<接触角、表面エネルギー、及びその極性成分と分散性成分>
接触角の測定物質として、水とジヨードメタンを用いた。液滴の大きさは、いずれの場合も2μL乃至4μLである。
ピグメントの体積濃度(EN ISO 4618−1)は塗膜中のピグメント/フィラーとバインダとの体積比を意味する。
DIN 53015
この測定は、標準的なATR補助用具を備えているパーキン−エルマースペクトル100FTIR分光器を用いて行った。94−970cm-1における対称Si−O−C伸縮振動の不存在は、アルコキシ側鎖の不存在を示している。
本発明においては、ピグメントとフィラーはそれらの平均粒子径を基礎として特徴付けられている。このことは粒子径分布を測定することによって明らかとなる。ここで、「dx」は粒子径が「d」よりも小さい粒子の%比率(x)を意味する。これは、「d20」との値は粒子全体の20質量%がその粒子径よりも小さいことを意味する。従って、「d50」は体積平均の中央値、即ち、全体量の50体積%がその粒子径よりも小さいことを意味する。本発明では、粒子径は、体積平均の中央値である「d50」により規定される。体積平均の中央値である「d50」を測定するために、英国のマルバーン・インスツルメント社(Malvern Instruments Limited)から供給されているマスターサイザー(Mastersizer)3000レーザー分散粒子径測定機を用いた。この測定方法と測定装置は当業者により知られており、フィラーやピグメントそして他の粒状物質の粒子径を測定するために一般的に使用されている。
嵩密度は、ISO697に従って測定した。

上記式において、Ffは動的摩擦力(単位:ニュートン)、wはスライドの重量(単位:キログラム)、そしてgは、重力定数の9.81m2/秒である。
<使用された物質>
バインダ:セラニーズ社からモウイリス(Mowilith) LDM 7724として入手したアクリル酸エステルとメタクリル酸エステルとから形成された共重合体の水性分散液(固形成分量:46質量%、ブルックフィールド粘度(DIN EN ISO 2555、スピンドル4番、20rpm、23℃での測定値):約7000mPa・sを用いた。
炭酸カルシウム:平均粒子径 − 2.5μm (PF2の試料)
シート状シリケート:平均粒子径 − 25μm (PF3の試料)
クリスタバライト:平均粒子径 − 14μm (PF3の試料)
ワックス:融点範囲が91℃から99℃で、密度が1.00g/cm3そして25−50mPa・秒(DIN53019 1.921s−1)のポリエチレンワックス。固形分含量が35質量%の分散物である。
シリコーンオイル:アルコキシ基を含まず、粘度が90mm2/秒、そして分子量が6100g/モルであるジメチルポリシロキサン
R1:EP0546421に記載の組成II(疎水性の建築物外壁用塗料であって、顔料体積濃度が約80%のPVCを含むもの)
R2:市販の疎水性分散シリケート塗料で約82%のPVCを含むもの)
このフィルムに35cm離れた位置から、約85g/m2の蒸留水を吹き付けた。30分間かけて再乾燥の様子を観察し、5分毎に質量を記録した。この試験は、標準的な23℃/50%RHの環境条件で実施した。
表面の上および内に残留している水の時系列での変化を、図3に(質量/時)の変化として、図4に(質量%/時)の変化として示す。
Claims (14)
- 下記の成分を含む組成物:
水及び/又は有機溶媒;
ワックス(W);
シリコーンオイル(S);
バインダ(B);
全体量として8.0から55質量%の平均粒子径が0.1から1.0μmの範囲の一種もしくはそれ以上のピグメント(顔料)及び/又はフィラー(PF1);
全体量として5.0から40質量%の平均粒子径が1.0μmを越え、10μm迄の範囲の一種もしくはそれ以上のピグメント(顔料)及び/又はフィラー(PF2);
全体量として3.0から30質量%の平均粒子径が10μmを越え、40μm迄の範囲の一種もしくはそれ以上のピグメント(顔料)及び/又はフィラー(PF3);
但し、いずれの場合でも組成物の固形分量に対する相対値であって、またPF1、PF2、PF3は互いに異なるものであり、そして、EN ISO 4618−1に従うピグメント体積濃度は20%から65%の範囲にあって、また、組成物の固形分量に対する相対値として、バインダ(B)の量は10質量%から60質量%の範囲にあって、ワックス(W)の量は0.10質量%から10質量%の範囲にある。 - さらに構造体形成用充填材を含む請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 構造体形成用充填材の平均粒子径が40μmを越える請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 構造体形成用充填材の含有量が、組成物の固形分量に対する相対値として、0.10質量%から3.0質量%の範囲にある請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 下記の関係式(I)を満たす請求項1乃至4の内のいずれかの項に記載の組成物:
1.5×PF1の平均粒子径<PF2の平均粒子径
<50×PF1の平均粒子径 −(I)。 - 下記の関係式(II)を満たす請求項1乃至5の内のいずれかの項に記載の組成物:
1.5×PF2の平均粒子径<PF3の平均粒子径
<40×PF2の平均粒子径 −(II)。 - 平均粒子径が0.10から1.0μmのピグメント及び/又はフィラーの相対量が、平均粒子径が1.0を越え、10μm迄の範囲のピグメント及び/又はフィラーの相対量よりも多く、かつ平均粒子径が1.0を越え、10μm迄の範囲のピグメント及び/又はフィラーの相対量が、平均粒子径が10を越え、40μm迄の範囲のピグメント及び/又はフィラーの相対量よりも多い請求項1乃至6の内のいずれかの項に記載の組成物、ただし、いずれの場合も組成物に対する相対量である。
- ワックスの水の1分間の平衡化後の静的な初期接触角が、バインダの水の1分間の平衡化後の静的な初期接触角よりも大きい請求項1乃至7の内のいずれかの項に記載の組成物。
- ワックスの水の1分間の平衡化後の静的な初期接触角が、バインダの水の1分間の平衡化後の静的な初期接触角よりも、少なくとも5°大きい請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 上記組成物が成形用もしくは塗布用材料である請求項1乃至9の内のいずれかの項に記載の組成物。
- 上記組成物が塗料もしくはレンダーである請求項10に記載の組成物。
- 下記の組成を含む基体表面に形成された被覆物:
ワックス(W);
シリコーンオイル(S);
バインダ(B);
全体量として8.0から55質量%の平均粒子径が0.1から1.0μmの一種もしくはそれ以上のピグメント(顔料)及び/又はフィラー(PF1);
