Description
本発明は、2006年12月7日出願のAN IMPROVED PROCESS FOR MAKING HIGH−PRESSURE SHEET GASKETING MATERIALSと題した米国特許仮出願第60/873336号明細書からの優先権を主張し、この特許仮出願の全体は参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
ガスケット材料として用いられる高圧シートは、もともと、繊維の基剤をゴムバインダーと混合し、生成した混合物を圧力及び高温にあてることにより調製されてきた。一般に、このようなシートは、トレステルマシン(Troester machine)等の、一対のロールを有し一方が他方の上側に位置するツーロールシート成形機で製造されてきた。下側ロールは、一般に、より大きい加熱されるロールとして提供されてきたが、上側ロールは、より小さい、通常は加熱されないロールとして提供されてきた。この種類の装置による従来のシートのためには、まず、ある量のスターター化合物を、この熱ロールの上に堆積させる。次いで、ある量の素地化合物を、この2つの回転するロールの間隙の中に加える。高圧シート材料を、この熱ロールの上で所望の厚さに形成し、次いで、取り外し、テーブル又は他の支持体の上に置くことができる。

Claims (23)
