Description
本発明の種々の実施形態は、ネットワークノードを特定の所望のノード構成に効率的かつ動的に適応させる柔軟性を可能にする、事実上モジュール式である新しい伝送アーキテクチャを提供する。
図4は、アーキテクチャがアッド/ドロップノードとして構成される本発明の一実施形態を示す。アッド/ドロップノードは、WDM信号に情報を追加またはそこから情報を分岐する。本情報は、時分割多重化および統計的多重化形式等の多波長および/または波長の一部に含めてもよく、また光および電気の両インターフェース上を通信させてもよい。スイッチング素子440は、複数の電気ラインインターフェース430、445およびクライアント装置に接続する複数の分岐インターフェース435に連結する。該電気ラインインターフェース430、445は、特定の信号方向に応じて、光と電気領域間の信号を変換する変換器に連結される。マルチプレクサ465、470は、光チャネルをWDM光信号に多重化するように提供される。デマルチプレクサ410、480は、WDM光信号を光チャネルに逆多重化するように提供される。

- スイッチング素子と、
複数のモジュールであって、前記複数のモジュールのそれぞれは、複数のモジュール種別のうちの対応する1つを有し、前記複数のモジュールのそれぞれは、光信号をそれに対応する電気信号に変換する光−電気インターフェースを含む、複数のモジュールと、
複数のセンサであって、前記複数のセンサのそれぞれは、前記複数のモジュール種別を感知するように構成されている、複数のセンサと、
前記複数のモジュールのそれぞれおよび前記スイッチング素子に結合された制御素子であって、前記制御素子は、前記感知された複数のモジュール種別に基づいて、複数の経路のそれぞれを識別するように構成されており、前記複数の経路は、第1の複数のモジュールから第2の複数のモジュールまで前記スイッチング素子を介して延びており、前記複数の経路は、光信号に関連付けられたトラフィックを運ぶ、制御素子と
