Description
(A)フルオロメタレートアニオン成分、各アニオンは、
(i)少なくとも4つのフッ素原子及び
(ii)チタン、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、シリコン、アルミニウム及びホウ素から選択される元素の少なくとも1つの原子、ならびに、任意に、
(iii)少なくともひとつのイオン化可能水素原子及び
(iv)少なくともひとつの酸素原子の一方又は双方からなり、
(B)クロム(III)カチオン成分、クロム:ジルコニウム比の範囲は、10:1〜25
:1であり、
を含む、好ましくは実質的になり、より好ましくはからなり、任意に、以下の成分、
(C)直前に引用された成分(A)から(B)のいずれかの一部でない遊離フッ化物イオン成分、
(D)直前に引用された成分(A)から(C)のいずれかの一部でない界面活性剤分子成分、
(E)直前に引用された成分(A)から(D)のいずれかの一部でないpH調整成分、ならびに
(F)直前に引用された成分(A)から(E)のいずれかの一部でない増粘成分を含む、液状組成物を提供する。
(II)任意に、濡れた金属基体表面を洗浄し、及び
(III)濡れた金属基体表面を乾燥することによって達成することができる。
実施例
比較例
比較例1から3を、三価クロムの硫酸塩の水溶液(Mcgean Specialty Chemicals社から入手可能)を用いて先行技術に従って調製した。それは、12重量%のCrであると製造業者によって表示されていた。比較例2は、比較例1よりも10重量%多い硫酸塩を含んでいる。比較例3は、比較例1よりも20重量%多い硫酸塩を含んでいる。2024 T3ベアアルミニウムパネルはRidoline(商標名)4355 ヘンケルコーポレーションから市販されているが、Ridoline 4355、アルカリ性クリーナー中で、10分間洗浄し、水で洗浄し、5分間、Deoxylyte 2310、ヘンケルコーポレーションから市販されている脱酸化剤に接触させ、洗浄した。3つのパネルを各比較例に対して、合計9パネル処理した。パネルを10分間、周囲温度で、各作業用溶液に接触させた。
表1の比較例で調製された溶液を、1〜2週間経過後に観察した。細かい堆積物の沈殿が溶液の底に沈殿物として発生した。沈殿物の生成は、パネル被覆操作によって阻害され、それは、溶液中での沈殿物の分散をもたらした。沈殿物が溶液中に分散した間被膜パネルは、被覆されたパネル表面に望ましくない白色粉末堆積物をもたらした。
実施例1
三価クロム化成被膜組成物を、表2に従って調製した。クロム(III)フッ化物を160°Fの水に加え、完全に溶解するまで混合した。溶液を、室温まで冷却して、フルオロジルコニウム酸を添加した。組成物のpHを、水酸化アンモニウムを用いて調整した。
市販の2024 T3 ベア3インチ×8インチのアルミニウムパネルを比較例での製造に従って製造した。各パネルを、次いで、周辺温度で、記載された時間、表2の組成物の一つに接触させた。
パネルを周囲温湿度で3日間硬化させた。全てのパネルを、ASTM Bl 17により336時間、塩水噴霧試験に暴露し、1から10で、1=耐食なし、2=耐食はないが着色あり、3=1〜3ピット/パネルと評価した。3の評価を、適切な耐塩水噴霧性に対する最低限の特性と見なした。
表3に、周囲温度で10分間の一定の接触時間での適切な塩水噴霧特性を有する被膜の比較を提供する。
実施例2
三価クロム化成被膜組成物を表4に従って調製した。クロム(III)フッ化物を160°Fの水に加え、完全に溶解するまで混合した。溶液を、室温まで冷却して、フルオロジルコニウム酸を添加した。
実施例2に従って調製された溶液を、1〜2週間後に観察した。未使用の溶液中には沈殿物は観察されなかった。周囲温度でパネルを処理するために用いた溶液には、同様に沈殿物が見られなかった。古い溶液中で被覆したパネルは、本発明の新鮮な溶液中で被覆したそれらと実質的に同様であった。
Claims (20)
- 金属表面と反応する化成被覆形成用組成物であって、
該組成物は、
水及び
(A)フルオロメタレートアニオン成分、
各アニオンは、
(i)少なくとも4つのフッ素原子、及び
(ii)チタン、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、アルミニウム及びホウ素からなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの原子、ならびに、任意に、
(iii)少なくともひとつのイオン化可能水素原子、及び
(iv)少なくともひとつの酸素原子の一方又は双方からなり、
(B)三価クロムを少なくとも6.0g/lの濃度で含有する水溶性フッ化クロム成分を含み、任意に、
(C)前記(A)及び(B)の一部でないフッ素アニオンの水溶性源、
(D)界面活性剤、及び
(E)水溶性増粘剤の1〜3つを含み、
前記組成物は、六価クロム及びリンフリーであり、少なくとも2週間、20〜27℃の温度で貯蔵安定性であり、pH4.4以下である金属表面と反応する化成被覆形成用組成物。 - フルオロメタレートアニオンが、フルオロチタネート又はフルオロジルコネートアニオンからなる群から選択される請求項1の組成物。
- フルオロメタレートアニオンが、0.4から100g/kgの範囲の濃度のフルオロジルコネートアニオン、6から100g/kgの範囲の濃度の水溶性フッ化クロムを含み、前記組成物が0.06%以下の分散シリカ又はシリケートを含有する請求項1の組成物。
- 三価クロム及びジルコニウムを、0.725:1〜39:1の範囲の三価クロム:ジルコニウム比で含有する請求項1の組成物。
