Description
従って、本発明の主要な課題は、生物系高分子基材シート上に生分解性樹脂層を積層することにより、生分解性で且つバリア性の良好な積層シートを与えることにある。
本発明のポリグリコール酸樹脂系積層シートを構成する含水性且つ生分解性の高分子基材シートは、生分解性高分子からなる基材シートで含水性のものである。生分解性高分子としては、植物および動物を含む生物由来の天然高分子あるいはその誘導体を用いることができるが、基材シートと全体としての生分解性を阻害しない範囲で、含水接着剤を形成する合成高分子(例えばビニルアルコール樹脂、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体などの酢酸ビニル樹脂、ビニルピロリドン樹脂)を含んでもよい。
本発明で使用するポリグリコール酸樹脂(以下、しばしば「PGA樹脂」という)は、下記式(1)

−(O・CH2・CO)− (1)
で表わされるグリコール酸繰り返し単位のみからなるグリコール酸の単独重合体(PGA、グリコール酸の2分子間環状エステルであるグリコリド(GL)の開環重合物を含む)に加えて、上記グリコール酸繰り返し単位を70重量%以上含むポリグリコール酸共重合体を含むものである。
本発明の積層シートの必須の構成要素であるポリグリコール酸樹脂層は、上記したポリグリコール酸樹脂単独で構成することが好ましいが、含まれる上記したグリコール酸繰り返し単位が70重量%以上、好ましくは90重量%以上となる範囲で、他の生分解性樹脂あるいは全体として生分解性を維持する範囲で他の熱可塑性樹脂との混合物で形成してもよい。グリコール酸繰り返し単位量が減少するに従ってバリア性が低下する傾向を示すので、上記量範囲を満たすべきである。熱安定剤、可塑剤、滑剤等は、適宜、目的に応じて添加可能だが、生分解性の高分子基材シートとの積層接着性に影響を与える場合があるので、その量と種類の選択は本発明の目的を損なわない範囲で調整される。
本発明のポリグリコール酸樹脂系積層シートは、上記したようなポリグリコール酸樹脂からなるポリグリコール酸樹脂層と、含水状態にある含水性且つ生分解性の高分子基材シートまたはその前駆体とを積層し、熱圧着成形することにより得られる。
上記熱圧着成形に先立って、あるいは熱圧着成形後にPGA樹脂と併用して他の生分解性樹脂を用いることもできる。特に上記PGA樹脂層に、他の生分解性樹脂層を積層して用いることができる。このような目的で用いる他の生分解性樹脂としては、グルテン、コラーゲンなどのたんぱく質系を含むポリアミノ酸及びポリエステルアミド類(コラーゲン、ポリアスパラギン酸)、ポリアルキレングリコールなどのポリエーテル類(PEG)、ポリビニルアルコールなどの水溶性多価アルコールポリマー類(PVA)、ポリグリコール酸、ポリ乳酸などのポリ(α−オキシ酸)類(例えば三井化学(株)製「レイシア」)、ポリヒドロキシ酪酸(P3HB)などのポリ(ω−オキシ酸)類(例えばモンサント社製「バイオポール」)、ポリカプロラクトンなどのポリラクトン類(例えばダイセル化学工業(株)製「セルグリーン」)、少なくともコハク酸などの脂肪族ジカルボン酸とグリコール類の縮合物類(例えば昭和高分子(株)製「ビオノーレ」、三菱化学(株)製「GS−Pla」、デュポン社製「バイオマックス」)などが挙げられ、さらには例えばトリメチレンカーボネートなどと共重合することなどによりカーボネート構造などを含むこともできる。これらは単独あるいは複数が同時に構成されていてもかまわない。なかでも、ポリ乳酸などのポリ(α−オキシ酸)類(「レイシア」)、ポリヒドロキシ酪酸(P3HB)などのポリ(ω−オキシ酸)類(「バイオポール」)、ポリカプロラクトンなどのポリラクトン類(「セルグリーン」)、少なくともコハク酸などの脂肪族ジカルボン酸とグリコール類の縮合物類(「ビオノーレ」、「GS−Pla」、「バイオマックス」)などのポリエステル類が好ましい。
試料PGA樹脂約50mgを、内部標準物質4−クロロベンゾフェノンの濃度0.2mg/mlのジメチレンスルホキシド(DMSO)溶液1mlに、150℃で約10分加熱して溶解させ、室温まで冷却した後、ろ過を行なう。分取したろ液をGC装置に注入し測定を行なった。この測定により得られた数値より、ポリマー中に含まれる重量%として、グリコリド量を算出した。GC分析条件は以下の通りである。
カラム:「TC−17」(0.25mmΦ×30m)
カラム温度:150℃で5分保持後、20℃/分で270℃まで昇温して、270℃で3分間保持。
気化室温度:180℃
検出器:FID(水素炎イオン化検出器)
温度:300℃。
試料PGA樹脂、または積層シートの生分解性高分子基材シート層をできるだけ除いたPGA樹脂層の約10mgを、0.5mLのDMSO中に150℃で2分間過熱して溶解させ、室温まで冷却させて、PGAを析出させる。析出したPGAを溶媒ヘキサフルオロイソプロパノールに溶解し、10mLに定容する。不溶分をろ過により除去して、ろ液をGPCにかけ、ポリメチルメタクリレート換算の重量平均分子量(Mw)を測定した。
