i)工程e)による配置場所から第二の成形体(1b)を取り出す工程、
j)第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)と第二の成形体(1b)の加熱された接合面(2b)とを接触させ、加熱された端部(2a)と加熱された接合面(2b)とを互いに接触させながら、第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)と第二の成形体(1b)の加熱された接合面(2b)とを冷却し、第一の成形体(1a)と第二の成形体(1b)との間に溶着部を形成する工程、
を含む方法により解決される。
工程a)では、第一の成形体(1a)を用意する。
工程b)において、第二の成形体(1b)を用意する。第二の成形体(1b)は、接合面(2b)を含む。この接合面(2b)は、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーを含有している。
工程c)において、金型(5)を用意する。金型(5)は、第一の外面(6a)および第二の外面(6b)を有する。
工程d)において、第一の成形体(1a)を配置する。端部(2a)は、流路入口面(14a)に対して垂直に延びる方向において、流路入口面(14a)までの距離(Xa)を有する。本発明によると、距離(Xa)は、流路(7a)の外側3mmから流路(7a)の内側10mmの範囲にある。距離(Xa)は、流路(7a)の内側0mm〜10mmの範囲、殊に好ましくはそれぞれ流路(7a)の内側0.5mm〜8mmの範囲にあるのが好ましい。
d)第一の成形体(1a)を配置し、
ここで端部(2a)は、流路入口面(14a)に対して垂直に延びる方向において、流路入口面(14a)までの距離(Xa)が、流路(7a)の内側0〜10mmの範囲にあり、
ここで第一の側面(3a)は、第一の流路壁(8a)までの最短距離(Y1a)が、0.2〜5mmの範囲、好ましくは0.5〜4mmの範囲、殊に好ましくは1〜3mmの範囲にあり、

工程e)において、第二の成形体(1b)を配置する。接合面(2b)は、流路入口面(14b)に対して垂直に延びる方向において、流路入口面(14b)までの距離(Xb)を有する。本発明によると、距離(Xb)は、流路(7b)の外側3mmから流路(7b)の内側10mmの範囲にある。距離(Xb)は、流路(7b)の内側0mm〜10mmの範囲、殊に好ましくはそれぞれ流路(7b)の内側0.5mm〜8mmの範囲にあるのが好ましい。
工程f)において、高温ガスを、ガスを流路(7a)に供給する手段(11a)により供給する。その際、第一の成形体(1a)の端部(2a)が加熱され、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが溶融される。
工程g)において、高温ガスを、ガスを流路(7b)に供給する手段(11b)により供給する。その際、第二の成形体(1b)の接合面(2b)が加熱され、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが溶融される。
工程h)において、第一の成形体(1a)を工程d)による配置場所から取り出す。工程i)において、第二の成形体(1b)を工程e)による配置場所から取り出す。
工程j)において、第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)と第二の成形体(1b)の加熱された接合面(2b)とを接触させる。加熱された端部(2a)と加熱された接合面(2b)とを互いに接触させながら、第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)と第二の成形体(1b)の加熱された接合面(2b)とを冷却する。その際、第一の成形体(1a)と第二の成形体(1b)との間に溶着部が形成される。溶着された成形体が得られる。
実施例B1および比較例V2において、成形体(1a、1b)として、厚さ4mmのPA6 GF30プレート(30%のガラス繊維を有するポリアミド6)を使用した。
第一の外面(6a)および第二の外面(6b)が互いに向かい合って置かれており、かつ第一の外面(6a)の流路(7a)が第二の外面(6b)の流路(7b)と向かい合って置かれている金型(5)を使用した。第一の流路壁(8a、8b)および第二の流路壁(9a、9b)は、底部(10a、10b)に対してそれぞれ垂直に、かつ互いに平行に向けられており、ここで第一の流路壁(8a、8b)と第二の流路壁(9a、9b)との間の距離は、それぞれ6mmであった。底部(10a、10b)は、ガスを流路(7a、7b)に供給する手段(11a、11b)として、ノズルを含んでいた。成形体(1a、1b)を、流路(7a、7b)の内側において流路入口面(14a、14b)から3.5mmの距離(X)に配置し、成形体(1a、1b)の第一の側面(3a、3b)から第一の流路壁(8a、8b)までの距離(Y1)、および成形体(1a、1b)の第二の側面(4a、4b)から第二の流路壁(9a、9b)までの距離(Y2)は、それぞれ1mmであった。成形体(1a、1b)の端部(2a、2b)から、ガスを供給する手段(11a、11b)(ノズル)の最高地点までの距離は、5mmであった。
第一の外面(6a)および第二の外面(6b)が互いに向かい合って置かれており、かつ第一の外面(6a)の流路(7a)が第二の外面(6b)の流路(7b)と向かい合って置かれている金型(5)を使用した。第一の流路壁(8a、8b)および第二の流路壁(9a、9b)は、底部(10a、10b)に対してそれぞれ垂直に、かつ互いに平行に向けられており、ここで第一の流路壁(8a、8b)と第二の流路壁(9a、9b)との間の距離は、それぞれ16mmであった。底部(10a、10b)は、ガスを流路(7a、7b)に供給する手段(11a、11b)として、ノズルを含んでいた。成形体(1a、1b)を、流路(7a、7b)の内側において流路入口面(14a、14b)から3.5mmの距離(X)に配置し、成形体(1a、1b)の第一の側面(3a、3b)から第一の流路壁(8a、8b)までの距離(Y1)、および成形体(1a、1b)の第二の側面(4a、4b)から第二の流路壁(9a、9b)までの距離(Y2)は、それぞれ6mmであった。成形体(1a、1b)の端部(2a、2b)から、ガスを供給する手段(11a、11b)(ノズル)の最高地点までの距離は、5mmであった。

