Claims (8)
- 中心電極と、
前記中心電極を保持する絶縁碍子と、
当該絶縁碍子を周方向に保持する主体金具と、
前記絶縁碍子の先端に、前記中心電極の先端を収容する凹部状に形成されたキャビティと、
前記キャビティを介し前記中心電極との間で火花放電間隙を形成する接地電極と、
を有するプラズマジェット点火プラグであって、
前記接地電極は、前記主体金具に接合される棒状部材であって、
前記接地電極の先端は、前記キャビティの開口端の径方向外側0.5[mm]の位置から、内側に位置するとともに、
前記接地電極の部位のうち、前記主体金具との接合によって形成された溶接部位が前記接地電極の延伸方向に沿って延びる長さをw、前記接地電極の先端側へ向け前記溶接部位より延びる部位の長さをdとしたときに、
d/(d+w)≦0.8
であるプラズマジェット点火プラグ。 - 前記接地電極の先端は、前記キャビティの開口端の径方向外側0.2[mm]の位置から、内側に位置する請求項1に記載のプラズマジェット点火プラグ。
- 前記接地電極は、前記絶縁碍子の先端に当接している請求項1または2に記載のプラズマジェット点火プラグ。
- 前記接地電極は、内側方向に突出する請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のプラズマジェット点火プラグ。
- 前記接地電極を、複数有する請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のプラズマジェット点火プラグ。
- 前記接地電極の先端には、前記キャビティ側に貴金属チップが接合されている請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のプラズマジェット点火プラグ。
- 軸線方向と直交する仮想平面上に前記キャビティの前記開口端を投影し、投影された前記開口端の輪郭線と同心で2倍の直径を有する仮想境界線内に、前記接地電極を投影した場合の投影面積が、前記仮想境界線内の面積の30%以下となる請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載のプラズマジェット点火プラグ。
- 前記仮想平面上において、投影された前記接地電極のうち前記開口端の輪郭線よりも内側に投影される投影面積が、前記開口端の輪郭線内の面積の15%以下となる請求項7に記載のプラズマジェット点火プラグ。
