Description
Claims (10)
- 電気刺激のための医療用具(2、3)であって、
前記用具は、遠位端(21)と近位端(22)とを有する植込み型延伸リードシステム(20)を備え、
前記リードシステムは、一つ以上の電極(6、7、24)に連結するための導電体構造(30)を有し、前記導電体構造は共巻きされた複数の導体を備え、
前記導電体構造は、前記リードシステムの長手軸(25)に沿って複数回巻回されており、
前記導電体構造は、前記長手軸に沿って、平行に延びる前記導体を有するホイル(33)として形成されており、
前記巻回の密度は、前記長手軸に沿って不均一に分布し、前記近位端より前記遠位端で高く、
巻回の隣り合う部分の間の間隔によって示される、巻回の長さは、近位端へ向かって大きく、かつ、遠位端へ向かって小さくなり、それにより、植込みとMRIに関連して使用する遠位端においてインピーダンスが高められる、医療用具。 - 前記導電体構造は、導体の略全長に沿って巻回されている、請求項1に記載の用具。
- 前記導電体構造は、非巻回部分(41)によって分離される一つ以上の離散部分(40)に巻回されている、請求項1に記載の用具。
- 前記巻回の回数は、100回より多く、前記リードシステムの長さに沿って分布している、請求項1に記載の用具。
- 前記巻回は、多数の集合(42〜49)に分類され、
前記集合密度は、前記近位端(22)より前記遠位端(21)で高くなるように、前記長手軸(25)に沿って変化する、請求項1に記載の用具。 - 前記導電体構造は、二つ以上の部分(400、401)に分かれて巻回されており、
少なくとも二つ、又は前記二つ以上の部分は、相互に逆方向の回転方向(403、404)を有する巻回を備える、請求項1に記載の用具。 - 前記巻回の密度は、近位端より遠位端で高くなるように、各巻回の隣り合う部分の間の間隔(31、32)に応じて前記長手軸に沿って連続的に変化する、請求項1に記載の用具。
- 前記近位端において前記導体に電気的に連結される電源(4、5)をさらに備え、
前記電源が、前記一つ以上の電極の選択された電極において電気パルスを生成するよう動作可能である、請求項1に記載の用具。 - 前記用具の応用は、神経刺激、機能的刺激、脊髄刺激、脳刺激、皮質刺激、筋刺激、胃腸管刺激、筋刺激、ペーシングおよび心臓除細動からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の用具。
- 脳深部刺激療法に適し、
前記用具は、脳の電気刺激に適した電気パルスを生成するように動作可能な電源を備える、請求項1に記載の用具。
