Claims (16)
- ベースプレートに複数の発光デバイスラインをなすように配列された複数の発光デバイスと、
前記発光デバイスから離れた側壁を有し、その側壁を介して前記発光デバイス側から入射された光を内部反射により広げ、前記ベースプレートに近い側に散乱領域が形成され、散乱領域に入射された光が乱反射されて、前記ベースプレートと反対側に出射するようになった複数の導光板と、を備え、
前記発光デバイスから出射されて、前記ベースプレートから遠くなる方向に進む光量を減らしつつも、一部の光はそのまま進ませる部分遮断部材をさらに備え、
前記部分遮断部材は、複数の微細孔が形成された反射部材を備え、
前記反射部材の前記複数の微細孔は、前記反射部材を貫通し、
前記反射部材は、前記複数の微細孔が前記導光板と重ならないように、前記導光板同士の間に装着されることを特徴とするバックライトシステム。 - 前記散乱領域は、不連続的に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記散乱領域の幅は、前記発光デバイスから遠くなるほど広くなるように形成されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記散乱領域は、入射光を乱反射させるように形成された散乱パターンや入射光を乱反射させるように塗布された拡散物質からなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記発光デバイス及び導光板側からベースプレートから遠くなる方向に進む光を拡散透過させる透過拡散板をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記透過拡散板から出る光の直進性を向上させるための輝度向上フィルム、及び偏光効率を向上させるための偏光向上フィルムのうち、少なくとも何れか一つをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記透過拡散板から出る光の直進性を向上させるための輝度向上フィルム、及び偏光効率を向上させるための偏光向上フィルムのうち、少なくとも何れか一つをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記発光デバイスは、
光を発生させる発光ダイオードチップと、
前記発光ダイオードチップ側から入射された光をコリメーティングするためのコリメータと、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトシステム。 - 前記コリメータは、入射光を概略的に側方向に進ませる側面放出器及びドーム形状コリメータのうち、何れか一つであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記導光板は、前記発光デバイスラインのうち、少なくとも一つと平行に配置された長いブロック状になり、前記発光デバイスラインの外側と発光デバイスラインとの間にそれぞれ位置することを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項9のうち何れか一項に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記導光板は、透明PMMAから形成されたことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 前記散乱領域は、前記導光板のベースプレートに近い面に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のバックライトシステム。
- 液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルに光を照射する、請求項1ないし9のうち何れか一項に記載のバックライトシステムと、を備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記導光板は、前記発光デバイスラインと平行に配置された長いブロック状になり、前記発光デバイスラインの外側と発光デバイスラインとの間にそれぞれ位置することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記導光板は、透明PMMAから形成されたことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記散乱領域は、前記導光板のベースプレートに近い面に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の液晶表示装置。
