Claims (8)
- 基板と、
前記基板上に設けられる光変調器と、
前記基板と前記光変調器とを電気的に接続する可撓性のフレキシブル基板とを有する光モジュールにおいて、
前記フレキシブル基板は、前記基板と対向する面側に、
前記基板側の端部から中央へ延伸し、少なくとも一部が前記基板に固着される信号用の第1のパッドと、
前記第1のパッドの両側に設けられ、前記第1のパッドに隣接する位置において、前記基板側の端部から中央へ前記第1のパッドと平行に延伸し、少なくとも一部が前記基板に固着される接地用の第2のパッドと、
前記第1のパッドよりも幅が狭く、且つ、前記第1のパッドと前記光変調器とを電気的に接続する信号線と、
前記信号線と前記第1のパッドとの間にあって前記信号線と前記第1のパッドとを接続し、前記第1のパッドから前記信号線に近づくにつれて幅が狭くなるテーパ部と、
前記信号線と前記テーパ部とを覆うカバーレイとを有し、
前記カバーレイは、
前記信号線を覆い、且つ、前記フレキシブル基板の幅方向において、前記第1のパッドの両側に設けられた前記第2のパッドの外側の端の位置まで至る幅を有する幅広部と、
前記第2のパッドの間の領域において、前記幅広部から前記フレキシブル基板の前記基板側の端部へ向かって突出し、且つ、前記テーパ部の前部又は一部を覆う突出部とを有し、
前記第1のパッドの前記突出部に覆われない部分が、前記基板に設けられる信号用電極にはんだ付けされ、
前記第2のパッドが、前記基板に設けられる接地用電極にはんだ付けされる
ことを特徴とする光モジュール。 - 前記フレキシブル基板は、
前記幅広部の裏面に接地電圧の接地パターンをさらに有し、
前記接地パターンは、
前記幅広部よりも前記フレキシブル基板の前記基板側の端部に近い位置まで伸展する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の光モジュール。 - 前記第2のパッドは、
前記第1のパッドよりも広い面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の光モジュール。 - 前記第2のパッドは、
前記突出部に隣接する位置に前記フレキシブル基板を貫通するスルーホールを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の光モジュール。 - 前記第2のパッドは、
前記幅広部によって覆われる位置まで延長する延長部を有し、
前記延長部は、
前記フレキシブル基板を貫通するスルーホールを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の光モジュール。 - 前記延長部は、
前記第1のパッドに近接する方向へ延長することを特徴とする請求項5記載の光モジュール。 - 前記第2のパッドとスルーホールを介して接続され、前記フレキシブル基板の前記基板側の端部から中央へ向かうにつれて幅広となる形状を有する第3のパッドをさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の光モジュール。
- 請求項1記載の光モジュールを有することを特徴とする光送受信装置。
