ペルオキシド又はα−ジケトンによる開始の促進のために、特に芳香族アミンとの組合せが適している。促進剤として、さらにレドックス系、特にベンゾイルペルオキシド、ラウロイルペルオキシド又はカンファーキノンとアミン、例えばN,N−ジメチル−p−トルイジン、N,N−ジヒドロキシエチル−p−トルイジン、p−ジメチルアミノ安息香酸エチルエステル又は構造が類似したアミンとからなる組合せを使用することができる。
オルガノゾルの製造
「SiO2(13nm)40質量%を有するUDMA」のシラン化
a) ナノ粒子のシラン化
13nmの平均粒子径のSiO2のコロイド溶液(イソプロパノール中SiO2 30質量%)のHighlink(R) OG 502-31 (Clariant社)120gから出発して、ガンマ−メタクリルオキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン(A174)5.36gを添加し、かつ室温で2分間撹拌した。引き続き、0.5n HCl 1.17gを添加し、この混合物を室温で6時間撹拌した。こうして得られたゾルはSiO2粒子28.4質量%を含有していた。[当初のゾルは、表面改質の際に水及びシランによって30質量%から28.4質量%に希釈された。このシラン化されたオルガノゾルから、表面改質されたSiO2だけを下方の混合でモノマーと反応させ、全ての他の揮発成分(イソプロパノール、シラン化の際に遊離したアルコール及び水)を除去することで、最終組成物は40質量%のSiO2及びちょうど60質量%のウレタンジメタクリラート(UDMA)を含有していた。もはや表面変性からのシランの割合は含まれていなかった。]
UDMA中40質量%までの粒子の混入
上記オルガノゾル126.53gにUDMA50.13gを添加し、混合物が均質となるまで撹拌した。安定剤(例えばMEHQ)の添加の後に、揮発成分を40℃で回転蒸発器で除去し、半透明の高粘度油状物90gが得られ、これはSiO2 40質量%及びUDMA55.7質量%を含有していた。
SiO2からなる乳光性充填剤の製造
水71.4gと、エタノール376.2gと、25体積%のアンモニア溶液9.0gとからなる加水分解混合物を製造した。この加水分解混合物を40℃に加熱し、強力に撹拌しながらテトラエトキシシラン26.4gを添加した。この混合物を40℃で2時間さらに撹拌した。この場合、SiO2一次粒子サイズ約90〜115nmのゾルが生じた。このゾルに、10〜12時間の期間にわたり、水271.4gと、エタノール1433.8gと、25体積%のアンモニア溶液46.8gとからなる加水分解混合物を添加し、並行してテトラエトキシシラン216.7gを添加した。この際に生じる粒子のサイズを、REMで周期的に制御した。
透明性を、ミノルタ社のChromameter CT-31 0で測定した。この場合、水中の規定された試験体(d=1mm)を通過する透過光を、純粋な水試料中の透過光に対して測定する。得られた値はパーセントで表示される。天然のエナメル質の透明性は45〜80%の間で変動する。(US 6,232,367も参照)。
次の実施例中に使用された全ての充填剤は、製造プロセスにおいて明示されていない限り、ミキサー中で水及び重合性の基を有するシラン(ガンマ−メタクリルオキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン(A−174))の添加によって表面処理されている。このシラン含有量は、充填剤のBET表面積に依存し、それぞれの充填剤の全質量に対して4〜10質量%の間で変動する。

上記の結果から、狭いサイズ範囲の充填剤粒子の場合にだけ乳光性が生じることを推知することができる。モノマー混合物1の屈折率と、40nm粒子の屈折率とが一致することにより、透明性は極めて高いが、乳光性が極めて低い。本発明による230nm粒子を用いた場合にだけ、高い透明性と同時に、高い乳光性が達成できる。
高い透明性及び乳光性のコンポジットの製造
前記試料を、上記の記載に従って製造した。充填剤として、試料2からの一次粒子サイズ約230nmの本発明による充填剤を使用した。この試料の組成は、常にモノマー混合物35質量%と充填剤65質量%とからなる。
粒子サイズ約100nmの他の球状の充填剤の割合の添加により、透明性を明らかに変化させずに、乳光性を要求に応じて低減させることができる。50%と70%との透明性の差異は、肉眼によって実際に知覚できない。
Claims (14)
- I. 屈折率1.380〜1.449を有する、少なくとも1種のモノマー又はモノマー混合物と、
II. 屈折率1.40〜<1.45を有し、平均粒子サイズ230nm+/−50nmを有し、粒子の平均値からの標準偏差が7%より低い、少なくとも1種の球形の乳光性充填剤と、
III. 平均粒子サイズ5nm〜1000nmを有する、酸化物系の他の非晶質の球状の充填剤又は充填剤混合物と、
IV. 重合開始剤、安定剤、着色剤又は前記物質の1種以上の混合物とを含有し、
前記成分IとIIとの屈折率の差が≦0.04である、調節可能な半透明性及び高い乳光性を有する硬化性歯科材料。 - 歯科材料は、
セメントの全体の質量に対してそれぞれ
I. 重合性モノマー又は重合性モノマー混合物10〜50質量%と、
II. 乳光性充填剤10〜70質量%と、
III. 他の非晶質の球状の充填剤又は充填剤混合物5〜50質量%と、
IV. 重合開始剤、安定剤、着色剤又は前記成分の1種又は数種の混合物0.01〜5質量%とを含有するセメントである
ことを特徴とする、請求項1記載の歯科材料。 - 歯科材料は、
