Description
(a)エポキシ樹脂および潜在性硬化剤を含有し、100℃におけるゲル化時間が3分以下を示す熱硬化性樹脂組成物を、前記第1の基板表面の周辺部において基板表面を囲むシール領域に塗布する工程と、
(b)前記第1の基板表面において前記シール領域に囲まれる中央領域に液晶を滴下する工程と、
(c)前記第1の基板に前記第2の基板を重ね合わせる工程と、
(d)前記熱硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させる加熱工程と
を有することを特徴とする方法。
(a)第1の基板表面の周辺部において基板表面を囲むシール領域に、液状の熱硬化性樹脂組成物を塗布する工程、
(b)前記第1の基板表面において前記シール領域に囲まれる中央領域に液晶を滴下する工程、
(c)前記第1の基板に前記第2の基板を重ね合わせる工程と、および
(d)前記熱硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させる加熱工程
を有する。
;水素化ビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂(ビスフェノールA型エポキシ樹脂、ビスフェノールF型エポキシ樹脂およびビスフェノールS型エポキシ樹脂等のビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂のベンゼン環が水素化されたもの);ジシクロペンタジエンフェノールノボラックのグリシジルエーテル等のジシクロペンタジエン型エポキシ樹脂;シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテル(cyclohexanedimethanol diglycidyl ether)、ブチルグリシジルエーテル、2−エチルヘキシルグリシジルエーテル、アリルグリシジルエーテル等の脂肪族アルキル−モノまたはジ−グリシジルエーテル;グリシジルメタクリレート、3級カルボン酸グリシジルエステル等のアルキルグリシジルエステル;スチレンオキサイド;フェニルグリシジルエーテル、クレジルグリシジルエーテル、p−s−ブチルフェニルグリシジルエーテル、ノニルフェニルグリシジルエーテル等の芳香族アルキルモノグリシジルエーテル;テトラヒドロフルフリルアルコールグリシジルエーテル等を挙げることができる。
2−ヘプタデシルイミダゾール、1−シアノエチル−2−ウンデシルイミダゾリウム・トリメリート、2,4−ジアミノ−6−〔2−メチルイミダゾリル−(1)〕−エチル−S−トリアジン、1−ドデシル−2−メチル−3−ベンジルイミダゾリウムクロライド、2−フェニルイミダゾリウムイソシアヌレート、2−フェニル−4−メチル−5−ヒドロキシメチルイミダゾール等のイミダゾール類;
三フッ化ホウ素−アミンコンプレックス;
ジシアンジアミド、およびo−トリルビグアニド、α−2,5−メチルビグアニド等のジシアンジアミドの誘導体;
コハク酸ジヒドラジド、アジピン酸ジヒドラジド等の有機酸ヒドラジド;
ジアミノマレオニトリルおよびその誘導体;
メラミンおよびジアリルメラミン等のメラミン誘導体を挙げることができる。

実施例および比較例で用いた各材料は次の通りである。
EH4357 株式会社アデカ製 変性ポリアミン系潜在性硬化剤;
EH4070S 株式会社アデカ製 変性ポリアミン系潜在性硬化剤;
アミキュア PN−23 味の素株式会社製;
ノバキュア(Novacure) HX−3722 旭化成エポキシ株式会社製。
エポキシ樹脂RE−310S(日本化薬株式会社製)64.5部と潜在性硬化剤EH−4357S(株式会社ADEKA製)35.5部を撹拌混合した後、セラミックス3本ロールミルにて分散させて、実施例1の樹脂組成物を得た。
エポキシ樹脂RE−310S(日本化薬株式会社製)64.5部と潜在性硬化剤EH−4070S(株式会社ADEKA製)35.5部を撹拌混合した後、セラミックス3本ロールミルにて分散させて、実施例2の樹脂組成物を得た。
エポキシ樹脂RE−310S(日本化薬株式会社製)83.3部と潜在性硬化剤アミキュアPN−23(味の素ファインテクノ株式会社製)16.7部を撹拌混合した後、セラミックス3本ロールミルにて分散させて、比較例1の樹脂組成物を得た。
エポキシ樹脂RE−310S(日本化薬株式会社製)76.9部と潜在性硬化剤ノバキュアHX−3722(旭化成エポキシ株式会社製)23.1部を撹拌混合した後、セラミックス3本ロールミルにて分散させて、比較例2の樹脂組成物を得た。
上記実施例および比較例の樹脂組成物の特性を次のようにして測定した。測定結果を表1に示す。
Claims (5)
- 第1の基板と第2の基板の間に液晶層を有する液晶表示装置を、液晶滴下工法により製造する方法であって、
(a)エポキシ樹脂および潜在性硬化剤を含有し、100℃におけるゲル化時間が3分以下を示す熱硬化性樹脂組成物を、前記第1の基板表面の周辺部において基板表面を囲むシール領域に塗布する工程と、
(b)前記第1の基板表面において前記シール領域に囲まれる中央領域に液晶を滴下する工程と、
(c)前記第1の基板に前記第2の基板を重ね合わせる工程と、
(d)前記熱硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させる加熱工程と
を有し、
前記潜在性硬化剤が、変性アミン系潜在性硬化剤から選ばれること
を特徴とする方法。 - 前記(c)重ね合わせる工程が、前記熱硬化性樹脂組成物が流動性を有する状態で行われ、その後、前記(d)加熱工程において加熱することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記(c)重ね合わせる工程が完了する前に、前記(d)加熱工程が開始されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記熱硬化性樹脂組成物が、フィラー、チキソ性付与剤およびシランカップリング剤からなる群より選ばれる添加剤をさらに含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記エポキシ樹脂が、ビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂、ノボラック型エポキシ樹脂およびビフェニル型エポキシ樹脂からなる群より選ばれるエポキシ樹脂を含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
