Description
本願は、2006年11月3日付けで出願された米国仮出願第60/856,486号の利益を主張する(この参照によりその全体を開示に含める)。
本発明は、ポリガラクトマンナン組成物に関し、より具体的には、グリオキサールで架橋することにより容易に水に分散させることができる分離したグアール粒子を形成するグアールガム組成物に関し、このような組成物は、その後のグアールの加工(例えば洗浄)が可能である。望ましくは、例えばパーソナルケアまたは家庭用ケア製品などの用途で使用するためのグアールおよびその誘導体である。
1)香料、これは、芳香剤および消臭香料の形態で嗅覚的反応を引き起こし、香りに対する反応を提供することに加えて、悪臭を減少させることができる;
2)皮膚用冷却剤、例えばメントール、酢酸メンチル、メンチルピロリドンカルボキシラートN−エチル−p−メンタン−3−カルボキサミドおよびその他のメントール誘導体、これは、皮膚に冷たい感覚を起こすような触覚的反応を引き起こす;
3)皮膚軟化薬、例えばミリスチン酸イソプロピル、シリコーン材料、鉱油および植物油、これは、皮膚の滑らかさを増すような触覚的反応を引き起こす;
4)香料以外の消臭剤、これは、皮膚表面のミクロフローラ、特に体の悪臭の発生に関与するミクロフローラの量を減少させたり、またはそれらを排除するように機能する。香水以外の消臭剤の前駆体を用いてもよい;
5)制汗剤活性物質、これは、皮膚表面の発汗した外観を目立たなくしたり、または排除したりするように機能する;
6)保湿剤、これは、水分を与えること、または、皮膚からの蒸発を防ぐことのいずれかによって皮膚を湿潤した状態に保つ;
7)クレンジング剤、これは、汚れや油を皮膚から除去する;
8)日焼け止め活性成分、これは、UVなどの太陽からの有害な光線から皮膚および毛髪を保護する。本発明によれば、治療的に有効量は、通常は、組成物の0.01〜10重量%と予想され、好ましくは0.1〜5重量%である;
9)ヘアートリートメント剤、これは、毛髪をコンディショニングし、毛髪をきれいにし、毛髪のもつれをほどき、スタイリング剤、ボリュームを増し光沢を増す物質、色素の定着剤、ふけ防止剤、毛髪成長促進剤、毛髪用染料および顔料、毛髪用香水、ヘアリラクサー、毛髪の脱色剤、ヘアモイスチャライザー、毛髪のオイルトリートメント剤、および、縮れ防止剤として作用する;
10)口腔ケア剤、例えば歯みがき剤、および、マウスウォッシュ、これは、歯と歯茎をきれいにし、白色化し、脱臭し、および、保護する;
11)義歯接着剤、これは、義歯に接着特性を提供する;
12)髭剃り用製品、例えば、クリーム、ゲルおよびローション、ならびに、かみそり刃の滑りをよくするストリップ;
13)顔料または染料、これは、毛髪、皮膚または織物の下地に色を付与する。

2)昆虫忌避剤、これは、特定の領域に昆虫が入らないようにしたり、または、昆虫の皮膚への攻撃を防ぐように機能する;

4)ペット脱臭剤または防虫剤、例えばペットの臭いを減少させるピレトリン;
5)ペット用シャンプー剤および活性物質、これは、皮膚および毛髪表面から汚れ、異物および微生物を除去するように機能する;
6)工業グレードの固形石鹸、シャワージェルおよび液体石鹸の活性物質、これは、皮膚から微生物、汚れ、グリースおよび油を除去し、皮膚を衛生的にし、皮膚をコンディショニングする;
7)多目的の洗浄剤、これは、台所、浴室、公共施設のような領域の表面から汚れ、油、グリース、微生物を除去する;
8)消毒成分、これは、家または公共施設で微生物を殺す、または、その増殖を防ぐ;
9)敷物および室内装飾材料用クリーニング活性物質、これは、汚れや異物粒子を表面から浮き上がらせて除去し、さらに柔軟仕上げと香りを付与する;
10)洗濯用柔軟剤活性物質、これは、静電気を減少させ、織物の感触を柔らかくする;
11)洗濯用洗浄剤の成分、これは、汚れ、油、グリース、しみを除去し、微生物を殺す;
12)洗濯用洗浄剤または織物用柔軟剤の成分、これは、ファブリックケアの洗浄、リンスおよび乾燥サイクルの間の色落ちを減少させる;
13)食器洗い用界面活性剤、これは、しみ、食べ物、微生物を除去する;
14)便器用洗剤、これは、しみを除去し、微生物を殺し、脱臭する;
15)洗濯用プレスポット用活性剤、これは、衣服からのしみの除去を促進する;
16)織物用サイズ剤、これは、織物の外観を向上させる;
17)乗り物用のクリーニング活性物質、これは、乗り物や装置から汚れ、グリースなどを除去する;
18)潤滑剤、これは、部品間の摩擦を減少させる。
カチオン性グアールの製造
カチオン性グアールを、既知の手順によって、架橋剤を使用しないで製造した。
実施例1と同様にしてカチオン性グアールを製造した。3−クロロ2ヒドロキシプロピルトリメチルアンモニウム塩化物との反応の最後に、様々な量の酢酸およびグリオキサールを撹拌しながら添加した。用いられた酢酸およびグリオキサールの量は、表1の実施例2〜4で指定した通りである。この混合物を45℃より高い温度に加熱し、架橋させた。
この反応混合物を周囲温度に冷却した後、粗生成物を水で2時間洗浄した。続いてこの生成物をろ過し、乾燥させ、すりつぶした。
