Claims (15)
- 建物用の空調システムのエネルギー効率を高めるための方法であって、
前記空調システムは、前記建物の屋上に取り付けられた複数の既存の空調ユニットを含み、当該方法は、
(a)前記屋上から前記の複数の空調ユニットのうちの全てではないがいくつかを除去するステップと、
(b)各除去された空調ユニットの場所において前記屋上に液体デシカント空調ユニットを設置するステップであって、前記液体デシカント空調ユニットは、温暖気候動作モードと寒冷気候動作モードとにおける動作間で切り替え可能であり、各液体デシカント空調ユニットは、液体デシカントが前記温暖気候動作モードにおいて換気空気流を除湿し且つ前記寒冷気候動作モードにおいて前記換気空気流を加湿するよう、前記液体デシカントに対して前記建物外から前記建物に入る前記換気空気流を露出させるように構成された空調器と、前記空調器に接続され、前記液体デシカントが前記温暖気候動作モードにおいて空気流を加湿し且つ前記寒冷気候動作モードにおいて前記空気流を除湿するよう、前記液体デシカントに対して前記空気流を露出させるように構成される、再生器とを含む、ステップと、
(c)1つ以上の空調ユニットにおいて前記建物用の換気空気流の任意の取り込みを低減又はなくすよう、前記屋上に残っている1つ以上の空調ユニットを再構成することによって、前記屋上に残っている前記1つ以上の空調ユニットからの換気空気流処理負荷を各液体デシカント空調ユニットに部分的に又は完全に伝達するステップとを含む、
方法。 - 前記空調器が略垂直方向に配置された複数の構造を含み、各構造は、前記液体デシカントが流れることができる少なくとも1つの表面を有し、前記換気空気流は前記構造間を流れ、前記再生器は略垂直方向に配置された複数の構造を含み、各構造は、前記液体デシカントが流れることができる少なくとも1つの表面を有し、還気流が前記構造間を流れる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記再生器及び前記空調器における前記複数の構造の各々は、熱伝達流体が前記熱伝達流体と前記液体デシカント又は空気流との間の熱の伝達のために流れることができる内部通路を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記再生器及び前記空調器における前記複数の構造の各々は、前記液体デシカントと空気流との間において各構造の外表面に近接して配置された材料のシートを含み、前記材料のシートは、前記液体デシカントと空気流との間の水蒸気の搬送を可能とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記材料のシートは膜を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記再生器及び前記空調器における前記複数の構造は、略垂直方向に配置され且つ隣接するプレートアセンブリ間を前記空気流が流れるのを可能とするように離間された複数のプレートアセンブリを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記建物に入る前記換気空気流は、前記空調器を介して略垂直方向に流れ、前記再生器内を流れる前記空気流は、略垂直方向に流れる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記建物に入る前記換気空気流は、前記空調器を介して略水平方向に流れ、前記再生器内を流れる前記空気流は、略水平方向に流れる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 各液体デシカント空調ユニットは、前記温暖気候動作モードにおいて前記空調器から前記再生器へと熱を圧送し且つ前記寒冷気候動作モードにおいて前記再生器から前記空調器へと熱を圧送するためのヒートポンプを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ヒートポンプは、前記温暖気候動作モードにおいて前記空調器内を流れる前記液体デシカントから前記再生器内を流れる前記液体デシカントへと熱を圧送し、前記ヒートポンプは、前記寒冷気候動作モードにおいて前記再生器内を流れる前記液体デシカントから前記空調器内を流れる前記液体デシカントへと熱を圧送する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ヒートポンプは、前記温暖気候動作モードにおいて前記空調器内を流れる熱伝達流体から前記再生器内を流れる熱伝達流体へと熱を圧送し、前記ヒートポンプは、前記寒冷気候動作モードにおいて前記再生器内を流れる前記熱伝達流体から前記空調器内を流れる前記熱伝達流体へと熱を圧送する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 各液体デシカント空調ユニットは、前記再生器及び前記空調器のうちの一方から流れる前記液体デシカントから、前記再生器及び前記空調器のうちの他方から流れる前記液体デシカントへと熱を伝達するために、前記空調器と前記再生器との間に接続された熱交換器を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記の除去された空調ユニットの3つのうちの1つから5つのうちの1つの全ては、液体デシカント空調ユニットによって置き換えられる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記伝達するステップは、空調ユニットの蒸発器のコイルを介して前記建物からの還気流を再循環させるステップと、前記蒸発器の動作温度を上昇させるステップとを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記伝達するステップは、換気空気流の取り込みを低減又はなくすように内部のダンパを閉じるステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
