extends from the abutting line 14c to the upper member 20 side. That is, it extends from the upper end 22e of the lower member 22 to the upper member 20 side. The lower end 20e of the upper member 20 has a width narrower than the width of the vertical column portion 10f, and a flange 20f extends downward. The flange 20f is formed to have a length that covers the upper end 22e of the lower member 22.

On the other hand, in the lower member 22, in addition to the fitting hole 22h, a recessed portion is formed in a portion covered by the flange 20f by the thickness of the flange 20f (flange receiving portion 22r). The surfaces on both sides of the flange receiving portion 22r are formed at the same height as the surfaces of the upper members 20 facing each other at the time of abutting. Here, the height means the height from the surface of the backdoor inner panel 12.

Therefore, when the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 are abutted against each other, the abutting portion 30 is formed flush with each other. Although the flange 20f is formed on the upper member 20 side here, a flange may be formed on the lower member 22 side and a flange receiving portion may be formed on the upper member 20 side.

Further, in the lower member 22, a concave bead 22v narrower than the width of the flange 20f extends downward from the abutting portion 30. On the lower member 22 side, the fitting hole 22h is formed lower than the height of the surface of the flange receiving portion 22r (on the back door inner panel 12 side). A rib 22L having a height up to the surface of the flange receiving portion 22r is provided at the lower end of the fitting hole 22h. The concave bead 22v is formed from the rib 22L.

FIG. 3 (c) shows a BB cross section (cross section on the adhesive layer 18) of FIG. 3 (b). The rib 22L extends to the lower surface of the flange 20f. Reference numeral 12t is a protrusion on the back door inner panel 12 side that fits into the fitting hole 22h.

The flange receiving portion 22r and the flange 20f have an effect of improving the rigidity against the stress applied when the back door 10 is opened, as will be described later.

In the back door outer panel 14, the portion of the vertical pillar portion 10f is set as a mounting area for adhering the back door glass 16. Therefore, an adhesive layer 18 for adhering the back door glass 16 is formed on both side portions 14s of the flange 20f (see FIG. 2C).

FIG. 4 shows a cross section taken along the line AA of FIG. 2 (c). The AA cross section of FIG. 2C is a portion of the abutting portion 30 that is not the flange 20f. The lower end 20e of the upper member 20 and the upper end 22e of the lower member 22 are tapered in the thickness direction. Therefore, when the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 are abutted through the gap, the gap 21a on the back door glass 16 side and the gap 21b on the back door inner panel 12 side in the thickness direction of the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 The length is different.

Next, a step of attaching the back door outer panel 14 to the back door inner panel 12 will be described with reference to FIG. With reference to FIG. 5A, the adhesive layer 12a is formed on the backdoor inner panel 12. When the back door outer panel 14 is adhered to the back door inner panel 12, it is adhered while being pressed against the adhesive layer 12a. In other words, the adhesive layer 12a is attached while being crushed.

At that time, if a taper is formed in the thickness direction at the ends of the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 of the abutting portion 30, the adhesive of the adhesive layer 12a leaks from the gap (see FIG. 5B). ). As a result, the gap formed between the upper member 20 and the abutting portion 30 of the lower member 22 is filled with the adhesive.

In this state, when the back door glass 16 coated with the adhesive layer 16a is pressed (see FIG. 5C), the gap between the upper member 20 and the abutting portion 30 of the lower member 22 is completely filled with the adhesive. (See FIG. 5 (d)). Although the back door glass 16 has been described with the adhesive layer 16a applied in advance, the adhesive layer 16a may be formed on the back door outer panel 14 side.

The operation of the back door structure 1 having the above configuration will be described. When opening the back door 10, the back door 10 is lifted by holding the pull handle inside the back door 10. At this time, the back door outer panel 14 is subjected to a twisting deformation force, and the lower member 22 tends to be displaced toward the back door glass 16 with respect to the upper member 20. However, since the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 are connected by the flange 20f, the displacement of the lower member 22 is suppressed.

Further, the vertical concave bead 22v provided at the abutting portion 30 of the lower member 22 enhances the rigidity of the vertical pillar portion 10f of the back door 10. Therefore, the displacement is further suppressed.

Further, in the abutting portion 30, since the gap between the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 is different in the thickness direction (see FIG. 4), the adhesive on the wide gap side protrudes into the narrow gap. Therefore, the adhesive is surely filled in the gap between the upper member 20 and the abutting portion 30 of the lower member 22, and the occurrence of pinholes (void-like omissions) of the adhesive that normally tends to occur in the abutting portion is suppressed. .. Therefore, it is possible to prevent water from entering between the back door glass 16 and the back door outer panel 14 or between the back door outer panel 14 and the back door inner panel 12.

Further, in the structure in which the adhesive protrudes from the abutting portion 30, the back door glass 16 can be attached after confirming the protrusion of the adhesive at the time of manufacturing. Therefore, it also serves as a confirmation index as to whether or not the back door outer panel 14 is sufficiently adhered to the back door inner panel 12, and contributes to the reduction of poor adhesion.

Further, the upper member 20 is formed with a flange 20f at the abutting portion 30 so as to cover the upper end 22e of the lower member 22. Adhesive layers 18 are provided on both sides of the flange 20f. Further, a rib 22L having the same height as the flange receiving portion 22r is provided at the lower end of the fitting hole 22h of the lower member 22. That is, in the abutting portion 30, all the portions that enter the gap between the upper member 20 and the lower member 22 are closed. Therefore, even if the back door glass 16 is broken, the broken glass is prevented from entering between the back door inner panel 12 and the back door outer panel 14.

As described above, the back door structure according to the present invention improves the strength when the back door outer panel is divided into two structures and prevents water and foreign matter from entering through the back door glass.

The present invention can be suitably used for a resin back door having a structure in which the back door outer panel is divided into two parts.
