Description
The present invention relates to a water-containing gel sheet.
Heretofore, a water-containing gel sheet including a water-containing polymer gel layer has been developed, and when applied to the skin, it has an effect of giving a local cold sensation due to the heat of vaporization of water. Further, in order to further enhance the effect of giving a cooling sensation, such a water-containing polymer gel layer is made to contain a cooling agent. As such a cooling agent, menthol which can exhibit a high cooling effect is widely used, and it is known that menthyl lactate and the like can also be used.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a sheet for skin attachment in which a nanofiber layer is laminated on a water-containing polymer gel layer, and such a water-containing polymer gel layer is a cold sheet such as l-menthol or menthyl lactate. It is stated that the sensitisers can be contained in amounts of 0.0001 to 10% by weight. When l-menthol is used as a cooling agent, a high cooling sensation can be secured, but depending on its content, there is a possibility that the irritation and the smell may be enhanced. On the other hand, menthyl lactate is a less irritating and slightly fragrant cooling agent, but has a lower cooling sensation effect than menthol, so the content thereof needs to be increased in order to enjoy a sufficient cooling sensation.
However, because menthyl lactate is easily adsorbed by the packaging material in which the sheet is enclosed during manufacture or storage of the water-containing gel sheet, the cold sensation effect diminishes when the water-containing gel sheet is taken out of the packaging material and used. There is a risk of In addition, even menthyl lactate may cause irritation as its content becomes excessive.
Under these circumstances, in the prior art of Patent Document 1 and the like, sufficient study for effectively and efficiently using menthyl lactate as a cooling agent has not been made, and there is still room for improvement.

[Examples 1 to 21, Comparative Examples 1 to 6]
According to the formulation shown in Tables 1 and 2, a water-containing polymer gel layer having a thickness of 0.8 mm was produced by the following method.
Specifically, first, glycerin, propylene glycol prepared by heating and dissolving methyl parahydroxybenzoate, polyvinyl alcohol, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose (not used only in Example 21), aluminum hydroxide ("dried aluminum hydroxide gel ", Kyowa Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.) was charged into a kneader, and then a succinic acid aqueous solution and polyethylene glycol 400 (not used only in Comparative Example 3) were added to prepare an uncrosslinked gel stock solution. Next, the obtained uncrosslinked gel stock solution was sandwiched in a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, and the thickness of the gel stock solution was adjusted to 0.8 mm with a Baker-type applicator and spread to form a sheet. A moisture-permeable non-woven fabric (PET + pulp = 80 + 20% by mass) with a thickness of 0.2 mm and a basis weight of 20 g / m 2 is pressed against one side of a sheet and laminated, and the obtained sheet is sealed in an aluminum pillow and sealed. It was aged at 50 ° C. for 2 days, and the crosslinking reaction in the gel stock solution was allowed to proceed to form a water-containing gel sheet. The prepared gel stock solution had a pH of 4.5 to 6.5. The obtained water-containing gel sheet was cut into a rectangle (area 50 cm 2 ) and completed.
Using the obtained water-containing gel sheet, the residual rate (%) of menthyl lactate was calculated according to the following method, and the feeling of irritation and the feeling of coolness were evaluated.

Remaining rate of lactic acid menthyl
Extraction of menthyl lactate was performed by the following method for the purpose of quantifying menthyl lactate contained in the water-containing gel sheet.
First, the gelled water-containing gel sheet was placed in a glass bottle, then 100 mL of ethanol was added, and then sealed up, sonicated for 30 minutes, and shaken (60 ° C.) for 60 minutes. Next, this sample solution is subjected to gas chromatography (Agilent 7890A (Agilent Technology Inc.), column: J & W Ultra-1 25 m × 0.2 mmid × 0.11 μm df, column temperature: 100 ° C. (0 min) → (5 ° C.) → 200 ° C. → (20 ° C.) → 240 ° C. (5 min), inlet temperature: 240 ° C., injection amount: 1 μL, detector temperature: 260 ° C., detector: FID) The residual ratio was calculated based on the following equation from the ratio of the compounding amount to the amount of menthyl lactate in the water-containing gel sheet quantified by the gas chromatography.
Residual rate (%) = amount of menthyl lactate contained in the water-containing gel sheet (g) / blending amount (g) × 100
