- 液晶表示パネルと、互いに異なる色の光を発して前記液晶表示パネルを照明する複数の発光素子と、前記照明光を前記液晶表示パネルに反射させる偏光部材と、前記偏光部材を透過した前記照明光の色度を検出し、色度データを出力する検出手段と、前記色度データに基づいて前記発光素子に供給する電力を調整する制御手段と、を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 液晶表示パネルと、
第一の色を有する第一の光を発する第一の発光素子及び第二の色を有する第二の光を発する第二の発光素子を備え、前記第一の光及び前記第二の光を含む照明光で前記液晶表示パネルを照明する照明手段と、
前記照明光を前記液晶表示パネルに反射させる偏光部材と、
前記偏光部材を透過した前記照明光を検出し、色度データを出力する検出手段と、
前記色度データに基づいて前記第一の発光素子及び前記第二の発光素子の少なくとも一方に供給する電力を調整する制御手段と、
を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記偏光部材は、ワイヤグリッド偏光板からなることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