- アルミニウム基体上の所定位置で乾燥した前記組成物は、基体を、少なくとも336時間、ASTMB−117に従って95°Fにて5%中性塩水噴霧に付した際に、3ピット/24インチ2以下で発生する程度の耐食性を提供する請求項1の組成物。
- フルオロメタレートアニオンが、フルオロジルコネートアニオンを含み、フルオロジルコネートアニオンの濃度が1〜10g/kgの範囲であり、フッ化クロムの濃度が7:17の範囲の三価クロム:ジルコニウム比である請求項1の組成物。
- 貯蔵安定な金属表面と反応する化成被覆形成用組成物であって、
該組成物は、
水及び
(A)1〜100g/kgの範囲の濃度のフルオロメタレートアニオンを組成物中に与えるフルオロメタレートアニオンの水溶性源の第2マス、各アニオンは、
(i)少なくとも4つのフッ素原子、及び
(ii)チタン、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、アルミニウム及びホウ素からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの原子、ならびに、任意に、
(iii)少なくともひとつのイオン化可能水素原子、及び
(iv)少なくともひとつの酸素原子の一方又は双方からなり、
(B)23g/l〜100g/l量の三価クロムカチオンの水溶性源の第3マスを含み、任意に、
(C)前記(A)及び(B)の一部でないフッ素アニオンの水溶性源の任意の第4マス、及び
(D)界面活性剤成分及び/又は水溶性増粘剤成分の任意の第5マスの1つ又は双方を含む第1マスをともに混合することによって得られ、
該組成物は、水溶性有機腐食抑制剤、水溶性有機安定剤及びリンがフリーであり、少なくとも2週間、20〜27℃の温度で貯蔵安定性を有し、pH2.1以上、4.4以下である金属表面と反応する化成被覆形成用組成物。 - 液状組成物は、0.06%以下の所望のシリカ及びシリケートを含有する請求項7の組成物。
- 第2マスは、組成物において1〜8g/kgの範囲の濃度に対応する量のフルオロジルコネートアニオンを含有し、組成物において0.070〜0.13ppt(千分率)の範囲の濃度に対応するフッ素化アルキルエステル界面活性剤分子の第5マスに混合される請求項7の組成物。
- 第3マスは、硝酸塩、硫酸塩及びクロム(III)のフッ化物からなる群から選択される請求項7の組成物。
- 表面を被覆あるいは仕上げ又は被覆及び仕上げの双方を行う方法であって、該表面は、金属の少なくとも1つの部位、下地の金属基体上を被覆する少なくとも1つの部位又は少なくとも1つの金属部位及び少なくとも1つの下地の金属基体上を被覆する部位の双方を含み、該方法は、
(I)被覆あるいは仕上げ又は被覆及び仕上げの双方を行う表面を、請求項1の組成物の層で被覆し、及び(II)工程(I)で形成した層を乾燥して被覆表面を形成することを含む方法。 - 表面が、ベア金属の少なくとも1つの部位及び下地金属基体を覆う被膜の少なくとも1つの部位を含み、工程(I)において、液状層をベア金属の少なくとも1つの部位を覆って形成する請求項11の方法。
- 工程(I)で用いられる液状組成物において、フルオロメタレートアニオンは、フルオロチタネート及びフルオロジルコネートアニオンからなる群から選択される請求項11の方法。
- 工程(I)で用いられる液状組成物において、フルオロメタレートアニオンが、フルオロジルコネートアニオンを含み、フルオロジルコネートアニオンの濃度が、1〜10g/kgの範囲であり、クロム(III)イオンの濃度が6g/lより高く、100g/l以下である請求項11の方法。
- 表面が、下地金属基体を覆う被膜の少なくとも1つの部位に隣接するベア金属の少なくとも1つの部位を含み、
前記下地金属基体を覆う被膜の少なくとも1つの部位が第1部位及び第2部位を含み、
工程(I)において、液状層が、ベア金属の部位及び下地金属基体を覆う被膜の隣接部位の少なくとも第1の部位の双方の上に形成され、
下地金属基体を覆う被膜は、リン酸塩化成被膜、クロム酸塩化成被膜及び鉄、チタン、アルミニウム、マグネシウム及び/又は亜鉛並びにそれらの合金から主としてなる表面に、少なくとも1つのフルオロチタネート及びフルオロジルコネートを含む酸性処理溶液に接触させることによって形成された化成被膜から選択される請求項14の方法。 - 工程(I)で用いられる液状組成物において、フルオロメタレートアニオンがフルオロジルコネートアニオンを含み、
フルオロジルコネートアニオンの濃度が、1〜8g/kgの範囲であり、
クロムフッ化物の濃度が4g/l〜100g/lの範囲であり、
フッ化水素酸の濃度が、0.70〜1.3ppt(千分率)の範囲である請求項13の方法。 - 請求項11の被覆表面を含む少なくとも1つの部位を備える製品。
- 少なくとも1つの部位がアルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を含む請求項17の製品。
- 被覆表面が、六価クロムフリーであり、少なくとも336時間、ASTMB−117に従って95°Fにて5%中性塩水噴霧に付した際に、3ピット/24インチ2以下で生じる程度の耐食性を有する請求項17の製品。
- 金属表面の被覆用組成物であって、
該組成物は、
水及び
(A)0.4g/kg〜4.5g/kgの範囲で存在するヘキサフルオロジルコネートアニオン成分、
(B)6.0g/l〜50.0g/lの量で存在する水溶性フッ化クロム成分を含み、
前記三価クロム対ジルコニウムの比が7〜25の範囲であり、前記組成物は、実質的に六価クロム及びリンフリーであり、pH2.1以上、4.4以下、少なくとも2週間、20〜27℃の温度で貯蔵安定性である金属表面の被覆用組成物。
