Claims (13)
- フレキシブル内視鏡であって、
遠位端部および近位端部を有すると共に、
電気的に絶縁された耐水素材を具備してなるフレキシブルな外側層と、
前記外側層によって取り囲まれた内側層であって、この内側層の外面と前記外側層の内面とは、その長手方向長さに沿って互いに接触している内側層と、
前記フレキシブルな外側層内に配置された複数の長尺なセグメントであって、電流を印加した際に特性が変化するポリマー素材を具備してなる複数の長尺なセグメントと、を含むフレキシブルなシャフト部と、
前記フレキシブルなシャフト部に対して連結されたハンドル部と、
前記複数の長尺なセグメントに対して電流を供給するための電源と、
前記複数の長尺なセグメントと前記電源との間を電気的につなぐ導電体と、を具備してなり、
前記導電体は、前記フレキシブルなシャフト部から、前記ハンドル部を通って、前記電源まで延在しており、
前記複数の長尺なセグメントは、前記フレキシブルなシャフト部の長手方向長さに沿って、端部同士を突き合わせた状態で、前記外側層内に配置されており、かつ、各長尺なセグメントは、前記内側層に対して取り付けられた少なくとも一つの端部を有し、前記複数の長尺なセグメントに対して電流を印加したとき、前記複数の長尺なセグメントは物理的寸法が変化し、かつ、
前記内側層は、前記複数の長尺なセグメントの少なくとも一つの寸法変化に基づいて、前記外側層に対して移動するようになっていることを特徴とするフレキシブル内視鏡。 - 前記内側層は、編組材、溝付きチューブ、およびその組み合わせからなる群から選ばれた一つであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 前記複数の長尺なセグメントは、前記フレキシブルなシャフト部の周りに互いに向き合って放射状に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 前記複数の長尺なセグメントは、互い違いに配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 前記少なくとも一つの長尺なセグメントは、前記フレキシブルなシャフト部の長さに沿って延在する連続的なイオンポリマー材料を具備してなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 前記ハンドル部は、前記フレキシブルなシャフト部の制御のため、前記少なくとも一つの長尺なセグメントに指令を発するためのインターフェースを具備してなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 内視鏡はビデオ内視鏡からなると共に、さらに内視鏡によって生成されたビデオデータを処理するためのビデオシステムを具備してなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- ビデオデータをユーザーに対して表示するためのディスプレイをさらに具備してなることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 内視鏡はさらに、前記フレキシブルなシャフト部内にケーブルを具備してなる機械的に操作可能な内視鏡からなり、前記少なくとも一つの長尺なセグメントに対して電流を印加することによって、あるいは前記フレキシブルなシャフト内の前記ケーブルの機械的操作によって、あるいはその両方によって、ユーザーが前記フレキシブルなシャフト部を撓ませることができるようになっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- フレキシブル内視鏡であって、
遠位端部および近位端部を有すると共に、
電気的に絶縁された耐水素材を具備してなるフレキシブルな外側層と、
前記フレキシブルな外側層によって取り囲まれた内側層であって、この内側層の外面と前記外側層の内面とは、その長手方向長さに沿って互いに接触している内側層と、
前記フレキシブルな外側層内に配置され、かつ電流を印加した際に特性が変化するポリマー素材を具備してなる少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントであって、第1の端部および第2の端部を有する少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントと、を含むフレキシブルなシャフト部と、
前記少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントに対して電流を供給するための電源と、
前記フレキシブルなシャフト部に対して連結されたハンドル部と、を具備してなり、
前記少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントはそれぞれ前記内側層に対して取り付けられた少なくとも一つの端部を有し、かつ、
前記少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントに対して電流を供給したとき、前記少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントは物理的寸法が変化し、かつ、
前記内側層は、前記少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントの少なくとも一つの寸法変化に基づいて、前記外側層に対して移動するようになっていることを特徴とするフレキシブル内視鏡。 - 前記内側層は、編組材、溝付きチューブ、およびその組み合わせからなる群から選ばれた一つであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 前記少なくとも一つの長尺なセグメントは、前記フレキシブルな外側層内に配置された複数の長尺なセグメントを具備してなることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
- 内視鏡はさらに、前記フレキシブルなシャフト部内にケーブルを具備してなる機械的に操作可能な内視鏡からなり、前記少なくとも二つの長尺なセグメントに対して電流を印加することによって、あるいは前記フレキシブルなシャフト部内の前記ケーブルの機械的操作によって、あるいはその両方によって、ユーザーが前記フレキシブルなシャフト部を撓ませることができるようになっていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のフレキシブル内視鏡。
