Claims (7)
- 複数のセルからなる画面をもつプラズマディスプレイパネルと、
少なくとも前記画面から射出される射出光に対する光学フィルタ機能をもち、前記プラズマディスプレイパネルの前面基板に貼り付けられた厚さが2mm以下のシートであって、その熱伝導率は前記プラズマディスプレイパネルの前面基板の熱伝導率よりも小さくかつ外気の熱伝導率よりも大きいシートと、
階調に応じた回数の表示放電を生じさせる駆動電圧パルスを前記プラズマディスプレイパネルに供給する駆動電圧出力回路と、
入力される画像の表示率に応じて前記駆動電圧パルスの数を制御する自動電力制御を行うと共に、前記自動電力制御により設定された前記駆動電圧パルスの数に対応する消費電力と、前記入力される画像が前記プラズマディスプレイパネル上で表示される発光領域の面積に基づいて演算した局所電力密度が設定値を超えた場合に、時間と共に前記駆動電圧パルスの数を減らすように前記駆動電圧出力回路を制御する制御部とを有することを特徴とするディスプレイ装置。 - 40℃以下の環境での動作において、前記シートの前面の温度が70℃以下に保たれ、かつ前記プラズマディスプレイパネルの前面の温度が80℃以下に保たれる請求項1記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記シートの1平方メートル当りの重量が0.2kgから3kgの範囲内の値である請求項1記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記シートにおける前記プラズマディスプレイパネルとの当接面を構成する材料の熱伝導率が、0.1W・m -1 ・K -1 から0.4W・m -1 ・K -1 の範囲内の値である請求項1記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記設定値は1500W/m 2 である請求項1記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記単位面積あたりの消費電力が1500W/m 2 を超えたときに、30分以内に当該単位面積あたりの消費電力を1500W/m 2 に収束させる請求項5記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記シートは、フィルム上に前記画面から射出される射出光に対する光学フィルタ機能層を備えた光学フィルム層と、
前記プラズマディスプレイパネルから射出される電磁波を遮蔽する導電層を備えた電磁波遮蔽層と、
を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のディスプレイ装置。
