Description
前記有機表面処理剤が、銅粒子の表面に直接結合している有機表面処理剤と、該有機表面処理剤よりも外方に位置し、かつ銅粒子の表面に結合していない有機表面処理剤とからなり、
前記有機表面処理剤に占める、銅粒子の表面に結合していない有機表面処理剤の割合が炭素原子換算で15.0質量%以上80.0質量%以下である銅粉を提供するものである。
か、又は結合性表面処理剤に加えて遊離性表面処理剤を含んでいたとしても、該遊離性表面処理剤の割合は低いものであった。これとは対照的に、本発明の銅粉は、結合性表面処理剤及び遊離性表面処理剤の双方を含み、かつ遊離性表面処理剤の割合が高いものである。具体的には、有機表面処理剤全体に占める、遊離性表面処理剤の割合P2は、炭素原子換算で15.0質量%以上80.0質量%以下であることが好ましく、20.0質量%以上79.0質量%以下であることが更に好ましく、22.0質量%以上78.0質量%以下であることが一層好ましい。このような範囲にあることで、遊離表面処理剤による銅粒子表面の酸化被膜除去や共融解効果によって、銅粒子どうしの融解温度を低温化することが可能となる。
(a)前記反応液中に、ヒドラジンを、時間をおいて複数回にわたって添加する。
(b)前記反応液中に、ヒドラジンを、連続して所定時間にわたって添加する。
(a)の場合、複数回とは、2回以上9回以下程度であることが好ましい。ヒドラジンの各添加の間隔は5分以上90分以下程度であることが好ましい。
(b)の場合、前記の所定時間とは1分以上180分以下程度であることが好ましい。反応液は、ヒドラジンとの混合が終了した後も、撹拌を継続して、熟成することが好ましい。こうすることで、D/DBETの値が前記の範囲内となる銅粉が得やすいからである。
36リットルのステンレス製タンク中に温純水5.0リットル及びメタノール5.0リットルを入れ、そこに2.5kgの酢酸銅を入れた。液温40.0℃で30分間撹拌して亜酸化銅を溶解させた。次いで150.0gのヒドラジンを液中に一括添加した後、30分間にわたって撹拌を継続し、液中に亜酸化銅の微粒子を生成させた。30分経過後、1400.0gのヒドラジンを液中に一括添加した後、60分間にわたって撹拌を継続し、亜酸化銅の微粒子を銅の微粒子に還元した。このようにして得られた銅微粒子の水性スラリーを、ロータリーフィルターによって電導度が1.0mSになるまで洗浄を行った。得られた銅粉20質量%水性スラリーを50℃に加熱し、そこにラウリン酸32gを溶解させたメタノール溶液を瞬時に添加し、1時間撹拌した。その後、ろ過により固液分離を行った。得られた銅粉を真空乾燥させることで、有機表面処理銅粉を得た。
有機溶媒の種類、水及び有機溶媒の使用量、銅源の種類、又は有機表面処理剤の種類及び量を下記の表1に記載のとおりに変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、目的とする銅粉を得た。
実施例1から5で得られた銅粉並びに比較例1及び2の銅粉について、以下の方法で、一次粒子の平均粒径D(nm)、BET比表面積に基づく真球換算での平均粒径DBET(nm)を求めた。更に、得られたD及びDBETの値からD/DBETを算出した。また、以下の方法で粉体中の炭素量を測定し、それに基づいて有機表面処理剤の割合P1、及び遊離性表面処理剤の割合P2を求めた。また、以下の方法で、銅の結晶子径(nm)を求めた。更に以下の方法で、焼結開始温度(℃)を求めた。これらの結果を表2に示す。
走査型電子顕微鏡(日本電子(株)製JSM−6330F)を用い、倍率10,000倍又は30,000倍で、銅粉を観察し、視野中の粒子200個について水平方向フェレ径を測定した。測定した値から、球に換算した体積平均粒径を算出し、一次粒子の平均粒径D(μm)とした。
ユアサ アイオニクス(株)Monosorbを用い、1点法で測定した。測定粉末の量を1.0gとし、予備脱気条件は150℃で15分間とした。
前記で得られたBET比表面積(SSA)の値及び銅の室温近傍の密度(8.94g/cm3)から下記式によって求めた。
DBET(μm)=6/(SSA(m2/g)×8.94(g/cm3))
(株)リガク製のUltimaIVを用いて銅粉のX線回折測定を行った。得られた(111)ピークを用いて、シェラー(Scherrer)法によって結晶子径(nm)を算出した。
セイコーインスツル(株)EXSTAR 6000を用いて、焼結開始温度の測定を行った。粉体500mgをφ4.0mmのアルミ製カップに入れて1.0MPaで加圧成形することでペレットを製造した。当該粉のペレットを1vol%水素−99vol%雰囲気下に10℃/minで昇温させることで行った。このようにして室温(25℃)から測定を開始し、温度と変位量(%)との関係を示すグラフを得る。両者の関係は、低温域では変位量に変化はなく平坦なグラフとなり、高温域に達するに連れて変位量がマイナス(収縮)になる。あるいは場合によっては、ペレットの作製時のばらつきに起因して、低温域において変位量が一旦プラス(膨張)側に上昇した後、高温域に達するに連れて変位量が下降に転じて最終的にはマイナス(収縮)になる。そこで本発明における熱収縮開始温度は、変位量のグラフが昇温に連れて平坦な状態からマイナスに変化する場合には、その平坦な状態から変位量が1.0%減少した温度をもって熱収縮開始温度と定義する。また、変位量のグラフが昇温に連れて一旦プラス方向に上昇し、その後マイナス方向に降下するように変化する場合には、変位量が、上昇から下降に転じた時点から1.0%減少した温度をもって熱収縮開始温度と定義する。
Claims (6)
- 一次粒子の平均粒径Dが0.10μm以上0.6μm以下であり、粒子表面に有機表面処理剤が施されており、該有機表面処理剤が施された状態での粒子に占める該有機表面処理剤の割合が、炭素原子換算で0.25質量%以上5.50質量%以下であり、
前記有機表面処理剤が、銅粒子の表面に直接結合している有機表面処理剤と、該有機表面処理剤よりも外方に位置し、かつ銅粒子の表面に結合していない有機表面処理剤とからなり、
前記有機表面処理剤に占める、銅粒子の表面に結合していない有機表面処理剤の割合が炭素原子換算で15.0質量%以上80.0質量%以下である銅粉。 - 前記有機表面処理剤が、炭素原子数6以上18以下の脂肪酸又は脂肪族アミンである請求項1に記載の銅粉。
- 一次粒子の平均粒径DとBET比表面積に基づく真球換算での平均粒径DBETとの比であるD/DBETの値が0.5以上1.0以下である請求項1又は2に記載の銅粉。
- 銅の結晶子径が60nm以下である請求項1ないし3のいずれか一項に記載の銅粉。
- 焼結開始温度が150℃以上300℃以下である請求項1ないし4のいずれか一項に記載の銅粉。
- 請求項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載の銅粉と有機溶媒とを含む導電性組成物。
