Description
以下、エンジンの排気浄化装置の第1実施形態を、図1〜図3を参照して詳細に説明する。なお、本実施形態の排気浄化装置は、車載用のディーゼルエンジンに適用されている。
本実施形態の排気浄化装置では、PMフィルター23のPM堆積量が既定値に達すると、フィルター再生処理が実施される。フィルター再生処理が開始されると、燃料添加弁19により排気に未燃燃料が供給され、その未燃燃料中の酸化炭素(CO)及び炭化水素(HC)が酸化触媒装置22で酸化されることで、PMフィルター23に流入する排気の温度が上昇される。そして、それにより、PMフィルター23に堆積したPMが燃焼される。
(1)本実施形態では、フィルター再生処理の実施中におけるSCR床温が一定値を超えている時間の積算値が脱離完了判定値以下である場合、同フィルター再生処理が継続される。そのため、フィルター再生処理の完了時に、第1SCR装置33及び第2SCR装置34のアンモニア吸着量が十分に低減された状態となることが、より確実に保証されるようになる。したがって、第1SCR装置33及び第2SCR装置34のアンモニア吸着状況に応じた適切な制御を行うことができる。
次に、エンジンの排気浄化装置の第2実施形態を、図4を併せ参照して詳細に説明する。なお本実施形態にあって、上記実施形態と共通する構成については、同一の符号を付してその詳細な説明は省略する。
本実施形態のエンジンの排気浄化装置においても、フィルター再生処理の実施中の排気温度が十分に高まらない状態となったときには、フィルター再生処理の実施期間が延長されて、PMフィルター23の再生完了後もその実施が継続される。ただし、PMフィルター23の再生が完了すると、PMフィルター23に堆積したPMが燃焼され尽してしまうため、その燃焼による排気温度の上昇が期待できなくなる。そのため、十分なアンモニア脱離速度が得られるまで、SCR床温が十分に高められなくなることがある。
(3)本実施形態では、PMフィルター23の再生が完了された以降のフィルター再生処理の継続時には、排気温度を高めるために排気に供給される未燃燃料の量をその再生の完了前よりも多くしている。そのため、PMフィルター23の再生が完了して同PMフィルター23に堆積したPMが燃焼され尽した後にも、SCR床温を十分に高めてアンモニアの脱離を進めることができる。
・上記実施形態では、フィルター再生処理の開始時における推定アンモニア吸着量に応じて脱離完了判定値を演算していたが、その値を定数としても良い。例えば推定アンモニア吸着量が適量に維持されるように、尿素水添加量を制御している場合には、フィルター再生処理の開始時におけるアンモニア吸着量は通常、ほぼ一定の値となっているため、脱離完了判定値を定数としても、アンモニアが確実に脱離されるように、フィルター再生処理の期間を設定することが可能である。
Claims (1)
- エンジンの排気通路に設けられて、排気中の微粒子物質を捕集するフィルターと、前記排気通路における前記フィルターの下流に設けられて、アンモニアを還元剤とした選択還元反応によって排気中の窒素酸化物を浄化する選択還元触媒装置と、前記選択還元触媒装置に前記アンモニアを供給する還元剤供給装置と、を備えるとともに、前記フィルターの前記微粒子物質の捕集能力を再生するためのフィルター再生処理を行うエンジンの排気浄化装置において、
前記フィルター再生処理の実施中における前記選択還元触媒装置の床温が一定値を超えている時間の積算値が既定値以下である場合、同フィルター再生処理が継続され、
前記既定値は、前記フィルター再生処理の開始時における選択還元触媒装置のアンモニア吸着量に応じて可変とされる、
ことを特徴とするエンジンの排気浄化装置。
