Description
a)アルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸イミドあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤が窒素含有量換算値で0.01〜0.3質量%、
b)硫黄含有量が3質量%以下で全塩基価10〜350mgKOH/gの金属含有清浄剤(いわゆる金属系清浄剤)が硫酸灰分換算値で0.1〜1質量%、
c)ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛が、リン含有量換算値で0.01〜0.12重量%、そして
d)酸化防止性のフェノール化合物および/または酸化防止性のアミン化合物が0.01〜5質量%、
の量にて溶解もしくは分散されていて、組成物の全質量に基づき、硫酸灰分量が0.1〜1質量%の範囲、リン含有量が0.01〜0.1質量%の範囲、そして硫黄含有量が0.01〜0.3質量%の範囲にあって、塩素含有量が40質量ppm以下であり、さらに金属含有清浄剤に含まれる有機酸金属塩が組成物中に0.2〜7質量%(好ましくは0.5〜5質量%、さらに好ましくは1.0〜3質量%)存在することを特徴とするものである。そして、この特許文献1に記載の実施例では、上記の組成の潤滑油組成物は、エンジン油として使用した場合に優れた高温清浄性を示すことが明らかにされている。
なお、この特許文献1には、潤滑油組成物に、摩擦調整剤、酸化防止剤、そして摩耗防止剤として機能する多機能添加剤として、モリブデン含有化合物を用いることができる旨の記載がある。このような多機能添加剤として有用なモリブデン含有化合物としては、特許文献1にも記載があるが、従来より、硫化オキシモリブデンジチオカーバメート、硫化オキシモリブデンジチオホスフェート、硫黄分を含むか、あるいは含まないこはく酸イミドのモリブデン錯体が知られている。
本発明の発明者の研究により、この塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体の摩擦緩和作用は、無灰分散剤として知られているアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸イミドあるいはその誘導体、そして同じく無灰分散剤として知られているアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸エステルあるいはその誘導体を特定の範囲の量にて組合せて潤滑油組成物に添加すると、顕著に向上することを見出し、本発明に到達した。なお、上記の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体をこはく酸イミドあるいはその誘導体と組合せて潤滑油組成物に添加した場合(すなわち、さらにこはく酸エステルあるいはその誘導体を組合せることをしなかった場合)には、潤滑油組成物の高温酸化防止性は向上するが、摩擦係数の低減には殆ど有効でないことが判明した。

b)0.5〜5.0質量%のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸エステルあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤、
c)モリブデン量として50〜1200質量ppmとなる量の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体、
d)アルカリ土類金属量として0.05〜1.0質量%となる量の全塩基価が10〜400mgKOH/gのアルカリ土類金属含有清浄剤、そして
e)0.05〜5.0質量%の摩耗防止剤。
(1)潤滑油組成物の硫黄含有量が0.01以上、0.2質量%である。
(2)潤滑油組成物の硫黄含有量が0.05以上、0.12質量%以下である。
(3)潤滑油組成物が、粘度指数向上剤を含有し、SAE粘度グレードが、0W5、0W10、0W15、0W20、0W30、5W20、5W30、10W20、もしくは10W30のマルチグレードエンジン油とされている。
(4)成分a)のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸イミドあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤の含有量が1.0質量%以上、4.0質量%以下である。
(5)成分b)のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸エステルあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤の含有量が1.0質量%以上、4.0質量%以下である。
(6)成分a)のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸イミドあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤と成分b)のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸エステルあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤との質量比が1:4〜4:1の範囲にある。
(7)成分c)の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体が、1質量%を超えない量の硫黄を含有する。
(8)成分c)の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体が、0.05質量%以上、0.5質量%以下の硫黄を含有する。
(9)成分c)の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体が、こはく酸イミドのモリブデン錯体である。
(10)成分d)のアルカリ土類金属含有清浄剤が、アルカリ土類金属のサリシレートを含む。
(11)摩耗防止剤がジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛である。
(12)酸化防止剤を含む。
(13)潤滑油組成物が、硫黄分が0.001質量%以下の燃料油を用いて運転される内燃機関の潤滑用である。
性能評価に供する潤滑油組成物として、下記の基油と添加剤成分とを用いて、硫黄含有量が0.5質量%以下の潤滑油組成物を下記処方により製造した。潤滑油組成物は、粘度指数向上剤の添加により、5W30の粘度グレード(SAE粘度グレード)を示すように調整された。
