本発明に係る化学防護服用布片の接合方法においては、接合部が3層の積層体となり、従来の接合方法に比べて接合部と接合部以外の布片部分との間の段差が減少する。
接合対象の布片と共布のテープを使用することにより、材料の在庫管理が容易になる。
共布のテープは、シール性能向上の観点から2枚の布片の表面層と裏面層とに溶着するのが最も望ましいが、化学防護服に縫製した時に外気に触れる2枚の布片の表面層には共布のテープを溶着し、内気に触れる2枚の布片の裏面層には共布のテープを接着しても良い。
表面層と裏面層とを形成する熱可塑性樹脂フィルムは誘電体であり、溶着は高周波誘電加熱で行うのが好ましいが、他の方法で溶着しても良い。尚、ポリウレタン樹脂フィルム又はポリ塩化ビニル樹脂フィルムは高周波誘電加熱による溶着に好適な素材である。
耐薬品透過性樹脂フィルム中間層の保護のために、化学防護服用布は格子織布中間層を有することが望ましい。

本実施例に係る化学防護服用布片の接合方法においては、布片2、3の接合部が3層の積層体となり、従来の接合方法に比べて接合部と接合部以外の布片部分との間の段差が減少する。
