Claims (13)
- ネットワーク内の端末の装置と上流のネットワークの装置とを接続するための通信用パッチパネルにおいて、
前記通信用パッチパネルの前面パネルに設けられた複数の前方側通信用コネクタと、
前記通信用パッチパネルの後面パネルに設けられた複数の後方側通信用コネクタであって、前記後方側通信用コネクタのそれぞれは、前記複数の前方側通信用コネクタの対応するコネクタに電気的に接続されている、後方側通信用コネクタと、
前記複数の前方側通信用コネクタと前記複数の後方側通信用コネクタの各コネクタの中間に接続されている電力源制御回路であって、電源から端末の装置まで通信用ケーブルに沿って電力を供給するように作動する、電力源制御回路と、
前記通信用パッチパネルと前記ネットワークのネットワーク管理システムの間に接続性を提供している第1管理ポートと、
デージーチェーン接続を使用して、多数の通信用パッチパネルが、管理用の1つのイーサネットスイッチポートに接続されるようにする、第2の管理ポートと、を備えている通信用パッチパネル。 - 前記複数の前方側通信用コネクタは、RJ−45ジャックを備えている、請求項1に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- 前記複数の後方側通信用コネクタは、パンチダウンブロックを備えている、請求項1に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- 前記通信用パッチパネルの前記前面パネル上に複数の電力表示灯を更に備えており、前記電力表示灯のそれぞれは、前記前方側ポートの1つに関係付けられており、前記対応する前方側ポートに関係付けられた端末の装置の状態を表示する、請求項1に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- 前記電力表示灯のそれぞれは、前記通信用パッチパネル内の回路板に取り付けられたLEDと、前記LEDと前記通信用パッチパネルの前記前面パネルの間に接続されているライトパイプと、を備えている、請求項4に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- 前記電力源制御回路は、管理コマンドを実行するように作動し、前記管理コマンドは、ネットワーク管理者が互換性を有する電力供給型パッチパネル全てを発見できるようにするコマンドと、前記通信用パッチパネルの物理的位置についての情報を伝達するコマンドと、通信用コネクタに選択的に電力供給するコマンドと、パネル電力状態及び故障の状況に関するリアルタイムの情報を提供するコマンドと、から成る群より選択された少なくとも1つのコマンドを含んでいる、請求項1に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- ネットワーク内の端末の装置と上流のネットワークの装置とを接続するための通信用パッチパネルにおいて、
前記通信用パッチパネルの前面パネルに設けられた複数の前方側RJ−45通信用コネクタと、
前記通信用パッチパネルの後面パネルに設けられた複数の後方側パンチダウン通信用コネクタであって、前記後方側通信用コネクタのそれぞれは、前記複数の前方側通信用コネクタの対応するコネクタに電気的に接続されている、後方側通信用パンチダウンコネクタと、
前記複数の前方側通信用コネクタと前記複数の後方側通信用コネクタの各コネクタの中間に接続されている電力源制御回路であって、電源から端末の装置まで通信用ケーブルに沿って電力を供給するように作動する、電力源制御回路と、
前記通信用パッチパネルと前記ネットワークのネットワーク管理システムの間に接続性を提供するため、及びデージーチェーン接続を使用して複数の通信用パッチパネルを管理用の1つのイーサネットスイッチポートに接続するための、第1及び第2の管理ポートと、を備えている通信用パッチパネル。 - 前記通信用パッチパネルの前記前面上に複数の電力表示灯を更に備えており、前記電力表示灯のそれぞれは、前記前方側RJ−45通信用コネクタの1つに関係付けられており、前記対応するRJ−45通信用コネクタに関係付けられた端末の装置の状態を表示する、請求項7に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- 前記電力表示灯のそれぞれは、前記通信用パッチパネル内の回路板に取り付けられたLEDと、前記LEDと前記通信用パッチパネルの前記前面パネルの間に接続されているライトパイプと、を備えている、請求項8に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- 前記電力源制御回路は、管理コマンドを実行するように作動し、前記管理コマンドは、ネットワーク管理者が互換性を有する電力供給型パッチパネル全てを発見できるようにするコマンドと、前記通信用パッチパネルの物理的位置についての情報を伝達するコマンドと、通信用コネクタに選択的に電力供給するコマンドと、パネル電力状態及び故障の状況に関するリアルタイムの情報を提供するコマンドと、から成る群より選択された少なくとも1つのコマンドを含んでいる、請求項7に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- ネットワーク内の端末の装置と上流のネットワークの装置とを接続するための通信用パッチパネルにおいて、
前記ネットワーク内の上流のネットワークの装置に接続するための、前記通信用パッチパネルの前面パネルに設けられた複数の前方側RJ−45通信用コネクタと、
前記ネットワーク内の端末の装置に接続するための、前記通信用パッチパネルの後面パネルに設けられた複数の後方側パンチダウン通信用コネクタであって、前記後方側パンチダウン通信用コネクタのそれぞれが、前記複数の前方側RJ−45通信用コネクタの対応するコネクタに電気的に接続されている、後方側通信用パンチダウンコネクタと、
前記複数の前方側RJ−45通信用コネクタと前記複数の後方側パンチダウン通信用コネクタの各コネクタの中間に接続されている電力源制御回路であって、電源から端末の装置まで通信用ケーブルに沿って電力を供給するように作動する、電力源制御回路と、
前記通信用パッチパネルと前記ネットワークのネットワーク管理システムの間に接続性を提供している第1管理ポートと、
デージーチェーン接続を使用して、多数の通信用パッチパネルが1つのイーサネットスイッチポートに接続されるようにする第2管理ポートと、を備えており、
前記電力源制御回路は、管理コマンドを実行するように作動し、前記管理コマンドは、ネットワーク管理者が互換性を有する電力供給型パッチパネル全てを発見できるようにするコマンドと、前記通信用パッチパネルの物理的位置についての情報を伝達するコマンドと、通信用コネクタに選択的に電力供給するコマンドと、パネル電力状態及び故障の状況に関するリアルタイムの情報を提供するコマンドと、から成る群より選択された少なくとも1つのコマンドを含んでいる、通信用パッチパネル。 - 前記複数の前方側RJ−45通信用コネクタは、可撓性を有する接続部を介して前記回路板に接続されている、請求項11に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
- 前記複数の後方側パンチダウン通信用コネクタは、可撓性を有する接続部を介して前記回路板に接続されている、請求項11に記載の通信用パッチパネル。