装置:昭和電工(株)製「Shodex−104」
カラム:HFIP−606M、2本(直列接続)およびプレカラム、
カラム温度:40℃、
溶離液:5mMのトリフルオロ酢酸ナトリウムを溶解させたHFIP溶液、
流速:0.6ml/分、
検出器:RI(Refractive Index:示差屈折率)検出器、
分子量校正:分子量の異なる標準ポリメタクリル酸メチル5種を用いた。
MODERN CONTROL社製酸素透過量測定装置「MOCON OX−TRAN2/20型」を使用し、23℃・80%相対湿度の条件でJIS K7126(等圧法)に記載の方法に準じて測定した。
40℃・90%相対湿度の条件で、JIS K7129の記載に従って測定した。
厚み100μmのPGA単層プレスシート(重量平均分子量:16万、PGA中のグリコリド量0.2重量%)4枚に、それぞれ、でんぷん100重量部に対して水を56重量部含むでんぷん水分散液を約1g/m2(固形分)の割合で載せ、150℃で圧力および時間を変えて熱圧着成形した。でんぷん水分散液の水分を蒸発させ、でんぷんを発泡させることで、4種の積層シートを得た。得られた積層シートにおいては、発泡により形成されたでんぷん層は、ポリグリコール酸樹脂層と良好に接着していた。

5MPa、5秒 : 約13万5千
でんぷん水分散液中の水含有量を、でんぷん100重量部当り0重量部〜150重量部の範囲で次表のように変化する以外は実施例1と同様にして、150℃で10MPa−20秒および5MPaで5秒の2種の条件下で熱圧着成形を行い、得られた積層シート中のでんぷん層の発泡状態およびPGA層との接着状態判定およびPGA層のMw測定を行った。結果を次表1に示す。
上記実施例1において、150℃、5MPa、5秒の熱圧着成形条件で得られた積層シートについて、PGA層側を高酸素あるいは高水蒸気側として、酸素透過量および水蒸気透過量を測定したところ、それぞれ1.2cc/m2/day/atmおよび3.0g/m2/dayの値が得られた。
でんぷんのり(ヤマト(株)製「ヤマト糊」)を25mg/cm2で塗布した直後のクラフト紙(厚み65μm、65g/m2)を用意し、でんぷん糊を塗布した面を上にして更にその上に厚み20μmのPGA単層フィルム(重量平均分子量:18万、PGA中のグリコリド量0.08重量%)を載せ、200℃で1MPaの圧力で10秒間、熱圧着成形した。得られた積層シートにおいては、ポリグリコール酸樹脂層と紙層は良好に接着していた。
Claims (12)
- 含水状態にある含水生分解性高分子接着剤からなる高分子基材シートの前駆体または含水生分解性高分子接着剤を含浸させた含水性且つ生分解性の高分子基材シートと、残留モノマー量が0.2重量%以下であるポリグリコール酸樹脂層とを熱圧着することにより得られた、少なくとも発泡状態にある含水生分解性高分子接着剤を含む含水性且つ生分解性の高分子基材シートとポリグリコール酸樹脂層との熱圧着成形体からなるポリグリコール酸樹脂系積層シート。
- 含水性且つ生分解性の高分子基材シートが含水性接着剤樹脂からなる請求項1に記載の積層シート。
- 含水性且つ生分解性の高分子基材シートが含水性接着剤樹脂を含浸した多孔質生物系高分子基材シートからなる請求項1に記載の積層シート。
- 多孔質生物系高分子基材シートが紙からなる請求項3に記載の積層シート。
- 含水性接着剤樹脂がでんぷんからなる請求項2〜4のいずれかに記載の積層シート。
- ポリグリコール酸樹脂が−OCH2CO−繰り返し単位を70重量%以上の割合で含むポリグリコール酸(共)重合体からなる請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の積層シート。
- ポリグリコール酸樹脂の分子量(Mw)が30000〜600000である請求項6に記載の積層シート。
- ポリグリコール酸樹脂層が延伸配向されている請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の積層シート。
- 温度23℃、相対湿度80%で測定した酸素透過係数が、8cc/m2/day/atm以下である請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の積層シート。
- 40℃、相対湿度90%における水蒸気透過度が25g/m2/day以下である請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の積層シート。
- 含水状態にある含水性且つ生分解性の高分子基材シートの前駆体としての含水でんぷん粒子をポリグリコール酸樹脂層と積層し、ポリグリコール酸樹脂層と熱圧着するとともに発泡させ、発泡でんぷんシート層とポリグリコール酸樹脂層との積層シートを形成してなる請求項1に記載の積層シート。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の積層シートからなる包装容器。
