Description
本出願は、2011年7月18日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/508,725号および2011年10月17日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/547,812号のそれぞれへの優先権および利益を主張するものであり、双方ともに、本明細書本明細書に完全に組み込まれる。
微多孔性は、1ミクロン未満の有効径の複数の孔を有する製品を指す。疎水性ポリオレフィンは、ポリエチレンの表面エネルギーと同等であるか、またはポリエチレンの表面エネルギーを下回る表面エネルギーを有するポリオレフィンを指す。
、医療機器
、分離装置、半導体製造、電池セルセパレータ、限外濾過装置等で使用されてもよい。
a.ポリマー表面は、以下のポリマー分類からの任意の合成または天然ポリマーまたはコポリマーであってもよい:オレフィン、スチレン、シリコーン、ウレタン、アクリレート、エステル、ビニル、セルロース、アミド、アラミド、エーテル、および同等物。それらはまた、フェノールホルムアルデヒド樹脂またはブタジエン、イソプレン、およびネオプレン等のゴム系材料といった架橋ネットワーク材料であってもよい。加えて、PTFE、PVDF、PVDC、およびPVC等のポリマーを含有する他のハロゲンの修飾が、達成され得る。
b.成分Aは、典型的には、疎水性または疎油性処理用途において見られる材料である。織物加工またはキチン質に基づく材料として大量に使用されるフッ素化アクリルコポリマー系等の材料は、油分に対する好適な抵抗を提供し得る。加えて、成分Aは、抵抗強化のためのナノスケール粗度を生成する追加のナノ粒子を有する複合体材料であってもよい。
c.成分Bは、原位置でカルベン種および/またはニトレン種を生成するように調整されたペンダント官能基を有する多機能材料(f>2.0)である。
2.これらの付着量は、有機溶液または水溶液からもたらされてもよく、加熱処理または紫外線への曝露によって発生する。
a.修飾は、所期の用途に必要とされる表面特性をもたらすのに十分な量で、表面に付加され得る。典型的な適用量は、約0.05g/m2〜1.0g/m2以上の範囲であってもよく、いくつかの要因の中でも特に、基材表面領域、溶液粘度、硬化速度に依存する。
b.成分AとBとの割合は、最高の特性を生成するように可変であってもよい。典型的なA/Bの付着量割合は、約0.5〜200.0以上の範囲であってもよく、所望の表面特性およびAとBの反応性に依存する。
Claims (11)
- 化学修飾基材であって、
表面を有する微多孔性ポリオレフィン基材と、
前記基材の前記表面上に被覆された化学修飾官能化ポリマー(A−B)であって、官能化ポリマーまたは分子(成分A)および架橋結合修飾因子(成分B)からなる化学修飾官能化ポリマー(A−B)と、を含み
前記化学修飾官能化ポリマー(A−B)は、前記ポリオレフィン基材に成分Bおよび前記ポリオレフィン表面間のニトレン挿入反応から形成される共有結合を介して前記ポリオレフィン基材に繋ぎ止められ、
前記修飾基材が少なくとも48ダイン/cmの表面エネルギーを有する化学修飾基材。 - 前記化学修飾官能化ポリマー(A−B)は、基材表面上に0.05g/m2〜1.0g/m2の量、コーティングされている請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 前記成分Bに対する前記成分Aの質量比が0.5:1〜200.0:1の範囲である請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 更に、前記修飾官能性ポリマーを覆うコーティングを有する請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 前記基材は、フィルム、複合体、層、表面、膜、多孔性膜、微細孔膜、電池セパレータからなる群から選ばれる構造を有する請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 前記成分Aは官能性を有し、前記官能性は、前記基材の親水性の改変、前記基材の疎水性の改変、前記基材の親水性の改変、前記基材の親油性の改変、前記基材の疎油性の改変、前記基材の表面エネルギーの改変、前記基材の抗ファウリング牲の促進、前記基材の密着性の促進からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つである請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 前記成分Aは生物化学的に誘導されたポリマーである請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 前記成分Aはエチレン酸化物を含む請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 前記成分Aはフッ化ポリマー、オリゴマー又はコポリマーを含む請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 前記微多孔性ポリオレフィン基材は、複層膜、単層膜、ポリエチレン膜、ポリプロピレン膜、又はこれらの組合せを含む請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材。
- 請求項1に記載の化学修飾基材を有する電池セパレータ。
