Description
実施例1
サンプル1および2用の製造態様A
a)基材の分級
粗雲母をエッジミル中で細かく粉砕し、デカンターを用いて、粒径および粒子型の異なる種々のフラクションに分級する。フラクションを粒径と共に表1に列挙するが、粒子数について測定した80μm2未満および40μm2未満の薄片状粒子に基づく細粒子含量および数重み平均粒子面積F50により特徴付けられる。
表1の雲母100gを、脱イオン水1900ml中に懸濁させ、塩酸でpH2.1に調節する。この懸濁液中に、SnCl4水溶液(50重量%)191.8g、HCl(37重量%)56mlおよびSbCl3水溶液(35重量%)20.4gの混合物を、攪拌下に、75℃で7時間かかって連続的に計量添加する。水酸化ナトリウム溶液を同時に制御下に計量添加することによりpHを一定に維持する。合計で290mlの溶液を添加したときに、混合物を75℃でさらに30分間攪拌し、続いて、攪拌下に室温まで冷却し、反応混合物をpH3に調節する。得られた顔料を、吸引フィルターを介して濾過除去し、水洗し、140℃で乾燥し、800℃で30分間焼成して、淡灰色顔料粉末158gを得る。被覆中のSn:Sb比は約92:8である。
実施例2
サンプル1および2用の製剤形態B
a)導電性層での基材の被覆
細粒子含量の高い粉砕雲母を、実施例1b)と同様にして導電性アンチモン-酸化スズで被覆する。
このように得られた粗顔料21kgを、空気分級により分級する。細粒子、好ましくは粒子面積が80μm2未満の細粒子3kgを、このプロセスにおいて分離除去する。表1の顔料18kgを得る。
サンプル3および4を、実施例1と同様にして、導電性アンチモン-酸化スズでの対応する被覆により調製する。
表1のサンプルを、NCラッカー(溶媒混合物中、6%のコロジウムおよび6%のアクリル酸ブチル−ビニルイソブチルエーテルコポリマー)中に分散させる。ガラス板に、ラッカー調合物を被覆する。一枚のガラス板に、顔料を用いないラッカーを被覆する。乾燥ラッカー層中の導電性顔料の濃度は48重量%であり、層厚は40μmである。ラッカー層の乾燥後、スプリング-タング電極を利用してDIN 53482に従って漏出抵抗を測定する。結果を表1に示す。導電性顔料を含まない比較用ラッカーフィルム(サンプル5)は、抵抗が107キロオームより大きい。
表1の顔料を、NCラッカー(溶媒混合物中、6%のコロジウムおよび6%のアクリル酸ブチル-ビニルイソブチルエーテルコポリマー)中に分散させる。PETフィルム(厚さ100μm)に、ハンドコーターを用いてラッカー製剤を被覆する。乾燥層の層厚は60μmであり、ラッカー中の顔料の濃度は、バインダーを基準に14重量%である。曇りを決めるために、被覆フィルムを、積算球(直径150mm)を用いてUV-VIS-IR分光計(モデル: Perkin Elmer Lambda 900)において測定する。サンプルの全透過率(拡散+直接透過)および拡散透過率を測定する。全透過率に対する拡散透過率の割合が、サンプルの曇りの測定値である。サンプルの比較のために、曇り係数(H)を決め、下記式に従って、全透過率(Ttot)に対する拡散透過率(Td)の%として定義される。
透過率を、スペクトル範囲400〜700nmで測定する。結果を表1に示す。これらは、本発明の顔料を含む被覆のみが、良好な導電性および低い曇り、すなわち改良された透明性を示すことを示している。
Claims (13)
- 導電性層で被覆された雲母からなる薄片状基材を含んでなる透明導電性顔料であって、該透明導電性顔料の数重み平均粒子面積F50が150μm2以上であり、粒子面積が80μm2未満である顔料の割合が、透明導電性顔料を基準に33%以下であり、ここで粒子面積は、薄片の最も長い軸を有する主要面の大きさを意味することを特徴とする透明導電性顔料。
- 前記透明導電性顔料の数重み平均粒子面積F50が200μm2以上である請求項1に記載の透明導電性顔料。
- 粒子面積が40μm2未満である顔料の割合が、透明導電性顔料を基準に15%以下である請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の透明導電性顔料。
- 導電性層が一以上のドープされた金属酸化物を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の透明導電性顔料。
- 導電性層の金属酸化物が酸化スズ、酸化亜鉛、酸化インジウムおよび/または酸化チタンである請求項4に記載の透明導電性顔料。
- 金属酸化物を含む導電性層が、ガリウム、アルミニウム、インジウム、タリウム、ゲルマニウム、スズ、リン、ヒ素、アンチモン、セレン、テルルおよび/またはフッ素がドープされている請求項4または5に記載の透明導電性顔料。
- 金属酸化物、金属酸化物水和物、金属亜酸化物、金属フッ化物、金属窒化物、金属オキシ窒化物またはこれらの材料の混合物を含む一以上の層が導電性層の上および/または下に配されている請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の透明導電性顔料。
- 請求項1に記載の透明導電性顔料を製造する方法であって、薄片状基材に導電性層を被覆することを含む方法において、導電性層での被覆の前および/または後に、粒子面積が150μm2未満である透明導電性顔料または薄片状基材の割合を低下させ、それにより、透明導電性顔料の数重み平均粒子面積F50が150μm2以上で、粒子面積が80μm2未満である顔料の割合を、透明導電性顔料を基準に33%以下とし、細粒子の割合の低下を、沈降、傾しゃ、空気分級および/または篩い分けにより行い、該割合の低下は、顕微鏡下で視覚により、またはビデオカメラおよび自動画像分析ソフトを用いて自動的に測定され、粒子の大きさの分析は、少なくとも1000粒子に基づきなされることを特徴とする方法。
- 導電性層での薄片状基材の被覆を、湿式化学法により行う請求項8に記載の方法。
- 導電性層での薄片状基材の被覆の前および/または後に、金属酸化物、金属酸化物水和物、金属亜酸化物、金属フッ化物、金属窒化物、金属オキシ窒化物またはこれらの材料の混合物を含む一以上の層を被覆する請求項8または9に記載の方法。
- 単一または複数の層の被覆を、湿式化学法、ゾル-ゲルプロセスまたはCVDおよび/またはPVDプロセスにより行う請求項10に記載の方法。
- 塗料、被覆、印刷インク、プラスチック、証券用途、床被覆、フィルム、調合物、セラミック材料、ガラスまたは紙における、レーザーマーキングのための、熱保護における、乾燥調合物における、または顔料組成物における、請求項1に記載の透明導電性顔料の使用。
- 顔料が、有機または無機着色剤および/または導電性材料との混合物の状態である請求項12に記載の使用。
