Claims (2)
- 電解質膜の一方の側にアノード側電極が配設されるとともに、前記電解質膜の他方の側にカソード側電極が配設された電解質膜・電極構造体が、縦長形状を有する一対のセパレータ間に挟持されて水平方向に積層される固体高分子型燃料電池であって、
前記一対のセパレータは、水平方向の面で切った断面が断面凹凸形状に形成され、
一方の前記セパレータのセパレータ面に沿って重力方向に燃料ガスを流通させる燃料ガス流路と、
前記燃料ガス流路の下端に連通し、複数のエンボスを有する出口バッファ部と、
他方の前記セパレータのセパレータ面に沿って重力方向に酸化剤ガスを流通させる酸化剤ガス流路と、
前記酸化剤ガス流路の下端に連通し、複数のエンボスを有する出口バッファ部と、
を設けるとともに、
前記アノード側電極及び前記カソード側電極は、それぞれ前記電解質膜に対向する面に触媒塗布領域を有し、一方の前記触媒塗布領域の下端位置と、他方の前記触媒塗布領域の下端位置とは、互いに重力方向にずれて配置され、
前記アノード側電極及び前記カソード側電極は、それぞれ重力方向中心位置から上方側の前記触媒塗布領域が、下方側の前記触媒塗布領域よりも広く設定され、前記燃料ガス流路及び前記酸化剤ガス流路の下端よりも上方に離間する位置に、前記触媒塗布領域の下端が終端するように構成されることを特徴とする固体高分子型燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の固体高分子型燃料電池において、前記アノード側電極及び前記カソード側電極は、それぞれ前記触媒塗布領域の上端位置が、前記酸化剤ガス流路及び前記燃料ガス流路の上端位置と同一位置に設定されることを特徴とする固体高分子型燃料電池。
