前記第一画像信号入力部で受けた画像信号に含まれる情報を利用して、走行路におけるカーブの曲率を算出する第一変数群算出部と、
前記第二画像信号入力部で受けた画像信号に含まれる情報を利用して、複数の車両用道路標示間の間隔および該複数の車両用道路標示に対する自車の車幅方向の相対位置、走行路面からの自車の上下方向の距離、自車のピッチング方向の変位量、および、自車のヨー方向の変位量を算出する第二変数群算出部と、
前記第一変数群算出部の算出結果と前記第二変数群算出部の算出結果とに含まれる情報を利用して、自車に対する車両用道路標示の位置を認識し該認識を表す認識データを得る車両用道路標示認識処理部と、
前記第一撮像対象領域に対応する画像信号を取得して前記第一画像信号入力部に供給する第一撮像手段と、
前記第二撮像対象領域に対応する画像信号を取得して前記第二画像信号入力部に供給する第二撮像手段と、
