Description

Claims (12)
- アセンブリと基体とがプロセス方向に沿って相対移動中に、該基体に液滴を付着させるための該アセンブリであって、
第1のプリントヘッドモジュール及び該第1のプリントヘッドモジュールと接触する第2のプリントヘッドモジュールを備え、
各前記プリントヘッドモジュールが、該プリントヘッドモジュールが液滴を射出可能なノズルのアレイを含む表面を備え、
前記第1のプリントヘッドモジュールのノズルアレイの各ノズルが、前記第2のプリントヘッドモジュールのノズルアレイの対応するノズルに対して、前記プロセス方向に直交する方向にオフセットされており、
前記第1のプリントヘッドモジュールが、前記第2のプリントヘッドモジュールの対応する位置決め基準と接触する少なくとも1つの位置決め基準を含み、
前記第1のプリントヘッドモジュールの前記位置決め基準が、該第1のプリントヘッドモジュールの精密面を含み、該精密面が、前記第1のプリントヘッドモジュールの、該精密面からオフセットされた、隣接する領域の精密面より平滑であることを特徴とするアセンブリ。 - 前記第1のプリントヘッドモジュールの前記ノズルアレイの各ノズルが、該ノズルアレイ内の隣接するノズル間の間隔よりも小さい量だけオフセットされることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記第1及び第2のプリントヘッドモジュールの前記表面の前記ノズルアレイの各々が、一定間隔で離間した一列のノズルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 1つ以上の追加のプリントヘッドモジュールを更に備え、該追加のプリントヘッドモジュールの各々が二次元のプリントヘットアレイを形成するためにクランプによって前記第1及び第2のプリントヘッドモジュールに連結されることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記追加のプリントヘッドモジュールの各々が少なくとも1つの他のプリントヘッドモジュールと接触することを特徴とする請求項4記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記第1及び第2のプリントヘッドモジュールに液体を供給するよう構成された液体供給部を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 開口部を有するフレームを更に備え、該開口部は前記フレームを通って延び、前記第1及び第2のプリントヘッドモジュールが前記フレームに取り付けられた際に該第1及び第2のプリントヘッドモジュールの前記表面を露出するよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 二次元のプリントヘットアレイを形成するために前記第1のプリントヘッドモジュールを前記第2のプリントヘッドモジュールに固定するクランプを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- アセンブリと基体とがプロセス方向に沿って相対移動中に、該基体に液滴を付着させるための該アセンブリであって、
プリントヘッドモジュールが液滴を射出可能なノズルのアレイを含む表面を含む前記プリントヘッドモジュールと、
フレームを通って延びる開口部が、前記プリントヘッドモジュールの前記ノズルアレイを含む前記表面を露出するよう構成された、前記開口部を有する前記フレームと、
前記フレーム及び前記プリントヘッドモジュールに機械的に連結された圧電アクチュエータと、
前記圧電アクチュエータと電気的に通信する電子コントローラであって、前記圧電アクチュエータに、前記開口部内の前記プリントヘッドモジュールの位置を前記装置の軸に対して変更させるよう構成された前記電子コントローラと、
を備え、
前記圧電アクチュエータが、プリント中に、前記フレームに対して前記処理方向と垂直な方向に、前記プリントヘッドモジュールをディザリングするよう構成されている
ことを特徴とするアセンブリ。 - 前記軸が前記プロセス方向に直交することを特徴とする請求項9記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記軸が前記ノズルの列に対して平行であることを特徴とする請求項9記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記圧電アクチュエータが、圧電材料の積み重なった複数の層から成ることを特徴とする請求項9記載のアセンブリ。
