Description

集尿デバイスまたはシステムの一部分としてポンプが使用できる。尿が集尿システムの収容部に採集できるように、ポンプ、特に流体移送ポンプが流体連結システム内に尿を移動するのを補助できる。たとえば、ポンプは、尿を(たとえばカテーテルに連結された)管を通して、および上述のように尿を採集する必要のある収容部内に移動するのに使用できる。集尿デバイスと共に使用できる適切な収容部には、(上述のような)膨張可能な容器、および(たとえば袋、箱、ポーチ等)膨張不可能な容器が含まれる。
上述のように、集尿システムは一般に、(たとえば対象のカテーテルなどの)対象を尿が採集される収容部に連結できる管を備える。一般に、管はベッド下に縁部を垂れ下げられ、そこで採集の収容部に(たとえば集尿袋)に取り付けられる。収容部は通常、床の上のベッド支持部のうちの1つに掛けられ、カテーテルと収容部の間の落差が重力によって尿を管から袋に移動する。現行の最も多い採集システムは、一般に、全ての寸法およびベッドの長さに対して1つの長さの管を使用するので、余った管はベッドの上または採集袋の周りで巻かれることが多く、それによって尿が溜まる可能性がある領域が形成されるおそれもある。
