Description
本明細書で使用するとき、用語「吸収性物品」は、主要機能が身体滲出物及び排出物を吸収及び貯留することである消費者用製品を指す。吸収性物品は、パンツ、テープ型おむつ、成人用失禁製品、及び/又は生理用ナプキン(例えば、婦人用衛生製品)を指してもよい。本明細書で使用するとき、用語「おむつ」及び「パンツ」は、乳児、幼児及び失禁者が胴体下部の周りに一般に着用する吸収性物品を指すために使用される。本明細書で使用するとき、用語「使い捨て」は、洗濯されること、又は吸収性物品として再生若しくは再使用されることが一般に意図されない吸収性物品を説明するために使用される(例えば、1回の使用後に廃棄されることが意図され、更に、リサイクルされるか、堆肥化されるか、又は環境に適合した方法で処分されるように構成されてもよい)。

図15を参照すると、リングローリングシミュレーション装置及び方法を使用して、SSMMS(エラストマー材料又はフィルムなし)の各々について、リガメント当たりN/cm当たりの最大力及び最大力歪み(%)を測定し、基本カード繊維材料を試験した。リングローリングシミュレーション装置及び方法は、横断方向の材料の機械的活性化をシミュレートし、米国特許第6,843,134号、同第7,024,939号、及び同第7,062,983号に詳述されている。図15のデータは横断方向で採取されている。試験したSSMMS不織布基材は、CaCO3添加剤がスパンボンド層にない従来のFibertex 13gsm SSMMS不織布基材、5%のCaCO3添加剤をスパンボンド層に有するFibertex 13gsm SSMMS不織布基材、10%のCaCO3添加剤をスパンボンド層に有するFibertex 13gsm SSMMS不織布基材、15%のCaCO3添加剤をスパンボンド層に有するFibertex 13gsm SSMMS不織布基材、及び従来の27gsmカード繊維材料である。メルトブロウン繊維は、いかなるCaCO3添加剤も有さなかった。結果を下の図表に示す。
図16を参照すると、リングローリングシミュレーション装置及び方法を使用して、SSMMS(エラストマー材料又はフィルムなし)の各々について、リガメント当たりN/cm当たりの最大力及び最大力時歪み(%)を測定し、基本カード繊維を試験した。リングローリングシミュレーション装置及び方法は、横断方向の材料の機械的活性化をシミュレートし、米国特許第6,843,134号、同第7,024,939号、及び同第7,062,983号に詳述されている。図16のデータは横断方向で採取されている。試験したSSMMS不織布基材は、CaCO3添加剤がスパンボンド層にない従来のFibertex 20gsm SSMMS不織布基材(図16のA)、11.5%のCaCO3添加剤をスパンボンド層に有するFibertex 20gsm SSMMS不織布基材(図16のB)、CaCO3添加剤をスパンボンド層に含まない従来のFibertex 14gsm SSMMS不織布基材(図16のC)、11.5%のCaCO3添加剤をスパンボンド層に有するFibertex 14gsm SSMMS不織布基材(図16のD)、及び従来の27gsmカード繊維材料(図16のE)である。
全ての試料を、約23℃±2℃及び約50%±2%の相対湿度で、試験前に約2時間にわたって、予備状態調節する。
コンピュータインターフェースを有する一定速度の引張試験機(好適な計器は、MTS Systems Corp.(Eden Prairie,MN)から入手可能な、Testworks4.0ソフトウェアを使用したMTS Insightである)を用いて、最大ピーク力及び9.81Nの力における1000グラム伸張を、測定される力がロードセルの限度の10%〜90%以内となるロードセルを使用して測定する。可動(上方)空気式ジョーには、ゴム平面グリップと幅25.4mmの線接触グリップとの組が装着されている。固定(下方)空気式ジョーには、試験片よりも広い25.4mmゴム面グリップが一対装着されている。ジョーに供給される空気圧は、試料が滑るのを防ぐのに十分でなければならない。全ての試験は、約23℃±2℃及び約50℃±2℃相対湿度で維持された調整室内で行なわれる。
不織布基材を燃焼したときの灰の重量を測定することによって、不織布基材中の無機材料の量を決定することができる。有機材料は燃え尽き、無機材料のみが後に残る。

前記多成分繊維の各々は、
熱可塑性ポリマーと当該不織布基材の1重量%〜15重量%の割合で当該不織布基材中に存在する無機充填剤とを含む組成物から形成されたコアと、
熱可塑性ポリマーを含むシースと、
を含み、
前記シースの熱可塑性ポリマーは、ポリエチレンを含み、
前記コアの熱可塑性ポリマーは、ポリプロピレンを含み、

- 前記無機充填剤は、炭酸カルシウム粒子を含み、複数の前記炭酸カルシウム粒子のうちの少なくとも一部が、脂肪酸、脂肪酸の塩、脂肪酸エステル及びこれらの混合物の群から選択される有機材料によりコーティングされている、請求項7に記載の伸縮性積層体。
- 伸縮性積層体を得る方法であって、0.51mm〜7.62mmの係合深さを有する圧力アプリケータを通過させることにより、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の伸縮性積層体を機械的に活性化することを含む、方法。
