Description
図1の無線アクセス・ネットワーク111内のアクセス・ポイント181と182が、それぞれ、チャネル#1とチャネル#6を使用しており、アクセス・ポイント184がオフ・ラインのままであると仮定する。更に、アクセス・ポイント183が、丁度今、動作を開始して、本発明の原理に従うチャネル選択方法を実施する唯一のアクセス・ポイントであると仮定する。本チャネル選択方法の実施に於いて、アクセス・ポイント183が採用する各種値は、channel_min=1、channel_max=11、channel_step=5、time_min=500、および、time_max=1000でchannel_minとchannel_maxの測定単位はミリ秒であると仮定する。また、アクセス・ポイント183は、前に使用したチャネルについての情報を何も記憶していないと仮定する。本発明の原理のチャネル選択方法に従えば、アクセス・ポイント183は、先ず、以下の関係式に従って、現在のチャネルを選択する。
無線アクセス・ネットワーク111内のアクセス・ポイント181、182および183が、それぞれ、チャネル#1、チャネル#6およびチャネル#11を使用していると仮定する。更に、同じ無線アクセス・ネットワーク内のアクセス・ポイント184が、丁度今、動作を開始して、本発明の原理に従うチャネル選択方法を実施すると仮定する。このチャネル選択方法の実施に於いて、アクセス・ポイント184が採用する各パラメータ値は、channel_min = 1、 channel_max = 11、 channel_step = 5、 time_min=500、および、time_max=1000であると仮定する。また、アクセス・ポイント184は、前に使用したチャネルについての情報を何も記憶していないと仮定する。
この例では、無線アクセス・ネットワーク111内の2つのアクセス・ポイント、例えばアクセス・ポイント182と183が同時に起動し、一方、同じ無線アクセス・ネットワーク内の別のアクセス・ポイント、例えばアクセス・ポイント181が、現在、チャネル#1を使用していると仮定する。アクセス・ポイント182と183が使用する各パラメータ値は、共に、channel_min = 1、 channel_max = 11、 channel_step = 5、 time_min=500、および、time_max=1000であると仮定する。また、アクセス・ポイント182と183は、何れも前に使用したチャネルについての情報を記憶していないと仮定する。
Claims (2)
- 無線アクセス・ネットワーク内のアクセス・ポイント用の無線周波数チャネルを、複数の利用可能なチャネルから選択する方法であって、
(a)チャネルを前記複数のチャネルからランダムに選択するステップと、
(b)前記選択されたチャネルをランダム期間の間モニタして、前記選択されたチャネルが、現在、トラフィックを伝送しているか否かを決定するステップと、
(c)前記選択されたチャネルが、現在、トラフィックを伝送していない場合、前記アクセス・ポイントによって前記選択されたチャネルに対してトラフィックの伝送を要求するステップと、
を含む、前記方法。 - 無線アクセス・ネットワーク内のアクセス・ポイントによって使用される無線周波数チャネルを、複数の利用可能なチャネルから選択する装置であって、
(a)チャネルを前記複数の利用可能なチャネルからランダムに選択する手段と、
(b)前記選択されたチャネルをランダム期間の間モニタして、前記選択されたチャネルが、現在、トラフィックを伝送しているか否かを決定する手段と、
(c)前記選択されたチャネルが、現在、トラフィックを伝送していない場合、アクセス・ポイントが前記選択されたチャネルに対してトラフィックの伝送を要求する手段と、
を備える、前記装置。
