Description
本発明の水性構造化プレミックスは、全ての他の成分の重量%を考慮した後の、構造化プレミックスの残部を形成する水分を含む。水分は、好ましくは水性構造化プレミックスの45重量%〜97重量%、より好ましくは55重量%〜93重量%、更により好ましくは65重量%〜87重量%の濃度で存在する。
本発明の水性構造化プレミックスは液体組成物を構造化させるのに有用である。これゆえ、液体組成物は、本発明の水性構造化プレミックスを含んでもよい。本発明の液体組成物は、水性構造化プレミックスを介して導入された、非高分子、結晶質、及びヒドロキシル含有構造剤を典型的に0.01重量%〜2重量%、好ましくは0.03重量%〜1重量%、更に好ましくは0.05重量%〜0.5重量%含む。
本発明の水性構造化プレミックスを作製するには、先行する請求項による、構造化プレミックスを作製する方法を用いてもよく、次の工程:非高分子、結晶質、及びヒドロキシル含有構造剤を含むエマルジョンを、水中で80℃〜98℃の第1の温度で生成する工程と、25℃〜60℃の第2の温度までエマルジョンを冷却する工程と、エマルジョンを第2の温度に少なくとも2分間維持する工程と、62℃〜75℃の第3の温度までエマルジョンの温度を昇温する工程と、エマルジョンをその第3の温度に少なくとも2分間維持する工程と、を含む。
vfは、(供給者によって提供された)静的ミキサーの空隙割合であり、
Dパイプは、静的ミキサー要素を含むパイプの内径であり、
vパイプは、以下の式により算出された、内径Dパイプを有するパイプを通過する流体の平均速度であり:
A)pH測定:
pHは、取扱説明書に従って検量したジェル充填プローブ(例えばToledoプローブ、部品番号52 000 100)付きのSantarius PT−10P pHメータを用いて、25℃で、未希釈組成物に対して測定される。
間隔が300μmの標準的な40mmのスチール平行板を有する、TA Instruments製のAR−G2レオメータが、レオロジー測定に用いられる。特に記載の無い限り、全ての測定は、25℃で、定常状態の剪断速度で、取扱説明書に従って行われる。
水性構造化プレミックスは、原子間力顕微鏡法(AFM)を用いて解析される。試料は以下の手順を使用して調製される:片面研磨Siウェハー(<100>,381μm厚み、2nm自然酸化膜、IDB Technologies,UKより入手)を、まず約20×20mmのサイズに割るか、又は切断する。水性構造化プレミックスを綿棒(Johnson & Johnson,UK)を用いて、Siウェハーに多量に塗布する。糊をコーティングされたウェハーを蓋付のポリ(スチレン)製のペトリ皿(40mm直径,10mm高さ、Fisher Scientific,UK)に定置し、通常環境(18℃,40−50% RH)下の空気中に5分間放置する。次にペトリ皿をH2O(HPLC等級,Sigma−Aldrich,UK)で充填し、試料を浸漬状態で約1時間放置する。この後、SiウェハーをHPLC等級H2Oに浸漬させた状態のまま、綿棒を使用して、Siウェハー表面から離れて浮き上がってきた糊を取り除く。次に、Siウェハーをペトリ皿から取り出し、HPLC等級H2Oですすぐ。その後、Siウェハーを35℃のファン・オーブンで10分間乾燥させる。
静的乳化装置を含む連続的方法においては、エネルギー散逸速度は、乳化装置での圧力低下を測定し、この値に流量を乗算し、次に装置のアクティブ体積で除算することによって、求められる。バッチタンク又は高剪断ミキサーなどの外部電源を介して乳化が行われる場合、エネルギー散逸は、以下の式1を用いて求められる(Kowalski,A.J.,2009.,Power consumption of in−line rotor−stator devices.Chem.Eng.Proc.48,581.)。

式中、PTは、液体に対してローターを回転させるのに必要とされる電力であり、PFは、液体の流れからの追加の所要電力であり、PLは、例えば、軸受、振動、雑音等による電力損失である。
他に特に記載が無い限り、粘度は、角度2°のコーンプレート形状及び206μmギャップを有するAnton Paar MCR 302レオメータ(Anton Paar,Graz,Austria)を使用して測定する。剪断速度は、安定状態に達するまで、0.01s−1の一定の剪断速度に保たれ、その後粘度を測定する。次に、剪断速度は、各測定が行われる前に、各剪断速度で10秒間待ちながら、0.0224s−1、0.05s−1、0.11s−1、0.25s−1、0.55s−1、0.255s−1、2.8s−1、6.25s−1、14s−1、31.2s−1、70s−1で測定される。全ての測定は、20℃で実施する。
硬化ヒマシ油を溶解して、90+/−5℃の第1の液体を作製した。第2の液体は、水中の6.7重量%の直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸(HLAS)、及び3.34重量%モノエタノールアミンを含み、90+/−5℃で調製された。第1の液体は、液体を混合し、11の工程及び0.6mmの内径を含む分割再合流型静的ミキサー(Ehrfeld,Wendelsheim,Germany)に10Kg/hrの流量で通過させて、86℃のエマルジョンを生成する連続方法を介して、4:96の比の第2の液体へと乳化した。得られた平均エマルジョンサイズは、2.88μmであった。
水中の6.7重量%の直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸(HLAS)、及び3.34重量%モノエタノールアミンからなる液体が、90+/−5℃で調製された。バッチ方法で、粒子化された硬化ヒマシ油をかき混ぜながら、ゆっくりと液体に4:96の比で分散した。溶解すると、硬化ヒマシ油は液中で乳化する。それからエマルジョンを、40℃の温度に到達するまでゆっくりと1℃/分の速度で冷却した。それから水性構造化プレミックスを保存用タンクに移送し、室温になるまで冷却した。

3 PEG−PVAグラフトコポリマーは、ポリエチレンオキシド主鎖と複数のポリ酢酸ビニル側鎖とを有する、ポリ酢酸ビニルグラフト化ポリエチレンオキシドコポリマーである。ポリエチレンオキシド主鎖の分子量は、約6000で、ポリエチレンオキシドとポリ酢酸ビニルの重量比は、約40対60であり、50エチレンオキシド単位当たり1グラフト点を超えない。

Claims (6)
- 水、並びに、硬化ヒマシ油を糸状物質の形態で含む構造化プレミックスの製造方法であって、数にして少なくとも15%の前記糸状物質が10μmを超える長さを有し、前記方法が、
a)水中に硬化ヒマシ油を含むエマルジョンを、80℃〜98℃の第1の温度で作製する工程と、
b)前記エマルジョンを25℃〜60℃の第2の温度に冷却する工程と、
c)前記エマルジョンを前記第2の温度に少なくとも2分保持する工程と、
d)前記エマルジョンの温度を62℃〜75℃の第3の温度に昇温する工程と、
e)前記エマルジョンを前記第3の温度に少なくとも2分保持して、前記水性構造化プレミックスを形成する工程と、
を含む、方法。 - f)前記水性構造化プレミックスを10℃〜30℃の第4の温度に冷却する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(c)において、前記エマルジョンが、2〜30分の間、前記第2の温度に保持される、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において、前記エマルジョンが界面活性剤を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において、前記エマルジョンが、1×102W/Kg〜1×107W/Kgのエネルギー散逸率を有する高エネルギー分散で前記成分を混合することにより形成される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が連続である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
