機外から紙幣が投入される入金部と、機外へ取出可能となるように紙幣が機内から繰り出される出金部と、紙幣を収納するとともに収納した紙幣を前記出金部に出金させる複数の還流庫と、前記入金部または前記複数の還流庫からの紙幣を収納可能な回収庫と、前記還流庫から出金された紙幣のうちの出金リジェクト紙幣を収納する出金リジェクト庫とを有する紙幣入出金機において、
前記入金部前記出金部前記回収庫前記出金リジェクト庫前記複数の還流庫とのすべてを、受け入れた紙幣の厚さ方向が同方向となるようにして該方向に一列状に並設してなるとともに、
前記入金部、前記出金部、前記回収庫および前記出金リジェクト庫を一纏まりの第1の構成群とし、該第1の構成群における前記並設の方向に対し直交する方向の一側のみに、前記入金部、前記出金部、前記回収庫および前記出金リジェクト庫を接続させる第1搬送部を配設し、
前記複数の還流庫を一纏まりの第2の構成群とし、該第2構成群における前記一側とは逆側のみに、前記複数の還流庫を接続させる第2搬送部を配設して、