1)基油(下記基油Aと基油Bの質量比で46:54の混合物)
基油A:100℃での動粘度が6.4mm2/sで、粘度指数が132、飽和成分が92質量%、硫黄含有量が0.001質量%未満の水素化分解基油
基油B:100℃での動粘度が4.1mm2/sで、粘度指数が127、飽和成分が92質量%、硫黄含有量が0.001質量%未満の水素化分解基油
2)添加剤
無灰性分散剤B:こはく酸エステル分散剤(TAN:5mgKOH/g、数平均分子量が約1000のポリブテンと無水マレイン酸との熱反応によりポリイソブテニルこはく酸無水物を生成させ、ついでこのポリイソブテニルこはく酸無水物約1.14モルとペンタエリスリトール1モルとを反応させて得たアルケニルこはく酸エステル)
MoDTC:硫化オキシモリブデンジアルキルジチオカーバメート(モリブデン含量:10質量%、硫黄含量:11質量%)
カルシウム含有清浄剤B:モノアルキル(炭素原子数:約20〜28)サリチル酸カルシウム塩(過塩基化度:8.2、カルシウム含量:11.4質量%、硫黄含量:0.17質量%)
カルシウム含有清浄剤C:ニュートラルタイプのカルシウムスルホネート(カルシウム含量:2.4質量%、硫黄含量:2.7質量%)
粘度指数向上剤(非分散型のエチレンプロピレン共重合体、Paratone8057)
往復動摩擦試験機(HFRR)を用い、下記の測定条件にて、試験油の摩擦係数を測定した。
油温:105℃、荷重:400g、摩擦距離:1000μm、往復動周期:20Hz、測定時間:1時間
ホットチューブ試験機(HTT)を用い、下記の測定条件にて、試験油の高温堆積物(デポジット)の生成を防止する能力を評価した。なお、評価はメリット法(10点満点)による評点で行なった。従って、評点が高いほど、高温堆積物生成の防止能力が高いことを意味する。
内径2mmのガラス管をヒータブロック内に垂直に配置し、このガラス管の下部から、試験油を0.31cc/時、そして空気を10cc/分の流速にて送り込んだ。なお、この操作はヒータ部の温度を280℃に維持して16時間行なった。その後、ガラス管をヒータブロックから取り外し、石油エーテルで洗浄したのち乾燥し、ガラス管の内面に付着した堆積物を観察し、メリット法による評点を付けた。
試験油の組成と評価結果を下記の第1表に示す。

Claims (12)
- 基油に、少なくとも、
a)1.0〜4.0質量%のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸イミドあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤、
b)1.0〜4.0質量%のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸エステルあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤、
c)モリブデン量として50〜1200質量ppmとなる量の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体、
d)アルカリ土類金属量として0.05〜1.0質量%となる量の全塩基価が10〜400mgKOH/gのアルカリ土類金属含有清浄剤、そして
e)0.05〜5.0質量%の摩耗防止剤
が溶解もしくは分散され、
硫黄含有量が0.5質量%以下であり、
成分a)のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸イミドあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤と成分b)のアルケニルもしくはアルキルこはく酸エステルあるいはその誘導体である無灰性分散剤との質量比が1:2〜2:1の範囲にある、内燃機関の潤滑のための潤滑油組成物。 - 硫黄含有量が0.01〜0.2質量%の範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 硫黄含有量が0.05〜0.12質量%の範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- さらに粘度指数向上剤を含有する、SAE粘度グレードが0W5、0W10、0W15、0W20、0W30、5W20、5W30、10W20、もしくは10W30のマルチグレードエンジン油である請求項1から3の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 成分c)の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体が、1質量%を超えない量の硫黄を含有する請求項1から4の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 成分c)の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体が、0.05〜0.5質量%の硫黄を含有する請求項5に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 成分c)の塩基性窒素化合物のモリブデン錯体が、こはく酸イミドのモリブデン錯体である請求項1から6の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 成分d)のアルカリ土類金属含有清浄剤が、アルカリ土類金属のサリシレートを含む請求項1から7の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 摩耗防止剤がジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛である請求項1から8の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- さらに酸化防止剤を含む請求項1から9の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 硫黄分が0.001質量%以下の燃料油を用いて運転される内燃機関の潤滑用である請求項1から10の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 請求項1から10の何れか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物を用いて、硫黄分が0.001質量%以下の燃料油を用いて運転される陸上走行用の車両に搭載された内燃機関を作動させる方法。