表2の実施例5および6に、本発明の追加の架橋された生成物を示す。実施例5を実施例3に記載の手順に従って製造し、0.14のカチオン性DSを有するカチオン性グアールを製造した。実施例6の生成物を、実施例3に記載の手順に従って、より大量の30%2−ヒドロキシプロピル−3−トリメチルアンモニウム塩化物を用いて製造したところ、0.2のカチオン性DSが達成された。実施例5および6に記載された本発明の生成物の1%水溶液の粘度は、実施例7に記載された比較のためのホウ酸塩で架橋されたカチオン性グアールの1%水溶液の粘度に類似している。
本発明の生成物のコンディショニング性能の証明
表2の実施例8および9で、実施例5および6に記載された本発明のカチオン性ポリガラクトマンナン材料をコンディショニングシャンプー調合物に使用した例を示し、実施例7のホウ酸塩で架橋されたカチオン性グアールを含む比較のためのコントロールシャンプー(実施例10)、および、カチオン性グアールを含まないシャンプー(実施例11)と比較した。
表2に記載のコンディショニングシャンプー調合物を、表3に示す77重量部(重量部)の界面活性剤の予備混合組成物と、19重量部の脱イオン水および0.3重量部の本発明のポリマーとを、カフラモ(Caframo)の分散ブレードを備えたオーバーヘッド式の機械式撹拌器を用いて600rpmで撹拌することによって混合し、この組成物を周囲温度で45分間混合させることによって製造した。この段階で、この調合物に3重量部のシリコーンエマルジョン(ダウ・コーニング(Dow Corning)1784)を添加し、さらに15分間混合を続けた。このシャンプー組成物を周囲温度でで一晩維持し、小型のサンプルアダプター、スピンドル31を備えたブルックフィールドLVT粘度計を特定の回転速度で用いて各シャンプーの粘度を測定した。
本発明のグリオキサールで架橋されたカチオン性グアールを含む実施例8および9に記載されたシャンプーの粘度と、比較例11に記載されたポリマーを含まないシャンプーの粘度とを比較することによって、本発明の生成物の増粘性能を証明した。実施例8および9に記載されたシャンプーの粘度は、実施例10に記載のホウ酸塩で架橋されたカチオン性グアールを含むシャンプーの粘度に類似している。
水で湿潤させた毛髪束に、シャンプー調合物を、毛髪束1重量部に対してシャンプー0.5重量部の比率で適用することによってコーミング性能を測定した。この毛髪束を60秒間混練し、続いて40℃の水で30秒間リンスした。このプロセスを繰り返し、続いて毛髪束を脱イオン水でリンスし、毛髪束から余分な水分を絞った。この毛髪束を二重の櫛を有する装置に置き、インストロン(Instron)5542で、12.5cm/分のクロスヘッド速度で、エース(Ace)の硬質ゴム製の目の細かいポケットコームを用いる二重の櫛による方法を用いて、23℃および50%の相対湿度で、湿潤状態でのコーミング力を8回測定した。次に、毛髪束を23℃および50%の相対湿度で一晩乾燥させ、上記と同じ二重の櫛による方法を用いて乾燥したコーミング性能を測定した。表2に記載の標準化したコーミングに要する力は、毛髪束の重量あたりのコーミングに要する力の合計を示す。
スキンケア用途、ボディ洗剤における使用の証明
表4に、ボディ洗剤調合物における本発明の生成物の増粘性能を示す。実施例5および6における0.3重量部の本発明のポリマーを、表5に記載の76重量部のボディ洗剤の予備混合調合物および水(体積が100になるまで添加した)に添加することによって、ボディ洗剤調合物を製造した。分散ブレードを備えたオーバーヘッド式の機械式撹拌器を用いて1時間混合した。ボディ洗剤のpHは、5.6であった。
ポリガラクトマンナンポリマーおよびそれらの誘導体の架橋剤としてグリオキサールの使用に加えて、ポリガラクトマンナンポリマーと水膨潤性または水分散性の複合体を形成するその他の物質も、ポリガラクトマンナンの水分散性を改善するように作用する可能性がある。これらの物質としては、リン酸、硫酸、スルホン酸、カルボン酸または炭酸基を含むオリゴマーまたはポリマー、例えばヘキサメタリン酸ナトリウムポリスチレンスルホン酸塩、加えて、カチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンポリマーと水分散性の複合体を形成することができるカゼインまたは乳清のようなタンパク質が挙げられる。さらにこれらの物質としては、アニオン性、カチオン性および両性表面活性剤、例えばラウリル硫酸アンモニウム、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム、セチルトリメチルアンモニウム塩化物または臭化物、ならびに、コカミドプロピルベタインが挙げられる。
Claims (17)
- 活性成分物質を含むパーソナルケア又は家庭用ケア組成物を増粘するための増粘用組成物であって、
前記増粘用組成物は乾燥させた、グリオキサールで処理したカチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンを含み、そして
前記乾燥させた、グリオキサールで処理したカチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンが、下限が0.05、および、上限が1.0のカチオン性置換基の置換度(DS)を有する、
