Description
Claims (8)
- 側面衝突の発生時に車両の乗員を保護する少なくとも1つの乗員安全装置と、
1つ以上の車両センサから情報を受信して、前記乗員安全装置を作動させるトリガ信号を生成する制御ユニットとを含み、
通常の運転時にはデフォルトの展開アルゴリズムを前記制御ユニットが使用して前記トリガ信号を生成すべきか否かを判定し、
前記車両が制御不能になっていると判定されあるいは制御不能となることが予測され、さらに前記車両の縦速度が第1の閾値を超過した場合には、前記制御ユニットは第1の他の展開アルゴリズムを用いて前記トリガ信号を生成すべきか否かを判定し、第1の他の展開アルゴリズムは、側面衝突の発生後、前記デフォルトの展開アルゴリズムを用いる場合より短い時間で前記トリガ信号を生成させるよう構成されていて、
前記車両の縦速度および横速度の両方がそれぞれの閾値を超過し、該車両が制御不能になっていると判定されあるいは制御不能となることが予測される場合には、前記制御ユニットは、第2の他の展開アルゴリズムを用いて前記トリガ信号を生成するべきか否かを判定し、第2の他の展開アルゴリズムは、側面衝突の発生後、第1の他の展開アルゴリズムを用いる場合より短い時間で前記トリガ信号を生成させるよう構成されていることを特徴とする車両安全システム。 - 請求項1に記載のシステムにおいて、前記車両が制御不能になっていると判定されあるいは制御不能となることが予測されるのは、アンダーステア、オーバーステア、横滑り、衝突回避操作、緊急ブレーキング、および走行中の道路からの前記車両の逸脱のうち、1つ以上が車両に生じていると判定された場合であることを特徴とする車両安全システム。
- 請求項2に記載のシステムにおいて、前記制御ユニットは複数の基準値を備えていて、該基準値は、アンダーステア、オーバーステア、横滑り、衝突回避操作、緊急ブレーキングまたは道路からの逸脱のうち1つ以上が生じているか否かを、前記1つ以上の車両センサで生成される信号から評価するために用いられることを特徴とする車両安全システム。
- 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、予め決定された車両速度の閾値は、5〜20km/hであることを特徴とする車両安全システム。
- 請求項4に記載のシステムにおいて、前記予め決定された閾値は15km/hであることを特徴とする車両安全システム。
- 側面衝突の発生時に車両の乗員を保護する、車両の乗員安全装置の制御方法において、
1つ以上の車両センサから情報を受信する工程と、
前記受信した信号を展開アルゴリズムに従って分析する工程と、
前記乗員安全装置の作動が必要と判定された場合にトリガ信号を生成して該乗員安全装置を作動させる工程とを含み、
通常の運転時にはデフォルトの展開アルゴリズムを使用して前記トリガ信号を生成すべきか否かを決定し、
前記車両が制御不能になっていると判定されあるいは制御不能となることが予測され、さらに該車両の縦速度が第1の閾値を超過した場合には、第1の他の展開アルゴリズムを用いて前記トリガ信号を生成すべきか否かを決定し、第1の他の展開アルゴリズムは、側面衝突の発生後、前記デフォルトの展開アルゴリズムを用いる場合より短い時間で前記トリガ信号を生成させるよう構成されていて、
前記車両の縦速度および横速度の両方がそれぞれの閾値を超過し、該車両が制御不能になっていると判定されあるいは制御不能となることが予測される場合には、第2の他の展開アルゴリズムを用いて前記トリガ信号を生成すべきか否かを決定し、第2の他の展開アルゴリズムは、側面衝突の発生後、第1の他の展開アルゴリズムを用いる場合より短い時間で前記トリガ信号を生成させるよう構成されていることを特徴とする乗員安全装置の制御方法。 - コンピュータ上で実行されたときに請求項6に記載のすべての工程を実行するよう構成されたコンピュータプログラムコードを含むことを特徴とするコンピュータプログラム。
- 請求項7に記載のコンピュータプログラムにおいて、コンピュータで読取可能な媒体に実装されることを特徴とするコンピュータプログラム。
