Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る内燃機関1を概略的に示す部分断面図である。図1に示したように、内燃機関1は、シリンダブロック2、シリンダヘッド3、ピストン4、コンロッド5を備える。
図1及び図2に示したように、本実施形態のシリンダヘッド3は、吸気開口13の反排気開口側に設けられたマスク部60を備える。以下、図1及び図2に加えて、図8及び図9を参照して、マスク部60について説明する。なお、図2において、マスク部60には斜線を付してあるが、これはマスク部60を分かりやすく示すためのものであり、断面を示すものではない。
次に、図10〜図12を参照して、本実施形態に係る内燃機関1の作用及び効果について説明する。図10は、吸気弁21が開かれている場合における燃焼室7内に生じる吸気ガスの流れを概略的に示した図である。図11は、本実施形態とは異なるマスク部が設けられている場合におけるシリンダヘッドの一部の底面を示す、図8と同様な部分斜視図である。図12は、本実施形態とは異なるマスク部が設けられている場合におけるシリンダヘッドの底面を概略的に示す、図2と同様な部分底面図である。
なお、上記実施形態では、第2領域R2では、壁面61の高さが最低当接高さhaとされている。しかしながら、壁面61は、第2領域R2における高さが最低当接高さhaよりも高くなるように形成されてもよい。この場合でも、第3領域R3における排気開口側から最も離れて位置する領域では、壁面61の高さは最低当接高さhaとされる。

Claims (3)
- 燃焼室に面すると共に吸気弁によって開閉される二つの吸気開口と、
前記燃焼室に面すると共に排気弁によって開閉される排気開口と、
複数の噴孔を有する燃料噴射弁と、
前記排気開口側とは反対側において前記吸気開口の外縁に沿って前記燃焼室内に向かって延びる壁面を有するマスク部と、を備え、
前記燃料噴射弁は、前記二つの吸気開口の間であって該吸気開口よりも前記排気開口側とは反対側に前記噴孔が位置するように配置され、
前記複数の噴孔は、該複数の噴孔のうち気筒の軸線方向に対して垂直な平面からの角度が最も小さい方向に噴射を行う第1噴孔を含み、
前記壁面は、気筒の軸線方向に見たときに前記第1噴孔からの燃料噴霧の噴射範囲内に位置する第1噴孔噴射領域における高さが、該第1噴孔噴射領域以外の領域における高さよりも低くなるように形成される、内燃機関。 - 前記壁面は、気筒の軸線方向に見たときに前記第1噴孔からの燃料噴霧の噴射範囲外であって該第1噴孔以外の噴孔からの燃料噴霧の噴射範囲内に位置する他噴孔噴射領域における高さが、前記排気開口側から最も離れて位置する領域の高さと等しくなるように形成される、請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記第1噴孔は一つのみであり、
前記燃料噴射弁は、前記第1噴孔からの燃料噴霧の中心軸線が前記二つの吸気開口の間を通るように構成される、請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関。