第二の成形体(1b)が、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーを含有する接合面(2b)を含む、
第一の成形体(1a)と第二の成形体(1b)とを溶着する方法であって、

a)第一の成形体(1a)を用意する工程、

かつここで、距離(Xa)が流路(7a)の内側0mm〜10mmの範囲にある場合、第一の側面(3a)は、第一の流路壁(8a)までの最短距離(Y1a)が0.2〜5mmの範囲にあり、第二の側面(4a)は、第二の流路壁(9a)までの最短距離(Y2a)が0.2〜5mmの範囲にあり、
e)第二の成形体(1b)を配置する工程、
ここで接合面(2b)は、流路入口面(14b)に対して垂直に延びる方向において、流路入口面(14b)までの距離(Xb)が、流路(7b)の外側3mmから流路(7b)の内側10mmの範囲にあり、
ここで、距離(Xb)が流路(7b)の外側0mm超〜3mmの範囲にある場合、接合面(2b)は、少なくとも部分的に外部流路領域(17b)内に存在し、
かつここで、距離(Xb)が流路(7b)の内側0mm〜10mmの範囲にある場合、第二の成形体(1b)は、第一の側面(3b)および第二の側面(4b)をさらに有し、第一の側面(3b)は、第一の流路壁(8b)までの最短距離(Y1b)が0.2〜5mmの範囲にあり、第二の側面(4b)は、第二の流路壁(9b)までの最短距離(Y2b)が0.2〜5mmの範囲にあり、
f)ガスを流路(7a)に供給する手段(11a)を通じて高温ガスを供給する工程、ここで、第一の成形体(1a)の端部(2a)を加熱し、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーを溶融させ、
g)ガスを流路(7b)に供給する手段(11b)を通じて高温ガスを供給する工程、ここで、第二の成形体(1b)の接合面(2b)を加熱し、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーを溶融させ、
h)工程d)による配置場所から第一の成形体(1a)を取り出す工程、
i)工程e)による配置場所から第二の成形体(1b)を取り出す工程、
j)第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)と第二の成形体(1b)の加熱された接合面(2b)とを接触させ、加熱された端部(2a)と加熱された接合面(2b)とを互いに接触させながら、第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)と第二の成形体(1b)の加熱された接合面(2b)とを冷却し、第一の成形体(1a)と第二の成形体(1b)との間に溶着部を形成する工程、
を含む、方法。 - 工程f)において、第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが非晶質熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第一の成形体(1a)の端部(2a)を、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーのガラス転移温度(TG1)を上回る温度(T1a)に加熱し、第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが半結晶性熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第一の成形体(1a)の端部(2a)を、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーの融点(TM1)を上回る温度(T1a)に加熱し、かつ/または工程g)において、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが非晶質熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、接合面(2b)を、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーのガラス転移温度(TG2)を上回る温度(T1b)に加熱し、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが半結晶性熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、接合面(2b)を、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーの融点(TM2)を上回る温度(T1b)に加熱することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリアミド、ポリオキシメチレン、ポリスルホン、ポリフェニルスルホンおよびポリブチレンテレフタレートから成る群より選択され、かつ/または接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリアミド、ポリオキシメチレン、ポリスルホン、ポリフェニルスルホンおよびポリブチレンテレフタレートから成る群より選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーと、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーとが同じであることを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工程f)において、第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが非晶質熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第一の成形体(1a)の端部(2a)を、