Abstract
上記課題を解決する本発明の角形二次電池(C1)は、角形の電池缶(1)と、電池缶(1)の開口部(1a)を封止する電池蓋(6)とを有している。そして、電池蓋(6)は、電池缶(1)内に突出して電池缶(1)の側壁部(21)の内面に対向し側壁部(21)の周方向に沿って全周に亘って連続する凸部(51)を有している。そして、電池蓋(6)は、凸部(51)よりも外側で電池缶(1)の側壁部(21)の上端に当接する当接部(52)の蓋厚さ(Tu)が、凸部(51)よりも内側で開口部(1a)を閉塞する閉塞部(54)の蓋厚さ(Tt)の半分よりも厚くかつ閉塞部(54)の蓋厚さTtよりも薄い厚さを有している。

Claims (5)
- 底を形成する矩形の底壁部と、側壁を形成する角筒状の側壁部と、該側壁部の上端で上方に向かって開放された開口部とを有する角形の電池缶と、該電池缶の側壁部の上端に溶接されて前記開口部を封止する電池蓋と、を有する角形二次電池であって、
前記電池蓋は、
前記開口部を閉塞する閉塞部と、
該閉塞部よりも外側で全周に亘って連続して前記側壁部の上端に当接する当接部と、
前記閉塞部から前記底壁部に向かって突出する凸部と、を有し、
前記当接部の蓋厚さが前記閉塞部の蓋厚さよりも薄く、
前記凸部は、前記当接部を形成する際に生じる余肉を用いて形成され、前記側壁部の内面に沿って全周に亘って連続することを特徴とする角形二次電池。 - 前記電池蓋は、前記凸部の内周に沿って前記電池蓋の内面に設けられた溝部を有し、
前記凸部は、前記当接部を形成する際に生じる余肉に加え、前記当接部と前記溝部を形成する際に生じる余肉を用いて形成されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の角形二次電池。 - 前記当接部と前記側壁部は、前記電池缶の側方からレーザ溶接されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の角形二次電池。
- 前記側壁部の上端は、第一の面と該第一の面よりも低い位置に設けられた第二の面から構成され、
前記第二の面は、前記第一の面よりも前記電池缶の内周側に周状に連続して設けられ、
前記当接部は、前記第二の面に当接し、
前記電池蓋は、前記側壁部の内側に嵌入していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の角形二次電池。 - 前記第一の面と前記当接部との間は、前記電池缶の上方からレーザ溶接されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の角形二次電池。
