Description
〔1〕 合成石英ガラス基板の表面上に、金属膜又は金属化合物膜を有し、該金属膜又は金属化合物膜が、銀及びビスマスを含み、更に、リン、アンチモン、スズ及びインジウムからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素を含み、上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面の粗さ(Ra)が、2nm以下であることを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
〔2〕 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜が、上記合成石英ガラス基板の主表面の外周縁部に形成されている〔1〕に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
〔3〕 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の厚さが、1〜20μmである〔1〕又は〔2〕に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
〔4〕 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面の平坦度が、10μm以下である〔1〕〜〔3〕のいずれかに記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
〔5〕 光学素子パッケージ用であることを特徴とする〔1〕〜〔4〕のいずれかに記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
〔6〕 〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれかに記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面上に、更に金属系接着層を有することを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッド。
〔7〕 上記金属系接着層が、金、銀、銅、パラジウム、スズ、タングステン及びテルルからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素を含む〔6〕に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド。
〔8〕 〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれかに記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材を製造する方法であって、
合成石英ガラス基板の表面上に、銀及びビスマスと、リン、アンチモン、スズ及びインジウムからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素と、分散媒とを含む金属ペーストを塗布する工程、及び
塗布された金属ペーストを加熱し、焼結させることにより、金属膜又は金属化合物膜を形成する工程
を含むことを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の製造方法。
〔9〕 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜を形成するための金属ペースト中の銀の含有率が、65〜95質量%である〔8〕に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の製造方法。
〔10〕 〔8〕又は〔9〕に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の製造方法により形成された上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面上に、金属系接着層を形成するための金属ペーストを塗布する工程を含むことを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッドの製造方法。
〔11〕 上記金属系接着層を形成するための金属ペーストが、金、銀、銅、パラジウム、スズ、タングステン及びテルルからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素と、分散媒とを含む〔10〕に記載の合成石英ガラスリッドの製造方法。
本発明の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材は、例えば、図1(A)及び(B)に、各々、断面図及び平面図として示されるように、合成石英ガラス基板1の表面上、例えば、合成石英ガラス基板1の主表面の外周縁部に、金属膜又は金属化合物膜2が形成されたものである。この金属膜又は金属化合物膜は、合成石英ガラス基板の主表面以外に側面に形成されていてもよいが、主表面のみ、特に、光学素子が収容されている収容部材と接する一方の主表面のみに形成されていることが好ましい。また、金属膜又は金属化合物膜は、図1(A)及び(B)に示されるように、合成石英ガラス基板の中央部から光を取り出せるように、合成石英ガラス基板の主表面の外周縁部に形成することが好ましいが、必ずしも合成石英ガラス基板の外周縁まで形成されている必要はない。また、金属膜又は金属化合物膜は、合成石英ガラス基板の中央部に、光を取り出すことができる相応の範囲が確保される位置に、気密封止するのに十分な形状及び面積で形成されていればよい。
スライスされた合成石英ガラスウェーハ(4インチφ(約101.6mmφ)、厚さ0.2mm)を、遊星運動する両面ラップ研磨機でラップ研磨した後、遊星運動をする両面ポリッシュ研磨機で鏡面研磨して、合成石英ガラス基板を得た。
スライスされた合成石英ガラスウェーハ(6インチφ(約152.4mmφ)、厚さ0.5mm)を、遊星運動する両面ラップ研磨機でラップ研磨した後、遊星運動をする両面ポリッシュ研磨機で鏡面研磨して、合成石英ガラス基板を得た。

Claims (11)
- 合成石英ガラス基板の表面上に、金属膜又は金属化合物膜を有し、該金属膜又は金属化合物膜が、銀及びビスマスを含み、更に、リン、アンチモン、スズ及びインジウムからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素を含み、上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面の粗さ(Ra)が、2nm以下であることを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
- 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜が、上記合成石英ガラス基板の主表面の外周縁部に形成されている請求項1に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
- 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の厚さが、1〜20μmである請求項1又は2に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
- 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面の平坦度が、10μm以下である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
- 光学素子パッケージ用であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面上に、更に金属系接着層を有することを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッド。
- 上記金属系接着層が、金、銀、銅、パラジウム、スズ、タングステン及びテルルからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素を含む請求項6に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材を製造する方法であって、
合成石英ガラス基板の表面上に、銀及びビスマスと、リン、アンチモン、スズ及びインジウムからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素と、分散媒とを含む金属ペーストを塗布する工程、及び
塗布された金属ペーストを加熱し、焼結させることにより、金属膜又は金属化合物膜を形成する工程
を含むことを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の製造方法。 - 上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜を形成するための金属ペースト中の銀の含有率が、65〜95質量%である請求項8に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の製造方法。
- 請求項8又は9に記載の合成石英ガラスリッド用基材の製造方法により形成された上記金属膜又は金属化合物膜の表面上に、金属系接着層を形成するための金属ペーストを塗布する工程を含むことを特徴とする合成石英ガラスリッドの製造方法。
- 上記金属系接着層を形成するための金属ペーストが、金、銀、銅、パラジウム、スズ、タングステン及びテルルからなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の元素と、分散媒とを含む請求項10に記載の合成石英ガラスリッドの製造方法。
