Description
本発明における平均粒径とは、後述の実施例の欄に詳述する測定法によって測定される粒子径の平均値である。
前記高分子保護材としては、ポリ−N−ビニルピロリドン(PVP)、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリビニルピリジン、ポリ−n−ビニルピリジン(PVPn)、N−ビニルピロリドンとアクリル酸とのコポリマー、ポリビニルメチルケトン、ポリ(4−ビニルフェノール)、オキサゾリンポリマー、ポリアルキレンイミンなどの官能基含有ポリマーが挙げられる。
また、本発明のNOX浄化用触媒によれば、エンジンでの空燃比(A/F)を低くすることが必要でない。例えば、定常運転時に高い空燃比(例えば、理論的にはA/F=14.7であるが)で、ガソリンエンジンの場合はA/F≧20、ジーゼルエンジンの場合はA/F≧30を可能とし得る。
得られた触媒の評価は以下に示す測定法によって行った。以下に示す測定法は例示であって、これに限定されない。
測定方法:XRD(X線回折:X-Ray Diffraction)によりバルク全体の組成測定
測定装置:PHILIPS X’Pert MRD
測定方法1:TEM(Transmission Electron Microscope 透過型電子顕微鏡)測定
TEM測定装置:HITACHI HD−2000 STEM
測定方法2:HRTEM(High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope 高分解能電子顕微鏡)
HRTEM測定装置:HITACHI HD−2000
測定方法:TEM−EDS(EDS:エネルギー分散型X線分光法)による組成測定
TEM−EDS測定装置:HITACHI HD−2000 STEM
触媒ペレットをガラスの反応管につめ、ガラスウールで固定する。1000ppmのNOと1000ppmのH2又はCOとN2で流量をバランスし、あらかじめ混合したガスを、ガラスの反応管に流す。ガス温度は20℃/minの昇温速度で100℃から500℃又は400℃まで上昇させる。NO濃度は排ガス分析計(HORIBA MEXA7100H)若しくはMS(質量分析)で測定する。
なお、H2を含まないガスを流す場合は、500℃で水素還元後に測定を行った。
5.AuFe微粒子のX線回折
X線回折測定装置:Rigaku RINT2000
1)AuFeナノ粒子の合成
二又フラスコ中で1.1gのポリ-n-ビニルピロリドン(PVP)又はポリ−n−ビニルピリジンを120mLの無水エチレングリコールに加えた。この混合物に0.0574gの硫酸鉄(FeSO4(II)・H2O)を加えて80℃で3時間攪拌して、溶液(溶液1)を得た。
100mLのシュレンク管に1gの担体(例えば、Al2O3)を入れた。シュレンク管内を真空に引き、N2を流し込んで配管を洗浄し完全に空気を取り除いた。先に合成したコロイドの懸濁液(精製したものと残りの液との両方)については濃度を把握しておき、Rh0.5wt%相当モルのAu、およびFe金属量を含む精製コロイド懸濁液を、ゴムのセプタムを通してシュレンク管に注入した。混合物を室温で3時間攪拌し、溶媒は真空に引いて取り除いた。その後、コロイド沈殿物の残りの高分子保護材を200〜1000℃で真空、空気又はH2雰囲気で加熱乾燥して取り除いた。得られた触媒粉末は圧力をかけて約2mmのペレットとした。
得られたAuFe(50:50)/Al2O3触媒について、二元金属粒子の形状、粒度分布測定を行った。
ガス流条件:
ガス組成 NO 1000ppm、CO 1000ppm、N2 bal./10L
流速:500mL/min
ペレット:150mg
空間速度:3.3L/min・g
Au、Fe メタル濃度:各々0.0486mmol/g−cat
結果を他の結果とまとめて図12に示す。
溶液1を用いない他は実施例1と同様にして、Au/Al2O3触媒を得た。
得られたAu/Al2O3触媒について、実施例1と同様にしてNO−CO触媒活性を測定した。結果を他の結果とまとめて図12に示す。
実施例1において、硫酸鉄に代えて塩化タングステン(比較例2)、塩化レニウム(比較例3)又は酸化マンガン(比較例4)を用いた他は実施例1と同様にして、AuW(50:50)/Al2O3触媒、AuRe(50:50)/Al2O3触媒、AuMn(50:50)/Al2O3触媒を得た。
担体をAl2O3からSiO2に変えた他は実施例1と同様にして、AuFe(50:50)/SiO2触媒を得た。
ガス流条件:
ガス組成 NO 1000ppm、H2 1000ppm、N2 bal./10L
流速:10L/min
ペレット:2g
空間速度:5L/min・g
Au、Fe 金属濃度:各々0.0486mmol/g−cat
得られた結果を、他の結果とまとめて図13および図14に示す。
担体をAl2O3からSiO2に変えた他は比較例1と同様にして、Au/SiO2触媒を得た。
実施例2と同じ量の酢酸鉄を100mLの水に溶かした。別のフラスコにて攪拌しながら200mLの水に50gの担体(SiO2)に入れてコロイド懸濁液を得た。これに酢酸鉄水溶液を流し入れ、2時間放置した。その後、水分を70〜90℃で蒸発させ、サンプルを120℃で15時間乾燥し、500℃で2時間焼成させた。得られた触媒粉末は圧力をかけて約2mmのペレットにして、Fe/SiO2触媒を得た。
酢酸鉄、同モルの塩化金酸を用い比較例6と同様にして、AuとFeとの混合金属イオン溶液の蒸発により金属を析出させて、Au、Fe/Al2O3触媒(比較例7)およびAu、Fe/SiO2触媒(比較例8)を得た。
AuとFeの割合を、Au:Fe=50:50からAu:Fe=25:75に変えた他は実施例2と同様にして、AuFe(25:75)/SiO2触媒を得た。

Claims (6)
- 窒素酸化物浄化用触媒であって、平均粒径が0.2〜100nmでありAu原子とFe原子とが、ナノ粒子である一次粒子中でAu原子の少なくとも1つがFe原子の少なくとも1つと隣接している状態で含まれる粒子からなる、窒素酸化物浄化用触媒。
- 前記AuとFeとの組成が、Au:Fe=7:93〜91:9(at%)である請求項1に記載の触媒。
- 前記AuとFeとの組成が、Au:Fe=8:92〜26:74(at%)である請求項1に記載の触媒。
- 前記ナノ粒子が、金属酸化物担体に担持されてなるものである請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の触媒。
- 前記平均粒径が0.2〜30nmである請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の触媒。
- 前記金属酸化物担体が、Al 2 O 3 、SiO 2 、CeO 2 又はCeO 2 −ZrO 2 である請求項4に記載の触媒。
