Description
好ましい実施形態において、本発明は、以下の項目を提供する。

前記有効量は、約15ミリグラム未満のアミノピリジンである、方法。

前記有効量は、約10〜約15ミリグラムのアミノピリジンである。

項目1の方法において、
前記有効量は、約10ミリグラムのアミノピリジンである。
(項目4)
項目1の方法において、
前記アミノピリジンは、4−アミノピリジンである。
(項目5)
項目4の方法において、
前記徐放性4−アミノピリジン組成物は、約1.0〜3.5のC max :C τ 比を示すものである。
(項目6)
項目1の方法において、
前記1日2回の投与は、約12時間毎になされるものである。
(項目7)
下肢筋緊張を改善する方法であって、
1日2回徐放性アミノピリジン組成物の有効量を、多発性硬化症を患った患者へ投与する工程を有し、
前記有効量は、約15ミリグラム以下のアミノピリジンである、方法。
(項目8)
項目7の方法において、
前記有効量は、約10〜約15ミリグラムのアミノピリジンである。
(項目9)
項目7の方法において、
前記有効量は、約10ミリグラムのアミノピリジンである。
(項目10)
項目7の方法において、
前記アミノピリジンは、4−アミノピリジンである。
(項目11)
項目10の方法において、
前記徐放性4−アミノピリジン組成物は、約1.0〜3.5のC max :C τ 比を示すものである。

下肢筋強度を改善する方法であって、
1日2回徐放性アミノピリジン組成物の有効量を、多発性硬化症を患った患者へ投与する工程を有し、
前記有効量は、約15ミリグラム以下のアミノピリジンである、方法。

項目12の方法において、
前記有効量は、約10〜約15ミリグラムのアミノピリジンである。
(項目14)
項目12の方法において、
前記有効量は、約10ミリグラムのアミノピリジンである。
(項目15)
項目12の方法において、
前記アミノピリジンは、4−アミノピリジンである。

項目15の方法において、
前記徐放性4−アミノピリジン組成物は、約1.0〜3.5のC max :C τ 比を示すものである。
(項目17)
治療に対する反応性に基づいて個人を選択する方法であって、
多数の個人を同定する工程と、
治療期間前に各個人にテストを実施する工程と、
治療期間に1若しくはそれ以上の前記個人に治療を実施する工程と、
治療期間に各個人に複数回テストを実施する工程と、
1若しくはそれ以上の個人を選択する工程とを有し、
前記選択された個人は、前記治療期間前に実施されたテストと比較して、前記治療期間に実施されたテストの大部分の間において、改善された能力を示すものである、方法。
(項目18)
項目17の方法であって、この方法はさらに、
治療期間後に各個人にテストを実施する工程を有し、
前記選択された個人はさらに、前記治療期間後に実施されたテストと比較して、前記治療期間に実施されたテストの大部分の間において、改善された能力を示すものである。

項目17の方法において、
前記治療は、治療薬を有するものである。
(項目20)
治療に対する反応性に基づいて個人を選択する工程であって、
多数の個人を同定する工程と、
治療期間前に各個人にテストを実施する工程と、
治療期間に1若しくはそれ以上の前記個人に治療を実施する工程と、
治療期間に各個人に複数回テストを実施する工程と、
治療期間後に各個人へテストを実施する工程と、
1若しくはそれ以上の個人を選択する工程とを有し、
前記選択された個人は、前記治療期間前に実施されたテスト及び治前記療期間後に実施されたテストのより良い能力と比較して、治療期間に実施されたテストの大部分の間、改善された能力を示すものである、方法。
Claims (20)
- 有効量の4−アミノピリジンを含む徐放性アミノピリジン組成物であって、該有効量は、10ミリグラムまたはそれ未満の該4−アミノピリジンであり、該組成物は、多発性硬化症患者の下肢筋強度を改善するために少なくとも2週間の期間にわたって1日2回投与するためのものである、組成物。
- 前記有効量が10ミリグラムの4−アミノピリジンである、請求項1に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 前記有効量が7.5ミリグラムの4−アミノピリジンである、請求項1に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 錠剤である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 前記組成物が15ng/ml〜35ng/mlのC avSS を示す、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 前記組成物が、前記患者への該組成物の投与後の1〜6時間の範囲の平均T max を提供する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 前記組成物が、前記患者への該組成物の投与後の2〜5.2時間の範囲の平均T max を提供する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 前記4−アミノピリジンが、放出速度制御ポリマー中に分散している、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 前記徐放性組成物が、前記4−アミノピリジンの放出速度を制御するために適切なマトリックスであって、該4−アミノピリジンが該マトリックス中に均一に分散している、マトリックスを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 前記1日2回投与が、12時間毎の投与である、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の徐放性アミノピリジン組成物。
- 多発性硬化症患者の下肢筋強度を改善するために少なくとも2週間の期間にわたって1日2回投与するための医薬を調製するための、有効量の4−アミノピリジンを含む徐放性アミノピリジン組成物の使用であって、該有効量は、10ミリグラムまたはそれ未満の該4−アミノピリジンである、使用。
- 前記有効量が10ミリグラムの4−アミノピリジンである、請求項11に記載の使用。
- 前記有効量が7.5ミリグラムの4−アミノピリジンである、請求項11に記載の使用。
- 前記徐放性組成物が錠剤である、請求項11〜13のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記組成物が15ng/ml〜35ng/mlのC avSS を示す、請求項11〜14のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記組成物が、前記患者への該組成物の投与後の1〜6時間の範囲の平均T max を提供する、請求項11〜15のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記組成物が、前記患者への該組成物の投与後の2〜5.2時間の範囲の平均T max を提供する、請求項11〜15のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記徐放性アミノピリジン組成物中の前記4−アミノピリジンが、放出速度制御ポリマー中に分散している、請求項11〜17のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記徐放性組成物が、前記4−アミノピリジンの放出速度を制御するために適切なマトリックスであって、該4−アミノピリジンが該マトリックス中に均一に分散している、マトリックスを含む、請求項11〜17のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記1日2回投与が、12時間毎の投与である、請求項11〜19のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
