a)容器内で一年生植物繊維バイオマスを含む繊維供給原料を有機溶媒/水溶媒溶液とパルプ化又は前処理をして液体を形成する工程であって、
i.前記溶液が質量で約30%以上の有機溶媒を含み;及び
ii.前記液体のpHが約1〜約5.5;
である工程、
b)前記液体を約100℃以上に加熱する工程、
c)高めた温度及び圧力を1分以上維持する工程、
d)セルロースパルプをパルプ液から分離する工程、
e)天然リグニン誘導体を回収する工程、
を含む。
広葉樹供給原料片は(1)カナダのブリティッシュコロンビア州で育ったヤマナラシ(P.トレムロイデ);(2)チリで育ったアカシア(ミモザアカシア);及び(3)チリで育ったユーカリ(E.ニテン(E. nitens))から準備した。それぞれの供給原料の3つの試料を、酸触媒作用を受けたエタノールオルガノソルブパルプ化処理を用いて個別にパルプ化し、それぞれの試料に異なるパルプ化条件を用いた(表1、2及び3)。

2.90°パルス
3.全原子核の完全な緩和はクロミニウム(III)アセチルアセトネートの添加により達成され、1.2秒の取得時間及び1.7秒の緩和遅延が用いられる。
スペクトルは、フーリエ変換され、フェーズされ(phase)、TMSシグナルを基準(0ppm)として使用して校正され、ベースラインは多項式関数を用いて補正された。ベースラインの補正は、ゼロに調節される以下の間隔基準(interval references)を用いてなされた:(220−215ppm)−(185−182ppm)−(97−92ppm)−(5−(−20)ppm)。0とされる他の領域はない。定量13CNMRスペクトルにおけるシグナルは、2D HSQC NMR及び周知のデータベースの基準で割り当てられた。ベースライン補正の後、スペクトルは内部標準(IS)、トリオキサンの領域を基準として用いてまとめられた。それぞれのスペクトルは、少なくとも2回処理され(記載されたように)、定量化の良好な再現性を保証した。特定部分の量の計算は以下のようになされた:
アセチル化リグニン:X (mmol/g lignin) = IX*mIS/(30mLig*IIS - 42*IOHtotal * mIS)*1000
Xは特定部分の量であり、IX、 IIS及び IOHtotalは特定部分、内部標準及び総OH基の共鳴値であり、これに対してmLig及びmISはリグニン及び内部標準の質量である。エトキシ基の数値はアセチル化及び非修飾(非アセチル化)の両方のスペクトルから計算される。データは表1〜3に示されている。炭素(C)含有量の定量化は、Perkin-Elmer 2400シリーズ元素分析器中、975℃での純酸素環境における燃焼によって測定された。データは表1〜3に示されている。
針葉樹供給源片を:(1)ブリティッシュコロンビア州で育ったハイブリッドトウヒ材:(2)チリで育ったラジアータマツ:(3)東南アメリカで育ったテーダマツから準備した。それぞれの供給原料からの3試料を、酸触媒作用を受けたエタノールパルプ化処理を用いて個別にパルプ化し、それぞれの試料に異なるパルプ化条件を用いた(表4、5及び6)。
リグニン誘導体試料のエトキシ含有量及び炭素含有量は、実施例1に記載されたのと同様に測定し、表4〜6に示されている。
2つの一年生植物繊維供給原料材料を:(1)ヨーロッパで生産されたトウモロコシ穂軸、(2)ブラジルで育ち加工されたサトウキビから生産されたバガス、及び(3)カナダのアルバータ州で生産された小麦わらから準備した。それぞれの供給原料の3試料を、酸触媒作用を受けたエタノールパルプ化処理を用いて個別にパルプ化し、それぞれの試料に異なるパルプ化条件を用いた(表7、8及び9)。
リグニン誘導体試料のエトキシ含有量及び炭素含有量は、実施例1に記載されたのと同様に測定し、表4〜6に示されている。
本発明の好ましい態様は、下記の通りである。
〔1〕64.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有するリグニン誘導体。
〔2〕66.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔3〕68.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔4〕69.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔5〕0.45mmol/g以上のアルコキシ含有量を有する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔6〕約0.6mmol/g以上のアルコキシ含有量を有する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔7〕0.45mmol/g以上のエトキシ含有量を有する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔8〕約0.6mmol/g以上のエトキシ含有量を有する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔9〕リグニンが広葉樹バイオマスに由来する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔10〕リグニンが針葉樹バイオマスに由来する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔11〕リグニンが一年生植物繊維バイオマスに由来する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。
〔12〕リグニンがポプラ、ユーカリ、アカシア、又はその組み合わせ/ハイブリッドを含むバイオマスに由来する、前記〔1〕に記載のリグニン誘導体。

Claims (11)
- リグノセルロースバイオマスのパルプ化中又はパルプ化後に回収されたリグニン誘導体であって、前記パルプ化からの回収直後に64.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有する、リグニン誘導体。
- 66.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有する、請求項1に記載のリグニン誘導体。
- 68.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有する、請求項1に記載のリグニン誘導体。
- 69.5質量%以上の炭素含有量を有する、請求項1に記載のリグニン誘導体。
- 0.45mmol/g以上のアルコキシ含有量を有する、請求項1に記載のリグニン誘導体。
- 67.5質量%〜75.5質量%の炭素含有量を有する広葉樹リグニン誘導体。
- 66.5質量%〜80.0質量%の炭素含有量を有する針葉樹リグニン誘導体。
- 64.5質量%〜75.5質量%の炭素含有量を有する一年生植物繊維リグニン誘導体。
- 請求項1に記載のリグニン誘導体を含む炭素繊維組成物。
- 炭素繊維の製造における請求項1に記載のリグニン誘導体の使用。
- 炭素繊維の製造方法であって、以下の工程、
a バイオマスを収集する工程、
b 請求項1に記載のリグニン誘導体を抽出する工程、
c 繊維を溶融紡糸する工程、
d 繊維を安定化する工程、及び
