Description
そしてこのような合成反力トルクの応答性への影響は、作動油の圧力が低い場合、例えば機関回転数の低い場合に特に顕著になる。
6番目の発明によっても1番目から5番目の発明とほぼ同様の作用及び効果を得ることができる。
図1は、自動車用直列4気筒DOHC機関に本発明を適用した実施形態のカムシャフト配置を説明するための図である。図1において、1は吸気バルブカムシャフト、3は排気バルブカムシャフト、5は機関のクランクシャフトを示す。バルブカムシャフト1及び3は、タイミングベルト7を介してクランクシャフト5に同期して駆動されている。

Claims (6)
- 内燃機関の気筒に設けられたバルブを開閉駆動するバルブ駆動用カムを設けたバルブカムシャフトにポンプ駆動用カムを設けて内燃機関の燃料ポンプを駆動するようにした内燃機関において、上記内燃機関の気筒に設けられたバルブの開閉タイミングを変更する内燃機関の制御装置であって、
開閉タイミングの変更中に開閉タイミングが目標とする開閉タイミングの方向とは逆方向に戻されるのを抑制する手段を有すると共に、開閉タイミングを目標とする開閉タイミングの方向へ変更するのに上記内燃機関の気筒に設けられたバルブの開閉駆動に伴って上記バルブカムシャフトに作用するバルブ開閉駆動反力トルクと上記燃料ポンプの駆動に伴って上記バルブカムシャフトに作用する燃料ポンプ駆動反力トルクとの合成反力トルクを利用することを考慮して上記バルブ駆動用カムと上記ポンプ駆動用カムの相対回転位相が設定されていることを特徴とする、内燃機関の制御装置。 - 内燃機関の気筒に設けられたバルブを開閉駆動するバルブ駆動用カムを設けたバルブカムシャフトにポンプ駆動用カムを設けて内燃機関の燃料ポンプを駆動するようにした内燃機関において、上記内燃機関の気筒に設けられたバルブの開閉タイミングを変更する内燃機関の制御装置であって、
開閉タイミングの変更中に開閉タイミングが目標とする開閉タイミングの方向とは逆方向に戻されるのを抑制する手段を有すると共に、上記バルブ駆動用カムと上記ポンプ駆動用カムの相対回転位相が、上記内燃機関の気筒に設けられたバルブの開閉駆動に伴って上記バルブカムシャフトに作用するバルブ開閉駆動反力トルクと上記燃料ポンプの駆動に伴って上記バルブカムシャフトに作用する燃料ポンプ駆動反力トルクとの合成反力トルクの値の変動幅が最大になるように設定されていることを特徴とする、内燃機関の制御装置。 - 上記バルブ駆動用カムと上記ポンプ駆動用カムの相対回転位相が、上記バルブ駆動用カムのカムリフト最大となるタイミングと上記ポンプ駆動用カムのカムリフト最大となるタイミングとが一致するように設定されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 上記バルブカムシャフトの一回転中に上記バルブ駆動用カムがバルブを開閉駆動する回数が、上記ポンプ駆動用カムが燃料ポンプを駆動する回数より多いことを特徴とする、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 上記バルブ駆動用カムと上記ポンプ駆動用カムの相対回転位相が、上記合成反力トルクの値の変動幅が予め定めた変動幅未満になるように設定されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 上記内燃機関の気筒に設けられたバルブの開閉タイミングの変更が、少なくとも一つの油圧室に油路を介して作動油を供給して油圧作動アクチュエータを作動させることによって行われ、
上記開閉タイミングの変更中に開閉タイミングが目標とする開閉タイミングの方向とは逆方向に戻されるのを抑制する手段として上記油路に上記油圧室へ作動油を供給すべきときに作動油が逆流しないように機能する逆流防止手段が設けられていることを特徴とする、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
