Claims (7)
- 少なくとも1つのコーナ部(2)を形成する切れ刃部材(3)を備える切削工具であって、
前記切れ刃部材(3)の材料は、ダイヤモンド、立方晶窒化ほう素を含有する超高圧焼結体、または該超高圧焼結体の表面にコーティング膜が被膜されたものから選択され、
前記切れ刃部材(3)の端面(3a)と周側面との交差稜線の少なくとも一部に切れ刃(8)が形成され、
前記切れ刃部材(3)の前記端面(3a)には、ブレーカ壁面(5)を備えるチップブレーカ(4)が形成され、
前記ブレーカ壁面(5)は、該切削工具の外方に膨らむように湾曲する少なくとも1つの凸面部(6)と、該凸面部(6)に連続して形成され、該切削工具の内方にへこむように湾曲する少なくとも1つの凹面部(7)を有し、
前記切れ刃部材(3)の前記端面(3a)側からみて、前記凸面部(6)は、前記コーナ部(2)を2等分するように定められる仮想平面(A)から離間して配置され、
前記凹面部(7)は、前記仮想平面(A)と交差するように配置され、
前記端面(3a)側からみて、前記ブレーカ壁面(5)の上方の境界線上における前記凸面部(6)及び前記凹面部(7)の輪郭形状は、それぞれ円弧状であり、
前記端面(3a)側からみて、前記ブレーカ壁面(5)の下方の境界線上における前記凸面部(6)及び前記凹面部(7)の輪郭形状は、それぞれ円弧状であり、
前記端面(3a)側からみて、前記ブレーカ壁面(5)の上方の境界線と下方の境界線とを接続する傾斜面は、前記切れ刃部材(3)の周囲面に形成される逃げ面(10)に接続し、
前記端面(3a)側からみて、前記仮想平面(A)と平行な方向の長さにおいて、前記コーナ部(2)の中央から、前記ブレーカ壁面(5)の前記コーナ部(2)から離れた方の縁部における前記凸面部(6)の輪郭形状までの長さをブレーカ幅Bとし、
このブレーカ幅Bに対応する該輪郭形状上の点を凸点Dとし、
前記端面(3a)側からみて、前記仮想平面(A)から該凸点Dまでの距離をずれ量Cとするとき、
該ずれ量Cは、前記ブレーカ幅Bに対して50%以上、かつ150%以下の範囲とされる、
切削工具。 - 2つの前記凸面部(6)を有し、
2つの該凸面部は前記凹面部(7)を挟むように配置される請求項1に記載の切削工具。 - 前記ブレーカ壁面(5)は、前記仮想平面(A)に対して面対称な形状に形成される請求項1又は2に記載の切削工具。
- 前記チップブレーカ(4)のすくい面(9)は、前記切れ刃(8)から離間するにつれ、該切削工具の内方に陥没するように、正のすくい角が与えられる請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記凸面部(6)は、前記ブレーカ壁面(5)の少なくとも上部に形成される請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記凹面部(7)は、前記ブレーカ壁面(5)の少なくとも上部に形成される請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 該切削工具は、切削インサート(1)を備え、
前記切れ刃部材(3)は、少なくとも1つの該切削インサート(1)に固着される請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の切削工具。
