通常の動作信号に基づく動作性能を示す(システムのユーザの「通常の」使用によって生成される)観測動作データ、および/または
動作性能を示す(システム上で通常行われる試験によって生成される)試験データ、および/または
刺激信号に基づく動作性能を示す(xDSLシステムを刺激することによって生成される)誘導動作データ
などといったシステム性能の様々な指標に基づくものとすることができる。
(式中、dB単位のGapは(9.5+TSNRM−CODEGAIN)であり、SNR[n]≒10Gap/10×2(2B[n])−1はADSL2モデムにおいては報告され、ADSL1モデムにおいては、過去または現在の報告されたビット配分B[n]から計算され得る)。SNRは、初期PSD、Hlogおよび/またはQLNを使って算出され、または推論され得る。PSD=REFPSD+G[n](式中、G[n]はdB単位の知られている、または推定された利得テーブル値である)であり、REFPSD=NOMPSD−PCBである。G[n]は、ADSL1モデムでは、普通、−2.5dB<G[n]<2.5dBを満たすが、報告されないこともあるため、G[n]は、普通、2つの隣接するトーン間のよりビット数の大きいトーン上では−2.5dBに近く、普通、2つの隣接するトーン間のよりビット数の小さいトーン上では+2.5dBに近い、B[n]テーブルの変化を探すことによって推定され得る。
Claims (18)
- 1つ以上のモデルパラメータに対して1つ以上のモデルパラメータ値の組を含むDSLシステムのモデルを生成する方法であって、
複数のデータ状態に対する動作データを生成するように前記DSLシステムを誘導するステップであって、前記複数のデータ状態の各々に対する動作データを生成するように前記DSLシステムを誘導することは、
前記モデルパラメータを選択し、
選択された前記モデルパラメータに基づいて前記DSLシステムに対する動作モードを設定し、且つ
前記動作データを生成するために設定された前記動作モードを用いて前記DSLシステムを動作させることを含むステップと、
生成された前記動作データを収集するステップと、
収集された前記動作データと1つ以上の以前のモデルパラメータ値とを比較して1つ以上のモデルパラメータ値を生成するステップと、
1つ以上の生成された前記モデルパラメータ値をメモリに記録又は記憶するステップと
を含む方法。 - 収集された前記動作データと1つ以上の以前のモデルパラメータ値との比較に基づいて、前記モデルパラメータ値を変更するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。

前記信号生成器に結合されて、前記DSLシステムによって生成される動作データを収集するように構成されるハードウェアモジュールを備える収集手段と、
前記収集手段に結合されて、収集された前記動作データと1つ以上の以前のモデルパラメータ値との比較に基づいて1つ以上のDSLシステムのモデルパラメータ値を生成するように構成されるハードウェアモジュールを備え、且つ1つ以上の生成されたモデルパラメータ値をメモリに記録または記憶するようにさらに構成される推定手段と
を備え、
前記推定器は、複数のデータ状態について動作データを生成するように前記DSLシステムを誘導するように構成され、
動作データを生成するように前記DSLシステムを誘導することは、前記モデルパラメータを選択し、選択された前記モデルパラメータに基づいて前記DSLシステムに対する動作モードを設定することを含み、
設定された前記動作モードを用いて前記DSLシステムを動作させることが前記動作データを生成する、DSLシステム推定器。 - 1つ以上のモデルパラメータに対して1つ以上のモデルパラメータ値の組を含むDSLシステムのモデルを生成する命令が記憶されるコンピュータ可読媒体であって、前記命令は、
複数のデータ状態に対する動作データを生成するように前記DSLシステムを誘導する命令であって、前記データ状態の各々に対する動作データを生成するように前記DSLシステムを誘導することは、
前記モデルパラメータを選択し、
選択された前記モデルパラメータに基づいて前記DSLシステムに対する動作モードを設定し、且つ
前記動作データを生成するために設定された前記動作モードを用いて前記DSLシステムを動作させることを含む命令と、
生成された前記動作データを収集する命令と、
収集された前記動作データと1つ以上の以前のモデルパラメータ値との比較に基づいて1つ以上のモデルパラメータ値を生成する命令と、
1つ以上の生成された前記モデルパラメータ値をメモリに記録又は記憶する命令と
を含む、コンピュータ可読媒体。 - fは、各キャリアマスクにおける唯一の周波数であり、対応する受信された前記減衰値は、fに対する前記回線の挿入損失である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記データ搬送周波数のキャリアマスクは、fの下限を有する周波数帯域を含み、さらに、受信された前記減衰値は、fに対する前記回線の挿入損失の近似値である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 受信された減衰値に基づいて前記DSLシステム全体の使用可能な周波数範囲に対するチャネル伝達関数の近似値を求めるステップをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記回線に対して、QLN、MSE、またはSNRの値の少なくとも1つを決定するステップと、
前記回線に対して、Hlog、QLN、MSE、またはSNRの値の少なくとも1つに基づいて前記DSLシステムの一部の動作モードを設定または推奨するステップと
をさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。 - 前記異なる周波数のキャリアマスクの各々に関連付けられる前記周波数fの関数として受信された前記減衰値をグラフ化するステップをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
