Description
天然黒鉛粒子(日立化成工業社製、商品名「HG−706」)90.0質量部、導電助剤としてのアセチレンブラック2質量部、及び、バインダとしてのPVdF8質量部を、プラネタリーミキサーにて混合分散した後に、N−メチル−2−ピロリドンで粘度調整して、ゴーリンホモジナイザーで混合分散処理してスラリーを調製し、このスラリーを負極集電体としての銅箔(厚さ:15μm)の一方面上に塗布し、乾燥させた。同様に銅箔の反対面上にスラリーを塗布し、乾燥させた後に、ロールプレスを施して、銅箔の両面のそれぞれに厚さ85μmの負極活物質層を形成した。
表1に示すD50及びアスペクト比を有するシリコーン樹脂粒子(MOMENTIVE PERFORMANCE MATERIALS社製、実施例2は商品名「トスパール」、実施例3〜7は商品名「XC99−A8808」より、表1中のD50の値の粒子を分級採取)を用いたことを除き、実施例1と同様にして負極を作製した。
シリコーン樹脂粒子の代わりに、D50:2.0μm、アスペクト比:1.03のポリエチレン(PE)粒子(住友精化株式会社製、商品名「フロービーズLEシリーズ」よりD50:2.0μmの粒子を分級採取)を用いて、厚さ2.0μmの負極保護層を形成したことを除き、実施例1と同様にして負極を作製した。
シリコーン樹脂粒子の代わりに、D50:2.0μm、アスペクト比:1.03のPTFE粒子(SHAMROCK社製、商品名「SSTシリーズ」)を用いて、厚さ2.0μmの負極保護層を形成したことを除き、実施例1と同様にして負極を作製した。
シリコーン樹脂粒子の代わりに、D50:2.0μm、アスペクト比:1.86のアルミナ粒子(住友化学社製、商品名「ALシリーズ」)を用いて、厚さ2.0〜4.0μmの負極保護層を形成したことを除き、実施例1と同様にして負極を作製した。
上記リチウムイオン二次電池について、1C(25℃で定電流放電を行ったときに1時間で放電終了となる電流値)での放電容量と、5C(25℃で定電流放電を行ったときに0.2時間で放電終了となる電流値)での放電容量とを測定し、レート特性(5Cでの放電容量/1Cでの放電容量)を求めた。その結果を表1に示す。
2Cでの定電流充電の後、10Vに到達したら定電圧充電を45分行い、試験後のセルの状態(電池内部における溶融や熱分解に起因するセルの破裂の有無)を目視にて観察した。結果を表1に示す。
Claims (5)
- 互いに対向する一対の電極と、
前記電極間に配置されたセパレータと、を備え、
前記電極の少なくとも一方は、前記セパレータ側から順に、保護層、活物質含有層、及び、集電体を有し、
前記保護層は、RSiO1.5及びR2SiO(式中、Rは炭素数1〜6のアルキル基又はフェニル基)の少なくとも一方の構造単位を有するシリコーン樹脂粒子を含む、リチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記シリコーン樹脂粒子の平均粒径は、0.3〜6.0μmである、請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記保護層の厚みは、0.3〜6.0μmである、請求項1又は2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記シリコーン樹脂粒子の短軸径に対する長軸径の比であるアスペクト比は、1.00〜1.50である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記シリコーン樹脂粒子は、ポリメチルシルセスキオキサン粒子である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
