Description
前記記録ヘッドにより前記記録対象領域に情報が記録されるときに、
前記加熱手段は、前記記録対象領域が存在する記録対象トラックに隣接する隣接トラックのうち、前記記録ヘッドが有する磁極部分に近い側の隣接トラックのみを加熱することを特徴とする磁気記憶装置である。
以下、本発明に係る磁気記憶装置および磁気記憶媒体の第1の実施形態について図1〜図8に基づいて説明する。
(1)トラックピッチを120nmに設定し、対象トラックの左右の隣接トラックにそれぞれ100kFCIのビットパターンを書き込んだ後、各隣接トラックの出力値を測定。
(2)対象トラックに800kFCIのビットパターンを10000回記録(書き込み)。
(3)各隣接トラックの出力値を再度測定し、(1)で測定された初期出力値からの減衰率を測定。
次に、本発明の第2の実施形態について説明する。

Claims (6)
- 情報記録用の記録層と、その少なくとも一部に前記記録層のキュリー温度よりも低いキュリー温度である低キュリー温度部分を有する裏打ち層とを有する磁気記憶媒体と、
前記記録層に対し、前記裏打ち層の反対側から記録磁界を発生して、前記記録層に情報を記録する記録ヘッドと、
前記記録ヘッドが前記記録磁界を発生して情報を記録する記録対象領域の周囲の領域の少なくとも一部を加熱する加熱手段と、を備え、
前記記録ヘッドにより前記記録対象領域に情報が記録されるときに、
前記加熱手段は、前記記録対象領域が存在する記録対象トラックに隣接する隣接トラックのうち、前記記録ヘッドが有する磁極部分に近い側の隣接トラックのみを加熱することを特徴とする磁気記憶装置。 - 前記低キュリー温度部分は、前記裏打ち層のうち前記記録層に最も近い位置に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の磁気記憶装置。
- 前記低キュリー温度部分は、キュリー温度が200℃以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の磁気記憶装置。
- 前記低キュリー温度部分は、Al、Ti、Cr、Mo、及びSiのうちの少なくとも1つ以上の元素を含むNi基軟磁性材料から形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の磁気記憶装置。
- 前記裏打ち層は、トラック状又はビット状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の磁気記憶装置。
- 前記記録層は、前記裏打ち層と同一形状で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の磁気記憶装置。
