Description
本願は、参照することをもってその開示内容の全てを本明細書の一部とする2004年2月27日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/548,301号の優先権を主張するものである。
本発明は、外科器具に関連し、詳細には、超音波外科鋏に関連する。
超音波外科鋏を含む超音波外科器具が知られている。この超音外科波鋏は、超音波外科ブレード、このブレードに対して開閉動作可能なクランプアーム、およびこのクランプアームに取り付けられ、かつクランプ面を有するポリテトラフルオロエチレン組織パッドを含む。このクランプアームは、組織パッドのクランプ面とブレードとの間に配置される血管に対して締付力を加える。超音波振動する超音波外科ブレードと血管に対する締付圧力により、血管の接合(血管の壁部同士を近づける)、接合した血管の横切(切断)、および血管の切断した両端部の凝固(シーリング)が行われる。組織の横切の終了時に、ブレードが組織パッドに対して振動することによって生じる摩擦磨耗(frictional abrasion)および摩擦熱のために、超音波振動する超音波外科ブレードが、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン組織パッドの一部に接触して切断する。典型的な装置が、参照することをもってその開示内容の全てを本明細書の一部とする米国特許第5,322,055号および同第6,325,811号に開示されている。
本発明の超音波外科鋏組織パッドの第1の実施形態は、基材、およびこの基材とは異なる材料である少なくとも1つの充填材を有する超音波外科鋏組織パッド本体を含む。

(2)実施態様(1)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記少なくとも1つの充填材の少なくとも1つの特性の値が、前記基材の前記少なくとも1つ特性の値とは異なっており、
前記少なくとも1つの特性が、硬度、剛性、潤滑性、動摩擦係数、熱伝導係数、磨耗性(abradability)、熱たわみ温度、および融解温度からなる群から選択される、
超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(3)実施態様(1)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記基材が、260℃(華氏500度)よりも高い熱たわみ温度を有する、超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(4)実施態様(1)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記基材が、371℃(華氏700度)よりも高い融解温度を有する、超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(5)実施態様(1)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記基材が、44,640kgs/m(30,000lb/ft sec)よりも高い圧力‐速度値で、0.3よりも小さい動摩擦係数を有する、超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
前記基材が、熱硬化プラスチック材料から本質的に構成される、超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(7)実施態様(6)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記基材が、ポリイミド材料から本質的に構成される、超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(8)超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
隣接する第1の領域および第2の領域を有する超音波外科鋏組織パッド本体を含み、
前記第1の領域が、第1の材料を含み、
前記第2の領域が、前記第1の材料とは異なる材料である第2の材料を含む、
超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(9)実施態様(8)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記第1の領域が、前記第1の材料から本質的に構成され、
前記第2の領域が、前記第2の材料から本質的に構成される、
超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(10)実施態様(8)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記第1の材料の少なくとも1つの特性の値が、前記第2の材料の前記少なくとも1つの特性の値とは異なっており、
前記少なくとも1つの特性が、硬度、剛性、潤滑性、動摩擦係数、熱伝導係数、磨耗性(abradability)、熱たわみ温度、および融解温度からなる群から選択される、
超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
前記第1の材料が、260℃(華氏500度)よりも高い熱たわみ温度を有する、超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(12)実施態様(8)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、
前記第1の材料が、371℃(華氏700度)よりも高い融解温度を有する、超音波外科鋏組織パッド。
(13)実施態様(8)に記載の超音波外科鋏組織パッドにおいて、

(17)超音波外科鋏において、
(a)超音波外科ブレードと、
(b)前記超音波外科ブレードに対して開閉動作可能であって、横方向に弾性的に柔軟な遠位端部を有するクランプアームと、
を含む、超音波外科鋏。
(18)実施態様(17)に記載の超音波外科鋏において、
(c)組織パッドであって、前記クランプアームに取り付けられ、かつクランプ面を有し、前記組織パッドの少なくとも一部が、前記クランプ面に対して実質的に垂直方向に弾性的に柔軟である、前記組織パッド、
をさらに含む、超音波外科鋏。
(19)実施態様(18)に記載の超音波外科鋏において、

前記第2の領域が、前記第1の材料とは異なる材料である第2の材料を含む、
超音波外科鋏。
(a)超音波外科ブレードと、
(b)前記ブレードに対して開閉動作可能なクランプアームと、

(23)実施態様(21)に記載の超音波外科鋏において、

前記第1の領域が、第1の材料を含み、
前記第2の領域が、前記第1の材料とは異なる材料である第2の材料を含む、
超音波外科鋏。
Claims (3)
- 超音波外科鋏において、
(a)超音波外科ブレードと、
(b)前記超音波外科ブレードに対して開閉動作可能なクランプアームであって、前記超音波外科ブレードおよびクランプアームにより組織を締め付ける際に弾性的に曲がることができる遠位端部であり、全面にわたってより均一に負荷を分配するために横断方向に弾性的に柔軟な遠位端部を有するクランプアームと、
(c)組織パッドであって、前記クランプアームの前記遠位端部に取り付けられ、かつクランプ面を有し、前記組織パッドの少なくとも一部が、前記クランプ面に対して実質的に垂直方向に弾性的に柔軟である、前記組織パッドと、
を含む、超音波外科鋏。 - 請求項1に記載の超音波外科鋏において、
前記組織パッドが、基材および少なくとも1つの充填材を含む組織パッド本体を含み、
前記少なくとも1つの充填材の少なくとも1つの特性の値が、前記基材の前記少なくとも1つの特性の値とは異なっており、
前記少なくとも1つの特性が、硬度、剛性、潤滑性、動摩擦係数、熱伝導係数、磨耗性(abradability)、熱たわみ温度、および融解温度からなる群から選択される、