上記の増粘用組成物。 - 前記乾燥させた、グリオキサールで処理したカチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンが、グリオキサールで処理したカチオン性グアールである、請求項1に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 前記乾燥させた、グリオキサールで処理したカチオン性グアールが、下限が50,000、および、上限が5,000,000の重量平均分子量(Mw)を有する、請求項2に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 前記組成物が、クレンジング組成物、コンディショナー、および、ヘアスタイリング製品からなる群より選択されるパーソナルケア組成物である、請求項1に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 前記パーソナルケア組成物が、両性界面活性剤、カチオン性界面活性剤、アニオン性界面活性剤、非イオン界面活性剤、両性イオン性界面活性剤、および、それらの組み合わせから選択される1種またはそれより多くの界面活性化合物をさらに含む、請求項4に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 前記パーソナルケア組成物が保存剤、増粘剤、機能性ポリマー、粘度調整剤、電解質、pH調節剤、香料、色素、UVスクリーン、有機シリコーン材料、ふけ防止剤、ビタミン、ビタミン誘導体からなる群より選択される1種またはそれより多くの追加成分をさらに含む、請求項5に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 前記パーソナルケア組成物が、ヘアケア組成物である、請求項4に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 前記パーソナルケア組成物が、スキンケア組成物である、請求項4に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 前記組成物が、家庭用ケア組成物である、請求項1に記載の増粘用組成物。
- 請求項1記載の増粘用組成物の製造方法であって:
a.カチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンを得る工程;
b.該カチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンを有効量のグリオキサールで処理して、グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたカチオン性ポリガラクトマンナン粒子を生産する工程;
c.3から7未満の範囲のpHを有する水に該架橋されたグリオキサールで処理したカチオン性ポリガラクトマンナン粒子を分散する工程;および、
d.該グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたカチオン性ポリガラクトマンナン粒子を水中で洗浄する工程、
を含み、前記乾燥させた、グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたポリガラクトマンナンは、下限が0.05、および、上限が1.0のカチオン性置換基の置換度(DS)を有する、上記方法。 - 前記カチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンが、カチオン性グアールを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- パーソナルケア又は家庭用ケア組成物を増粘するための、乾燥させた、グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたポリガラクトマンナンを含む分散性カチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンの使用であって、該グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたポリガラクトマンナンは、下限が0.05、および、上限が1.0のカチオン性置換基の置換度(DS)を有する、上記カチオン性ポリガラクトマンナンの使用。
- 前記置換基の置換度(DS)の上限が、0.25である、請求項12に記載の使用。
- 前記グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたポリガラクトマンナンが、下限が50,000、および、上限が5,000,000の重量平均分子量(Mw)を有する、請求項12に記載の使用。
- 前記重量平均分子量(Mw)の下限が、300,000である、請求項14に記載の使用。
- 前記重量平均分子量(Mw)の下限が、400,000である、請求項14に記載の使用。
- 前記グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたポリガラクトマンナンが、グリオキサールで処理し架橋されたグアールを含む、請求項12に記載の使用。