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーのガラス転移温度(TG1)を0〜300℃の範囲で上回る温度(T1a)に加熱し、第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが半結晶性熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第一の成形体(1a)の端部(2a)を、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーの融点(TM1)を0〜300℃の範囲で上回る温度(T1a)に加熱し、かつ/または工程g)において、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが非晶質熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第二の成形体(1b)の接合面(2b)を、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーのガラス転移温度(TG2)を0〜300℃の範囲で上回る温度(T1b)に加熱し、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが半結晶性熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第二の成形体(1b)の接合面(2b)を、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーの融点(TM2)を0〜300℃の範囲で上回る温度(T1b)に加熱することを特徴とする、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工程c)において用意した金型(5)の第一の外面(6a)が、金型(5)の第二の外面(6b)と向かい合っていることを特徴とする、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 第一の外面(6a)の流路(7a)の第一の流路壁(8a)が、第一の外面(6a)の流路(7a)の第二の流路壁(9a)に対して実質的に平行に向けられており、かつ/または第二の外面(6b)の流路(7b)の第一の流路壁(8b)が、第二の外面(6b)の流路(7b)の第二の流路壁(9b)に対して実質的に平行に向けられていることを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 距離(Xa)が流路(7a)の外側0mm超〜3mmの範囲にある場合に、端部(2a)が完全に外部流路領域(17a)内に存在するように、工程d)において第一の成形体(1a)を配置し、かつ/または距離(Xb)が流路(7b)の外側0mm超〜3mmの範囲にある場合に、接合面(2b)が完全に外部流路領域(17b)内に存在するように、工程e)において第二の成形体(1b)を配置することを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 距離(Xa)が流路(7a)の内側0〜10mmの範囲にあるように、工程d)において第一の成形体(1a)を配置することを特徴とする、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工程f)において供給される高温ガスが、CO2、N2および空気から成る群より選択され、かつ/または工程g)において供給される高温ガスが、CO2、N2および空気から成る群より選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工程f)において供給される高温ガスが、100〜600℃の範囲にある温度を有し、かつ/または工程g)において供給される高温ガスが、100〜600℃の範囲にある温度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から10までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工程j)において、第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが非晶質熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)を、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーのガラス転移温度(TG1)未満の温度(T2a)に冷却し、第一の熱可塑性ポリマーが半結晶性熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第一の成形体(1a)の加熱された端部(2a)を、端部(2a)に含有されている第一の熱可塑性ポリマーの融点(TM1)未満の温度(T2a)に冷却し、かつ/または工程j)において、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが非晶質熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第二の成形体(1b)の接合面(2b)を、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーのガラス転移温度(TG2)未満の温度(T2b)に冷却し、第二の熱可塑性ポリマーが半結晶性熱可塑性ポリマーである場合、第二の成形体(1b)の接合面(2b)を、接合面(2b)に含有されている第二の熱可塑性ポリマーの融点(TM2)未満の温度(T2b)に冷却することを特徴とする、請求項1から11までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 第一の成形体(1a)と第二の成形体(1b)との間にある、工程j)において形成された溶着部が、20〜500μmの範囲にある厚さを有することを特徴とする、請求項1から12までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
